  • A very relaxing week in Waimanalo

"This is a great location if you want to discover the windward, more quiet and scenic side of Oahu. Waimanalo Beach offers the Hawaiian experience the way locals live it. Just a few miles from Kailua or a 30 minute drive from Honolulu, you can still enjoy the larger cities while relaxing on one of the most beautiful beach in the world... without the crowds. As described, the apartment is comfortable, clean and spacious. Ideal for a small family or 2 couples. It is well furbished and we didn't miss anything. The host, Rena, is very welcoming and attentional. She is born on the island and she loves sharing valuable tips and recommendations. We felt like family, from the first minutes. I would definitely go back and recommend this property to friends and family."

  • Home away from home

"My family of 4 (2 teenage boys) stayed at Gilles and Angela's cozy cottage. There is nothing better than than being on vacation while having ALL the conviences of home. The kitchen was fully equipped, full cable television and internet service. The bedroom was perfect for a great nights sleep. The queen size bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom air conditioner was perfect for those humid nights we experienced. The enclosed porch served as another bedroom with the mattress as comfortable as the main bedroom. The living room had a sofa bed, not as comfortable as the other beds but served the purpose it was intended to. My boys were absolutely thrilled with the sleeping arrangements and that they had their own space and they weren't going to have to share a bed for 5 nights, unlike a hotel. The beach, in our opinion, was by far the best beach on the island. Make sure to allocate enough time while on vacation to take full advantage of this backyard oasis. Gilles and Angela have plenty of toys and chairs available for your enjoyment. The only minor disappointment in our opinion was the size of the bathroom. The size of the shower, little room to hang towels/bathing suits, and counter top was tight but nothing from keeping me from revisiting the cottage. From the beginning of our stay until the end Gilles and Angela were extremely welcoming and truly wanted our family to have the best Hawaiian experience, which we totally did! Thank you Gilles and Angela!"

  • Very clean, stocked & homey

"There were 3 couples staying here: my husband and me, my son and his new wife, and my mom and her husband. This place is roomier than it looks so we were never "stepping over" each other. The air conditioning (with remotes) in each room was a real bonus. All six of us would highly recommend this home away from home. Mahalo from The Padgetts, The Wilsons and The Hayes!"

  • Convenient Location

"We spent 4 nights here and were pleased with the location and accommodation's. Our only problem was the unit is upstairs as we have kids and I'm sure they were loud for the tenants downstairs (sorry!). The GORGEOUS beach is at the end of the street, not a long walk at all. We rented a car and were able to visit other beaches/towns - Kailua and Lanikai. We had plenty of room, this place will easily accommodate a family with 3-4 children. Nice dining table and breakfast bar. The fold out futons were VERY comfortable. My kids loved the fish pond. Being upstairs, this place stayed rather warm - that would be my only complaint. Wasn't a huge issue though, and would definitely stay again. Thanks!!!!"
