  • A Fantastic Place to Stay

"Rick and Tamy's lovely place far exceeded our expectations. The room we had was small but quite well appointed, very clean and very comfortable. There is a "common room" in which you can relax, read, play games, watch tv, have tea and coffee. Outside each suite is a lovely porch. We had our breakfast there each day. There is an outdoor shower (nice after the beach), beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, surf boards, snorkels and flippers and just about any water "toy" you can think of. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and private...and the beach was one of the most beautiful and uncrowded beaches we saw on Oahu..and just across the street! Being in Waimanalo was convenient for touring by car all parts of the island and yet was away from the traffic and congestion (and the overinflated prices) of Honolulu and Waikiki. Our hostess, Carleen, a good friend of Rick and Tamy's (they were away at the time), was lovely and a most delightful and helpful guide to the area. Unbeknownst to us, there was a first class snorkeling area quite close to our Waimanalo "home" called Hamauna Bay and we took advantage of some really wonderful snorkeling without having to travel far. Our stay at Rick and Tamy's was the most relaxing part of our 17 day stay in the four islands we visited, and we most definitely would stay there again if the opportunity to return to Hawaii presents itself in the future."

  • Perfect Vacation

"Staying oceanfront in this little bungalow was the perfect escape for our family. Great location for exploring, hikes, adventures, sites, or just relaxing. We snorkeled every day then into the hot tub. 3 teenagers were supremely happy. Enough said, right?"

  • Great place to stay and easily accessable to all

"My wife and I went with my 9 year old son and 4 year old Daughter. This place was everything as advertised and more. Rosina and her husband prepared everything about this place and didn't leave about a single detail. They were also such gracious hosts. The town of Waimanalo is very small and quiet, yet large enough to provide everything you need. Its close to Honolulu as well as some of the places we went to such as The North Shore, Polynesian cultural center, Pearl Harbor and other nearby beaches. On that note, the beach closest to the cottage was very beautiful and a great place for kids to play in. Can't wait to go back."

  • We loved Hawaii and this was a great base for exploring and was very comfortable

"We had everything we needed and were very close to a beautiful beach. We had a fantastic holiday. Mark recommended Dolphin Excursions and made the arrangements for us and we had the most amazing day. It really helped on the last day being allowed to check out in the evening as we had a late flight home."
