  • GREAT VACATION HOME!

"We had a family vacation with our children and grandchildren. We were 9 adults and 4 small children. There was plenty of space for all of us. The courtyard by the BBQ was great for all of us to sit outside and eat, and the little ones had plenty of space to play. The beach is so close, and I enjoyed being able to walk barefoot to it. We enjoyed the beach which is beautiful and not very busy. The kids enjoyed the beach toys that were at the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and bake brownies. The extra refrigerator outside was great to put all the drinks in. Robyn was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would highly recommend the house. • Amazing room, great location, and friendly owners!

"Nancy and Rick went above and beyond making our stay fantastic. The studio was very comfortable, and the full kitchen helped. There were buggy boards available for us to use, plus chairs. The walk to the beach is 2 minutes, which made life easier not having to find parking at the beach. Would highly recommend this studio for its location and the friendliness of the owners, Rick, and Nancy."

  • Cute property, perfect location and with all amenities of "home"

"I personally didn't get to see or talk to the owners much while we were there, but the house was perfect for what we needed! We were there getting married on Kalama Beach, which was just a short walk from the house. The town of Kailua had grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, etc and even a Target store, all within a 2 minute drive of the house. The house reminded me of a cottage, but it was perfect for our family of 4. There was even enough space for someone to come and do my hair and makeup the morning of the wedding. The kitchen was stocked with general necessities, and the bbq outside was a nice feature. We were able to go to FoodLand to purchase the makings to prepare a portion of our meals at the house, instead of having to eat out for every meal for the week. There were shampoos, conditioners, body wash and other toiletries available for use, as well as plenty of towels, wash cloths, and linens. There was even a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board available to use, which was helpful! If we ever make it back to Oahu again, I will definitely try to stay at this location again. My only complaint was that when we arrived there, some glass had been broken in the kitchen, and only partially cleaned up. We kept finding little shards of glass with our feet (due to the no shoes in the house rule) and it wasn't until a couple of days after we arrived that we found the broom and dust pan to finish cleaning up the glass ourselves. All in all, the trip was amazing, the house is perfect, and has the most ideal location on the island, in my opinion. Thank you again, Sue and Ron, for allowing us to stay in your home, and for allowing us to mail packages to your home prior to our arrival and for holding them for us until we arrived. I highly recommend this house to anyone coming to the island, especially if you are traveling with children."

  • Exceptional location, property and owners

"Our family of 5 spent the entire month of July 2016 in Lanikai and had my 2 sister-in-laws there with us for 2 weeks. The owners Reenie and Barney literally became like family to us. The property was very clean and comfortable and just as described. Actually the photos don't do it justice. The location is outstanding. My husband and I had lived in Hawaii in Lanikai 20+ years ago so we knew that this was the area we wanted to stay in on the island. This area of the windward side is great. The beaches are family-oriented and the neighborhood is quiet. There are plenty of great places to eat and shop right in Kailua. The swimming and snorkeling at Lanikai is the best. The owners have everything you need to enjoy your trip. There are beach chairs, floats, boogie and surf boards, and more. There are all kinds of kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, private parking so you never worry about finding a spot on the street and you are just steps from the beach. The covered porch is where we spent a lot of our time in the mornings and evenings. There are many listings in Lanikai that talk about great views and just steps from the beach. Trust me from someone who has lived here and visited here recently, this is the best location. Even though other listings may show great views and photos if you walk to the beach from those properties you will have to climb back up a steep hill or climb stairs. We never even put on our shoes to go to the beach since all we had to do was cross the street and we were on the beach access path with sand. Also there are listing that are not close to the sandy part of Lanikai's beach, this property is right in the middle of the sandy part of Lanikai's beach. We are already talking about when can we get back to Lanikai and this is the place we want to stay."
