  • Perfect cottage

"My husband and I have rented through VBRO many times, all over the world. This was one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed in (well, with the exception of one in Paris!). When I first read the reviews for this cottage, I had a hard time believing it was as amazing as everyone said. But staying for a week and a half here confirmed every review! I won't repeat what was said in the other reviews but every comment is accurate. A few things we appreciated: We have stayed in Hawaii many times and my husband was interested in local, authentic restaurants (instead of touristy spots). Dave took the time to give us a long list of favorite restaurants, of which we visited many. It was unusually warm and humid when we were there. The air conditioning was great for the few times we needed, and cooled the cottage down quickly when we returned in the late afternoons. Kailua beach is one of the nicest beaches on Oahu and really is just a few minutes walk away. It is early empty during the week, and a fun atmosphere on the weekends. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, and the pictures of the lanai don't give the lovely, private backyard justice. Often VRBO rentals are filled with mismatched dishes, silverware and pots. Not only did this cottage have everything you could need for making simple meals, everything was high quality, matching and nice. I could rave on and on, but I will just thank you, Dave and Pua, for a wonderful, peaceful stay in your cottage."

  • Best wedding ever!

"We rented this home for my wedding, so we could stay there and also get married there. It was the absolute perfect venue. I loved the fact that the house was historic, which just adds to its beauty. The property managers and caretaker were wonderful to deal with also. Everyone who came to the wedding were in awe of the beauty, but we were especially lucky to have been able to wake up there every day for a week."

  • The cottage was just as nice and tastefully decorated as it is in the photos. Very clean and secure.

"This cottage is a perfect place to stay in Kailua. It's beautifully renovated and the owners have thought of everything to make the stay hassle free from kitchen ware to beach toys and towels, coolers with ice, and excellent bikes to make it a car free vacation. The yard is huge and they have provided a grill, picnic table and lounge chairs for your convenience snd a private lanai for enjoying it all. The owners are on premises and available at any time, but also not intrusive. The location couldn't be better since it's only about 10 minutes to walk to Kailua and Lanikai beaches, or to the downtown shops, grocery stores and restaurants. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. It's a terrific destination for someone eager to stay out of the frenzy of Honolulu and enjoy the prettiest beaches on the island, or a couple who loves water sports and flat water for kayaking and SUP. Also great to have FREE parking. I would highly recommend it and definitely stay here again."

  • Amazing vacation rental

"We stayed 2 weeks (Sept - Oct) at Jasmine house, and was completely satisfied with the property. We had both of our children with us (3years & 18 months), and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was spotless, with a very private yard which was perfect for having a BBQ, and a great spot to relax at night. Location was great, just a short walk to a quiet part of Kailua beach (5 mins), or a 5 min drive to Kailua beach park and Lanikai beach. Kailua beach park was great for young kids because there is a shallow sand lagoon on the beach for them swim and play in, and Lanikai beach was beautiful. The house had beach chairs, boogie boards, 2 sets of scuba gear, kids toys etc, everything you'll need is there. Liz was great, she provided us with all the info we needed, and even took the time to write down some trip ideas that our kids would enjoy at their age. This was our first visit to Oahu (been to Maui many times), and we absolutely loved Kailua, and our stay at the Jasmine house. Will be returning for sure!! Thanks, Liz!"
