  • Our second stay in Paradise

"Janet and family were wonderful and very helpful! And their unit is nicely furnished and beautiful! We had fun in the surrounding areas(all short drives away), but mostly enjoyed the quiet beach right outside our door. The new restaurant, The Fat Boys provided the local plate lunch food we were craving! We hope to be back! Mahalo Fuselier Family!!"

  • Comfortable, private, and away from the busy tourist activity.

"We went here in part for our was a wonderful and relaxing stay! From the lanai overlooking the beach, we saw dolphins, surfers, and snorkelers enjoying the water. We met some wonderful residents poolside, and enjoyed feeling like we were locals instead of harried tourists. The sunsets were spectacular, and at night the stars and moon were bright and sparkly. A few times, we saw bioluminescent squid in the waves breaking on the beach at night...unexpected and intriguing! We were close to hiking trails, and snorkeling was perfect from the State Park beach next to us...which was never crowded. We saw many types of fish and some turtles lazily swimming beneath us. The breeze flowed through from 3 sides of the unit, and kept us pretty comfortable. The sound of the surf was all around...sort of "white-noise". We traveled all over the island, did some hiking and exploring, and it always was nice to come "home". In nearby Waianai, there were stores to meet grocery and personal needs, and some nice restaurants too. We liked Cochitas...a Columbian/Puerto Rican restaurant recommended by residents. But we usually bought local foods to prepare ourselves. "Big-Time" shopping is available also, about 30 minutes away...and also the intersection to go to the North Shore. We got souvenirs at the "Swap Meet" at Aloha Stadium (Halewa Stadium on the signs). The unit was clean and bright, and the bed was a comfortable memory foam type. We used our Netflix and Amazon accounts on the TVs, and watched the Seahawks!! Everything we needed was supplied in the way of cookware and beach supplies (towels, chair, umbrella)...hairdryer, and a coin-op laundry. The beach was easy to access, and we felt like we had plenty of privacy as we sat on the lanai to eat, read, or star gaze. The owners were great to work with, and the staff attending the property were nice folks...and nice to visit with. Traffic is slow...but you're on vacation, so just give yourself time to go at a sea-turtle's pace. We liked hiking up to Manoa Falls (above Waikiki) and Makapu'u Point lighthouse on the northeast of the island. We also drove almost all of the cross-mauka roads and along the perimeter of the island...gorgeous!! There is a lot of history at Pearl Harbor, and many old gun placements and lookouts from the 1940s and 1950s all over. We liked the local farmers' markets...the fruit is fantastic, and the avocados are the size of softballs! Come enjoy Makaha!"

  • Absolutely Awesome, Beautiful & Amazing stay...

"I have to agree with all of the other reviews, there is not a single thing I can say negative about this property. "WOW" Just doesn't cut it... This was our 1st Hawaiian holiday and we loved it, it has blown away all of our expectations. My wife & I traveling with our 18yr son, 19yr daughter and my mother. We travelled from Australia to NYC to experience the "City that doesn't sleep". Then to Hawaii, heading straight to the North Shore to chill out and experience the real Hawaii... Choosing to stay at this beautiful little beach house was a great decision! Well maintained, clean & tidy snuggled away right on Pipeline and I mean "Right on Pipeline"... 1st impressions last and we were definitely impressed... Everything that you could need is supplied, the Beach House it's self has a perfect homely feel.We just put own bags inside and instantly felt at home! Being a Beach going & Surfing family this place was just perfect, mitres away from the waters edge. We were lucky enough to arrive with pipeline pumping at 18/22 foot and Waimea Bay, huge at around 40 foot.. What a spectacle... The Beach house is right in the middle of the action, but you wouldn't know it. It is very private and you feel like you are in your own little Hawaiian paradise. It is easy to head out sightseeing in any direction, driving, walking or our favourite going for a ride on the cool cruiser push bikes that are provided. The close by food trucks are a must, the food is amazing!!! The owners of the property ( Peter & Dianne) leave you to your own, only giving us a quick courtesy phone call to ensure we were happy and everything was to our expectations. There is a lovely neighbour that pops by every afternoon to feed the cats that also call the Beach House home. No matter what I say in this review, it honestly would not express how much of a fantastic spot this was. I would recommend the Beach House to anyone and can guarantee that we will be back as soon as possible. So I hope I haven't given too much of a glowing review!!! As I don't want to miss out next time we try and book this amazing Beach House...HAHAHA, just joking... To finish off, a Huge "Aloha" and "Mahalo" - Thank You, to Peter & Dianne for giving us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful Beach house and to experience the real Hawaii... We can't wait to be sitting on the back deck again real soon.. Mahalo, Mal & Susan Sipple Brisbane. Australia"

  • Magical Time with Family

"Cannot beat the beachfront location. What a beautiful view of the beach. However, it is right by a public access area and couple days people set up a tent right in front of the yard (we are right on the beach - yard grass, short fence, then sandy beach) but no biggie plenty of space. If you're used to luxury accommodations and pampering, this place isn't for you. No dishwasher, no auto ice maker, no a/c. It can get warm but when you open all the windows and turn on all the fans it is quite pleasant. Simple living, great bonding time with me, wife and 2 adult children 20/22. Doing the dishes together for the 1st time and drying and eating breakfast/dinners on the picnic table in the backyard with the incredible ocean view made for some memorable conversations and memories with the kids. Easy place to get to from Honolulu airport and within striking distance to any of the other spots to visit in Oahu so made for a great location for a home base. We have quite the active family so we did alot. My son spearfishes and he just walked out onto the beach into the ocean and did his thing. Pipeline and Waimea Bay up the road 10 minutes so great place to see big surf in the winter. As we were there 1st week of June 2016; water was nice and tranquil and fairly cool but easy to get used too. Owner/managers very easy to work with and gets things done for you. Nice having access to a washer and dryer. House is fully furnished and stocked. Grocery/Drug store in Haleiwa 5 minutes away so if you need anything easy to get to. A must to have a car to get around. Love the place and will be back. Mahalo & Peace, RP"
