  • Back Home in Hawaii

"First off a Big Mahalo to Elaine, Ryan & Hannah for a great stay. 20 whopping days. I was so excited being back home in Hawaii but with now a Fiancé and future in-laws on the trip to help pick a wedding venue, I needed a place and this home was beyond perfect. Views front and back amazing ocean and that mountain view. Moonlight beach strolls. I loved being on the country side of the island. Especially being down the street from Papa Ole's and Tita's Grill. My option of beach to drive or take the bus to. Wedding venues on this side of the island is so much better and we did whatever necessary to stay on this side. Hannah is always around for you to ask to switch out towel and sheets. It was a hard last day checking out. Definitely come back. We recommended family and friends to stay here for our soon to be wedding. Thank you again. Great time."

  • Wonderful Vacation Place

"Great property that fit both my and my brother's families. We were walking distance to the beach, and a short drive to local amenities. We would definitely come back here =)"

  • Absolutely Wonderful and Spacious!

"When I viewed the pictures of this rental, my thoughts were that it couldn't be that nice in reality, but it was exactly as shown. Spacious, beautiful, clean, stand alone rental with everything you could possibly need. Very reasonalbly priced. Downstairs was like a separate home, private doors to inside and outside of the home. It had a kitchen and large living space as well. Fully stocked kitchen upstairs and downstairs, washer and dryer, lots of extra blankets, bath towels, beach towels, bed sheets and even sleeping pads. Bedrooms were all very cozy and comfortable. Nice size porches with comfortable chairs. Supplied gas grill. Ceiling fans throughout the house also standing floor fans in each room. It was hot during our stay so all the fans were nice to have. The unit is located in a nice friendly neighborhood area and just 2 blocks from the beach. Easy walk to several restaurants, grocery stores and post office. Parking was great for our 2 SUV's in the driveway. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely stay there again and recommend to all our family and friends. My favorite part of the trip was waking up each morning to enjoy my cup of coffee on the east porch with beach view and graceful ocean breeze! Thanks for a great home away from home, blessings!"

  • Charming and Delightful

"Our party of four loved staying at Blue Ginger. First of all Kathy, the owner, was very helpful in addressing all my questions prior to and after our stay. She really does an outstanding job providing all you may need for your stay. We were welcomed by a lovely bowl of fruit (the apple bananas were delish!) and a basket with coffee, tea, chocolates, etc.) The house was clean and kitchen was fully stocked – even included zip lock bags, paper towels, OFF bug spray, and some seasonings. The flower arrangements were gorgeous. The décor was charming and beds comfortable. We did have an occasional gecko that crawled on the walls, and a frog seemed to be sitting at the back door waiting to be invited in, but that just added to the charm of staying in a tropical home. There were plenty of bath and beach towels. She even provided laundry soap to wash our clothes. We enjoyed the BBQ one evening (included all the nec. tools). We left the windows open the entire time to allow the trade winds to flow through the house and it was wonderful. At night we did hear the traffic on the highway, but the sound of the waves crashing was so soothing it lullabied us to sleep. In the morning we could watch the sunrise from the windows in the front living room, but every morning I walked across the street sat on a picnic bench, or a rock on the beach to watch the sunrise. There are lots of crab holes and in the morning and when the sun came up, they would run out to the ocean! The beach gear was helpful to have, especially the rolling cooler, and beach mats. We took one of the Kayaks out across the street. We went snorkeling at Turtle Bay (nice calm waters), the rip currents at Sharks Cove were strong but we got to see a dolphin jumping around, and a beached Monk Seal – she swam right passed us to get back into the ocean. We ate at Uncle Bobo’s, a tiny little BBQ place up the road that was recommended by the owner and it was so good! We also ate at the Shrimp Truck which was a 3 minute walk to Ching’s Store (but I preferred the Shrimp Scampi plate we had a Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck which was about a 20 minute drive along the Hwy). North Shore Tacos was good and open late. The home and the area was quiet, relaxing and beautiful. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to those who are not expecting that high-end resort vacation lifestyle but rather a nice quiet, relaxing tropical home away from home."
