  • Breathtakingly beautiful

"This house is an absolute gem. My favorite part about it was the view in the backyard. We let our kids stay in the bedroom while my husband and I slept on the futon in the living room...because the view and the breeze were THAT good! We would wake up to the birds singing and the sight of the misty mountain tops of Kualoa. It was unbelievable! LaRona is very sweet, prompt to answer any questions, and she is very easy to work with! She accommodated all of our needs during our week's stay and she checked on us to see if there was anything we needed! The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and glasses, etc. The fridge has lots of space. There is no air conditioning, which made me worried at first, but the wind circulated through the windows very well and we slept comfortably every night! The futon was comfortable, as were all of the other beds. There is a spacious washer and dryer. The lot is very private! There are neighbors but everyone was quiet, so we respectfully were quiet as well. There is a beach just feet from the end of the driveway! The road is a little busy so we didn't venture there with our young children much, but it was beautiful! I can't wait to vacation here again in the future. I do not have a single negative thing to say about this property or the customer service of LaRona or the location or ANYTHING! I couldn't have imagined a more amazing place to stay and I am so thankful for the owners who allowed us to share their piece of heaven. Thank you!"

  • great location, fantastic view. brilliant host.

"arrived late at night so it was great bill had left some groceries for us , much appreciated. The house has the best view over the bay and is so nice to wake up to. the location is great 40 mins max to honolulu , but no need to travel far as Kanehoe has all you need, and the beaches are by far the best we have ever seen. Bill was a great host and was always available if you needed anything. The house has all the facilities you need and lots of handy local information. We would 100% recommend the house , location fantastic with an incredible view. You will not be dissapointed. just book it. regards the Jardine family."

  • Was thankful for Every Day at this house

"My wife and I were at this house for a week in Sept. I had 3 days of conferences in Honolulu. It Was 45 min of driving to get to conv center. Because we had this house I was thankful for each drive to the city. The time there was beautiful and sunrises amazing. This house made Oahu feel like 'our' island. Sure city hotels can be beautiful but every time I was in Honolulu around thousands of people I did not feel like I was in Hawaii and so glad I could enjoy the mountain view drive from my home in Kaaawa. We said we were so glad we were there EVERY DAY. Road noise was no issue. House was clean with above average linens / towels. The lagoon was great. A couple schools of fish to chase and crabs to watch. The open water did not have the most fish for snorkeling with but still fun and comfortable as could be 100 feet from lagoon and still in 4 ft depth of water. The early morning high tide was loud but can adapt and learn how to adjust with windows when sleeping. It was an experience and something we laughed about. The house is not resort hotel pristine, it is lived in and can understand any wear as you are ON THE OCEAN. That environment can take a toll on any home (only reason a 4 and not 5) regardless the home was nice, clean, comfortable and furniture good and just like the pictures. First night we missed having AC but we adjusted and managed just fine. The surf, view, and water made up for it. Home exceeded our expectations and was fun sharing with others at the conference that we were at this amazing house and location. We had a coconut wash in to lagoon, had fun opening it and enjoying the milk and meat within. If we go to Oahu again I know where I am staying."

  • The Wedding Plantation House

"Our Daughter and her husband pick the Plantation House for their wedding site and it was spectacular. True Hiawii old school style and perfect for the occasion. Three house's plenty of room for everyone, the Lani was so nice to sit and take it all in. The pool was just the right size and very clean. We had the wedding ceremony down front and then moved it to the main out door area between the houses. The pool house Lani had plenty of room for music and dancing. The mountains in the background are very majestic. Pictures do it justice for an event to remember. But experience it for yourself!!! It was truly a blessing to have had are daughters wedding at this wonderful setting."
