  • Great location, amazing view! Spacious and comfortable.

"We stayed a week with our two young children. We can't rave enough about the beautiful secluded oasis of this home. The views are incredible, you feel completely surrounded by nature (mountains behind you, ocean in front), and we hardly saw another soul the entire time we were there. The location is ideal for small children, having the private lagoon for the kids to play in the sand was priceless. The sun would rise over the ocean each morning, and after a quick breakfast we could enjoy our coffee down by the lagoon while the children played, no packing up to go to the beach, and then outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. When the kids napped, we could relax on the deck or down at the beach (with the baby monitor we brought along). As for visiting other parts of the island, this is a great location to take a drive up to the north shore, or a drive down along the shore towards Waikiki. There were public beaches just about everywhere and Kualoa Ranch essentially across the street. Grocery shopping was a bit of a distance, but easy to stock up ahead of time. Some of the negatives people have mentioned such as critters (saw one bug in the house the first night, nothing else the entire time), highway noise (could hardly hear the road above the sound of the waves, maybe a bit of road noise from the 2nd bedroom that was on the back of the house). The house was very clean throughout except for the living room area rug that had clearly not been vacuumed before our arrival, which is a minor thing. This is a beach house, not pristine, but very comfortable and spacious. We saw staff on the property 3 times, and everyone was very friendly and respectful. A few things we could suggest would be curtains along the living room windows (the sun can be pretty hot for a sunrise breakfast!), there weren't any facecloths so maybe bring your own (but there were plenty of towels!), the beach mats were a little funky (could use replacements) and little ones definitely need supervision with the stairs to the beach. Another consideration is that you cannot walk anywhere from this property with the highway right there. The driveway is a very tight turn, so maybe get out of the vehicle and check it out first, especially if arriving at night! We loved being able to relax, stay in, and have our own private oasis with full amenities while also being a great location to use as a home base for exploring the island."

  • Fabulous house for a family!!

"The most well stocked rental I have ever rented. Everything you need to make your stay wonderful. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms is hard to find, so staying with a big family it was perfect. Everyone had their own space. The home is charming, plenty of beach towels, toys for the kids, boogie boards, paddle boards and the kayak gave us lots to do. Snorkeling was good and we saw lots of fish, but it's not a swimming beach. We walked it every morning and found treasures, but too rocky/coral for the kids to swim. 7-11 right across the street was nice to have and Laie/Kahuku just a quick drive away for lots of fun too. Some reviews commented on the parking, we didn't find it that big of a deal. The BBQ was nice to have for grilling burgers and we didn't get a chance to use the outdoor fireplace, although we wanted too. Overall a five star beach home that we'd definitely rent again. Thank you Cappa house!!"

  • Great family vacation home!

"We had such a great time in Hawaii! This home was very nice and was as advertised. It sits right on the beach but is not a great swimming beach for kids due to the rocky reef that it sits on. Great swimming beaches are not far, so that was not a huge deal. There was plenty of room for our family of 7 and it was clean. The inside does feel a little bit like a rental property but we were mostly only there at night to sleep. It is in close proximity to a ton of things to do and places to visit. The neighborhood is nice and it was nice to be in a gated community. We would definitely book this home again given the same circumstances and will recommend it to other family and friends that are looking for a great Hawaiian experience. We will miss LuiBuenos Restaurant in Haleiwa and you definitely need to get some coconut peanut butter from North Shore Goodies! Camille was easy to get hold of and resolve any issues we had at the house. Thank you Camille!"
