  • Wonderful, authentic Hawaiian vacation

"We spent a glorious week at Moani Kai which was one of the most beautiful and well maintained vacation rentals I have ever experienced. First, the beach at Malaekahana Bay is three miles of beautiful desolate sandy beach with small waves and completely protected from the fierce breaks of the north shore. The house has recently been completely remodeled with resort quality linens and very comfortable 6 bedrooms. It is located on lush 1 acre lawn with paddle tennis court, hot tub overlooking the ocean and two kitchens so the parents stayed upstairs and the kids and grandkids stayed downstairs. There is a beautiful dining pavilion reminiscent of a Tuscany outdoor dining area with string lights all over looking the ocean. There is a hidden sun tan/massage deck that is next to the ocean but allows privacy to sunbathe in complete privacy. And there is a colorful hammock that we spent hours in enjoying the sound of the breaking surf. The house is well equipped with beach equipment, lounge chairs, boogie boards, children toys who used them in the massive yard next to the ocean. There are two master bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs and both have sliding floor to ceiling glass doors overlooking the ocean. We loved the charming caretaker who arranged for private chefs and massages at no extra charge (except a generous tip which she deserved). We loved our nightly bonfires under the moonlit skies. It was a wonderful and authentic Hawaiian vacation. It is the country and not the four seasons. But Malaekahana Bay is Hawaii's best kept secret where most of the houses are owned by the old families of Honolulu for their beach homes. Can't wait to return. I can't think of a better way to experience old Hawaii away from the glitz of Waikiki and a place to enjoy the very special Hawaii we all dream about."

  • Great spot and great price

"I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend as a place to bring my whole family. I love the location of Turtle Bay as it's close enough to Sunset Beach and Laie for PCC and other sites. The unit had more than other condos we have rented, including laundry, shampoo, soap, etc. We brought our own because normally you don't have those items included. I thought that was really great. Laundry in the unit is a huge bonus. The only thing I would say was not expected was that the AC was in the main bedroom so it didn't reach the room with the bunk beds (where I slept). I go to Hawaii quite frequently (second time this year), and we lived there about 5 years ago, and this time the humidity was crazy and I didn't sleep all that well without the AC."

  • Excellent Experience!! :)

"We loved staying in the Agnew's condo at Kuilima Estates. First I REALLY appreciated how easy it was to get ahold of Amy. She was always delightful and accessible. We loved the condo. We appreciated how nice it was to return to everyday....the lovely cross breezes, the "MUST-DO" list in her letter and the use of the "Oahu Revealed" book in the desk drawer was so useful and MUCH appreciated! We loved the proximity to Turtle Bay and to all the things we wanted to do on the North Shore. Gunstock Ranch was close as was Waimea Bay, Shark's Cove (a MUST to snorkel) and Sunset Beach. Ted's Bakery was a frequent stop. ALL of it was fantastic! Thank you Agnew family for giving us a home away from home!!!!"

  • Wonderful home away from home in paradise!

"My teenage daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights and loved it! The condo is overall very comfortable, well laid out, and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable allowing for great sleep. The unit was clean and the owners were wonderful to work with along the way. It is the closest unit to the beach of the condos, which was nice. A very easy walk. Beautiful resort feel without having to pay the high price of Turtle Bay resort itself. Nice public beach suitable for swimming for all ages. The trails surrounding the area are great to walk and explore. The complex is gated so we always felt safe. Next time I come to North Shore, I will definitely come back to this unit."
