  • Awesome Beach House!

"My family and I stayed here this past weekend, we enjoyed our stay so much that my family is already wanting to plan to go back in December! People have to understand that for the price of this rental, it will have "minor" flaws. I say "minor" because if you expect a newer renovation (i.e. renovated within the past 2 years) then there is NO way the rental price for this place would be what it is. If you want a newly remodeled beach rental, I hope you expect to pay at least $800-$1000 a night. Addressing the complaints in previous reviews (which made me have some reservations on renting this rental): -there being too few blankets. My family and I treated this like a camping trip so we brought sleeping bags. However, when arriving we arrived to see the beds were topped off with blankets in each room which would be sufficient enough. During our stay, it was windy and cold but we found ourselves sleeping with our sleeping bag unzipped and not needing to be covered. -The kitchen dirty. During our stay, we found the kitchen to be up to date. The counter tops were clean and there was more than enough dishes and cooking ware for our stay. The only complaint I do have: - There were a LOT of flies but that is out of the owners control. If anything, sliding doors could be added on the other two sliding glass doors to let the breeze in from all angles of the living room and to limit the flies from coming in. Other than those minor flaws, we really did enjoy our stay. The location is AWESOME! The house was totally fine and totally reasonable for the price John charges. This rental totally met our expectations and more. The beach was nice and really appreciated the privacy in front of the house. Can't wait till our next staycation at this rental!"

  • Kuilima Estates West 169, North Shore, Oahu

"We couldn't be happier with our stay at Kuilima Estates West 169. My wife and I, and another couuple, stayed here 3 days in May of 2016. It was the perfect place to stay. The condo was clean and in great condition. It is close to the resort so there are restaurants and shops nearby and there are lots of things to do. There are many beautiful beaches nearby. I would highly recommend this condo to all my friends and if we ever return we will try to book in again."

  • Beautiful Vacation home

"We loved our stay, the house was very comfortable and had everything that we needed, the house was very clean upon arival. The lanai was especially nice because we could look out and watch the ocean waves at anytime, the view cannot be beat, the beach was something that we were not used to, but it doesn't take long to adjust to it, we picked up quite a lot of coral in our stay. It did rain about every day for a few minutes, but the rainbows can't be beat, they were absolutely gorgeous. We checked out the other beaches along the North Shore, and have to say they were beautiful as well. We did get to see the sea turtles, and one of our party got to see a see lion. The steps and beach was mostly coral, but that didn't bother us that much. If you have disabilities it would be a hard climb both down the steps and up the steps and along the beach at points, the sea wall that is built into the yard is absolutely beautiful and if gone it would take away the character of the area. The house is about an hour from Honolulu. Took lots of pictures and walks. I would stay there again if I every got another chance to visit Hawaii. Thanks again Lenae and Lori for allowing us to stay at your place. Mahalo Pat."

  • Perfect Hawaiian Family Vacation Home

"This was our second family vacation to the Pa Hauoli House. We took our children and our eleven grand-kids to Hawaii for a family vacation celebrating our retirement. Just driving up the country road to the house is such a relaxing experience and it always feels like I have arrived in a tropical paradise. A common reaction of our children upon first seeing the house is, "Is this it? Are we really going to get to stay here?" From the huge yard and large patio (where we barbecued and I think ate every meal) to the stunning ocean view from the ocean side of the house, it doesn't get any better than this. We had an adult versus kids game of capture the flag on the football field size lawn. The house is well furnished with kitchen appliances and cookware, stocked with games, towels, surf boards and much more. A favorite spot to relax was sitting beneath the shade trees at beach edge and reading or watching the grand-kids playing in the surf and watching turtles coming up for air. The only problem was it was so relaxing I would drop my book as I nodded off and lose my place. The grand-kids were occupied for hours building a "survivor" shelter on the beach from palm fronds and drift wood. Even in what is considered a busy tourist month, we had miles of beach to ourselves. The house is close to Turtle Bay Resort so my sons and I were able to play golf at the Fazio and Palmer Courses, the kids played in the tide pools at "Shark's Cove" and the older ones had a thrill jumping off the rock at Waimea Beach. A real treat for us has been getting to know Bill and Nancy and their Ohana, the caretakers of the property. They are so helpful and attentive to ensure that everything was set for our large family. The quality of their service and friendly help for anything we needed makes this place even more of a treasure."
