  • Magic!

"We had a magnificent time! This beautiful home was comfortable and relaxed...well organized and very clean. The layout was perfect! Living room and balcony on one end and the bedrooms at the other. The sounds of the ocean grace every step you take and the ceiling fans and open windows lended a cooling breeze. The kitchen was open and equipped with all a cook could need...and still part of all the activity while in the kitchen. Looking out at the ocean while pouring a hot cup of coffee in the morning was pure luxury. The house is garnished with a gorgeous grass yard that meets right up with the sandy beach, yet still has the safety comfort of being able to lock a fence at night. There are so many turtles swimming right in front of the house! The neighbors were so kind too! Some were fishing and others were hunting octopus....we saw lots of beautiful coral and shells too! When we weren't on the beach, we were in the amazing, heated pool or hot tub. If we weren't swimming, we were relaxing in the lounge chairs in the yard or upstairs off the balcony watching turtles swim in the ocean. A magical experience!!"

  • Quiet, Comfortable Cottage

"I had a great stay here. The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming, a real pleasure. The cottage is situated mid-way back on a large parcel, well away from the (small residential) road and the host's house, so there's lots of privacy, and quiet. Very spacious feel to the parcel. Bed was very comfy-- loved it (and spent quite a bit of time in it!). Internet access as currently set up (wireless extension router with long distance to the main house) was O.K., but was a little spotty, and a bit on the slow side. It got the job done, and shouldn't be an issue if doing simple, occasional tasks on-line. Great location here on the North Shore (which can get busy at times), with easy access to everything (lot's of beach options, etc.), but still offering a peaceful, off the beaten path setting. Highly recommended!"

  • Wonderful.....

"The beach house is wonderful, plenty of space for all in our party. Loved sitting out on the deck relaxing, with the ocean steps away. Toured Pearl Harbor and went to the luau at the Polynesian Center, which was a great place to visit. Bobby was a great host, anything we needed he provided right away. House has everything you need, would love to visit again and stay at the beach house. Thanks for sharing your house with us!!!"

  • Heaven on Oahu!

"It’s difficult to find the words to express how nice our stay at Konane Kai was. It was one of those vacations where everything just fell into place. To start, the condo is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable and private that we felt at home right away. Everything is first class (including designer furniture and artwork/photography by G. Brad Lewis and Kim Taylor Reece)! And the million-dollar, 180 degree view! My husband kept planning outings and all I wanted to do was to sit on the balcony – er, lanai – watching turtles galore (in the water and sunning themselves on the beach), tons (literally!) of whales, gorgeous rainbows, and record-breaking surf. (Not to mention the weekend night "squidders!" There is really no way to describe this phenomenon, so you will just have to experience it yourself!!) When we did go out, we had easy access to quaint historic Hale’iwa with its cute little restaurants, food trucks (YUM!), and shops. It reminded me of my 1960s summers on Long Beach Island, NJ. We were even lucky enough to be there during the rare “Eddie” surf competition at Waimea Bay – what a thrill! The wonderful memorials and museums of Honolulu/Waikiki Beach were just over 30 minutes away, along a beautiful route, but it was always nice at the end of the day to return “home.” Thank you so much, Mark and Jane, for sharing your place with us. It was a magical month we will never forget!"
