  • It was clean & homey. Quiet location, easy to reach areas to visit

"Clean, well stocked. Loved the town of Haleiwa & all the beaches of the area. Peaceful place literally right on the water. Made for good sleeping. Enjoyed watching parachutes coming down to near by Dillingham Airfield. We enjoyed the hike at very end of road, connecting over to west coast. Protected area of the last fragile Hawaiian sand dunes and one of 2 areas for nesting albatross."

  • Wonderful.....

"The beach house is wonderful, plenty of space for all in our party. Loved sitting out on the deck relaxing, with the ocean steps away. Toured Pearl Harbor and went to the luau at the Polynesian Center, which was a great place to visit. Bobby was a great host, anything we needed he provided right away. House has everything you need, would love to visit again and stay at the beach house. Thanks for sharing your house with us!!!"

  • quiet, peaceful far away from the hustle if the city

"My wife Kathleen and I stayed in Sept. The place is as advertised. It is clean and neat with a large lawn leading to a beach( basically your own--you do share it with turtles,a seal and the occasional neighbor) The home is a long time family place that is just that. Do not expect "modern" but rather comfy and clean. It has a gated and fenced front with private car port. It is close to the kitchen entrance which really has everything you need--if you like to cook. We cooked in ( actually B_B_Q,charcoal)every evening to enjoy the sunsets from the beach. We went to town for a trip or two to Foodland and restaurants for 3 lunches. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs ( one in the living area) and two smaller ones upstairs which we did not need. The living area is comfortable. Outdoors there is a covered dining area that can seat maybe 10 or so. The property is well maintained One of the best things is that the showers(both) have a door to the outside side you can enter from the beach or shower with a view of the ocean.( it is private and comfortable on a hot afternoon. There is no air conditioner but fans that do an OK job. The beach is beautiful but I must mention it is very, very soft so it hard to walk on for any distance. The waves are manageable small due to a reef out about 300 ft. We swam with turtles daily and had a visit one day of a large seal resting . The waters out front are pretty calm and the rocks and some fish make a snorkel good but do not expect the clear colorful reef of the c The neighborhood is only private residences. The front road is a 2 lane road and usually quiet and good for a morning walk. We met friendly people. It is about 15 min from town. Close but far enough away from the tourist crowd Stephanie who owns the place is thorough and rightly involved in her "guest" maintaining the property. She gives a thorough presentation on arrival and will want to check you out. Not a problem except on arrival you are tired from travel so your attention may waiver. Do not listen! She gives good advice. One example is that she told us where the flashlights were located. Boy that info came into importance when the lights went out in the entire neighborhood on our first night as we sat down to dinner. We ate by flashlight and went to bed some thereafter. With no fans it was hot and we were awoke at 2 AM when the lights came on . All in all the place, location and things we wanted met our expectations. Explore the road. to the West up to the port."
