  • Incredible estate and a perfect beach!

"We decided to visit Hawaii for our family reunion this summer and staying at Hale Aloha was the highlight of our trip. We were deciding between a couple different places, but we had to choose this listing after we were blown away by all of the glowing reviews. Now, I wanted to add my name to the list of ecstatic guests! After we landed, we rented cars and took the scenic drive through the cute surf town of Haleiwa. The property is super close to the town, which was really helpful when we wanted to grab supplies for our BBQs (more on that later). Then, we arrived at Hale Aloha and immediately admired the beautiful flowers all throughout the grounds. We parked our cars and walked up to the wrap-around deck to see an incredible view of the beach and tons perfect spots to relax. We each picked our rooms (which was easy because they were ALL so comfortable) and decided to get active. The adults started a tennis tournament, the kids threw around the football, and everyone else took the boogie boards to the beach. When I arrived at the beach, it was like walking into a postcard. Perfect sand and the clearest water you're ever going to see. What's more, the only people that we could see were the small dots of skydivers who we could barely see floating way above us. It was paradise. In the afternoon, we went back to the house to get a BBQ going. As I mentioned above, we popped over to the nearby grocery store and picked up everything that we needed. While we grilled, my sister started a dance party using the in-house sound system and another group decided to take a nap (yes, this place is so big that they couldn't hear a thing). In the evening, we used the dining table to have a full family dinner. One night, we had everyone pile onto the couches for a movie night on the big screen TV. Another day, we did our laundry and played games in the gazebo. Finally, my favorite part (besides the beach) was seeing thousands of stars at night. I recommend sitting outside and staring upwards on a clear night - it's truly magical. Other important details: the booking process with Greg (the owner) was really easy. He was incredibly kind and helpful when we were planning other things to do in the area (we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center one day and Kalua Ranch another day - both awesome). Fritz (the groundskeeper) answered all of our questions immediately. Hale Aloha was awesome and we're definitely booking it again next year!"

  • Everything You Need!

"This is a fantastic apartment in an amazing location! The beach is right across the street and the lanai offers a great ocean view. It's not huge, but it is nice white sand, very swimmable, and usually not very crowded. We saw turtles just about every day. The apartment itself is really nice. No A/C, but with windows open and ceiling fans on, there is a nice cross breeze that keeps things pleasant--better than A/C any day! If you're looking for real Hawaii (NOT Waikiki) that is out of the way but convenient to the North Shore, this is a fantastic choice. We were here for a month while looking for a permanent residence on the island and couldn't have been happier."

  • A little peace of heaven

"If you really want to experience living in Hawaii, this is the house for you! Away from the crowds, you will enjoy the tranquilly of the island with your own private beach. My favorite part was listening to the waves every night and drinking my coffee outside enjoying the view. The house was roomy and very well stocked. Grocery stores not too far away. If I'm ever lucky enough to come back, I will definitely stay here again!"

  • Magical stay

"We stayed here for a month with our two little boys. We had been planning this trip forever. We have stayed in Hawaii many times before, and this was by far the best. If you want a fancy house...this isn't it. It's an old house. Some peeling paint...rusty original bedroom doorknobs..old furniture....etc. but we LOVED it. Coming "home" each day was the best part. It is EXACTLY as advertised: right on the sand. Super private beach. Charming, authentic, local residential street. Very clean. We went to bed each night listening to the ocean. Tons and tons of turtles every single day. The house next door to the right was empty the whole month except for 2 days...we were told it's been owned by same family forever....so we felt like we had a VERY private backyard space and made it even quieter at night. The property manager, Robert, was always available and quick to tend to any needs. Outdoor shower, deck, beach chairs, large table to eat dinner outside, laundry room, view of ocean. 10 minutes max drive to Haleiwa, our fave town. Local Coffee shop right down the street Brew & Foam highly recommended. Great house!!!!"
