"It was a pleasure to stay at this cute and comfortable cottage! A unique experience with an amazing view, just a few steps from the ocean. You can sleep with the sound of the ocean and if you wake up early enough you can see the sunrise right of the bed. Located in a very calm neighborhood. No problems at all!!! The owner is very sweet and helpful. In just two words I can describe this place: WORTH IT! You will not be disappointed!!! Alohaaaaaaaaaaaa"

  • Mahalo for this gem!

"We just returned last week from staying at this rental, and it was everything I could have wanted. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city and Waikiki, you have what essentially is a private beach and George makes sure to have amenities included in the property to help you enjoy your stay, such as beach chairs and towels and snorkelling equipment. Even little things such as soap and paper products are there when you arrive. The place was wonderfully clean and we had no problems. The view is outstanding and I would recommend watching the sunrise every morning like we did. It is very peaceful getting to fall asleep each night to the sound of the surf. There is a reef on this area of the island that keeps the bigger waves at bay and makes it a wonderful spot for swimming, snorkelling, and even relaxing. Close to North Shore and delicious food trucks. We decided only a few days into our stay that (when!) we come to Hawaii again, we are going to stay in this exact place. Free parking and a strong internet connection are also nice amenities. We couldn't get the TV to turn on, but didn't miss it at all. Mahalo George for sharing your property with us and making my dreams of paradise come true!"

  • Wonderful property

"Loved the property. Lots of extra's and the little things matter - toiletries, towels, pillows, a washer/dryer in the unit, boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel equipment and tons of spices, condiments, etc. The area is very calm and relaxing. Nice private beach and other beaches close by. It's away from hustle and bustle so be sure that's what you want. My only regret is it's in an area with ZERO bars or restaurants that serve alcohol. Probably most going to this area already know that but I did not, and was very surprised to not even be able to have a glass of wine at dinner anywhere or any bar. You'll have to drive about 30 miles to find restaurants and bars. The A/C is works (wall unit) but most can probably get by with the sliding glass door open."

  • Wonderful place to stay in a beautiful location! Ocean on one side an mountains on other.

"We had a wonderful visit to Punalu'u and hope one day to return. The ocean view and the mountains took our breath away. Exploring the windward side of the island an the North Shore held wonders around every turn. We are from NC. Those who are familiar with the Blue Ridge Parkway will find the drive along these beaches similar with many spectacular photo ops and roadside attractions to explore. In addition to the mountains this area has the ocean and its offerings seafood and lounging on the beach. We particularly recommend the many roadside food trucks and restaurants. Visiting Waimea Valley and its beautiful falls and exploring the village of Haleiwa, a surfer town with restaurants and shops. Take the road down the center of the island to the Dole Plantation. There is much to do you will want to go back. Only 2 suggestions: The bedroom needs better ventilation and renters need to know that though there's a good coffee maker there may be no coffee. There was none when we arrived, but we were able to buy some with little effort."
