  • A condo full of Aloha!!

"We just returned from a week stay at Heidi's 2 story penthouse condo. It was amazing. There were four of us and we loved every moment of our time. My wife and I took our two youngest grandchildren (14 and 16) to the North Shore. Whether you want to roar of the ocean, or the mystery of the mountains you have found it here. An awesome location within close driving of all the must sees on the North shore. The PCC - did it, Waimea Valley - did it, Surfing at Chun's Reef - Yep, Shaved ice at Haiwea - only twice :-), Dole Plantation - bet your pineapples on it, Diamond Head - conquered it, Pearl Harbor - a must see. Our grandkids thought we were going to stay in Waikiki, but when we got to the quaintness and quiet of a two lane road we knew they would love it, and they did. Snorkeling, body boards, beach towels, Heidi had all these things in her condo for us to use. I am trying to think what I could suggest she improve upon, and I come up blank. I really think we experienced Hawaii, we experienced the North Shore, and we experienced the real Aloha in this trip. If you are a picture taker like me you are in the right place. If you want to unwind and melt away the stress of every day life you are in the right place. If you want to deal with a great person and feel confident that she wants you to have a great time you picked the right place. Just one thing about age...My wife and I are in our early 60's, we had no trouble with the stairs to the master bedroom. Plus great elevators at the facility to get you to the 8th floor, and a covered, reserved parking space! Mahalo Heidi for sharing your condo with us. We are already talking about a return in a couple years."

  • Love Pat's at Punaluu

"Thank you Betty! We had a great time and loved staying in your beautiful condo. Everything we needed was there. The condo is clean and well stocked. It was humid while we were there and Betty brought us a new, powerful fan that kept us very comfortable. She responded to questions quickly and took care of everything we needed. This is our second stay in this complex and we plan to stay again when we go to Oahu. We have 2 kids and they love ocean here. It is always quiet and the reef makes for a nice and easy swim with no waves. I would definitely stay again!!!"

  • Great stay will return if possible

"First time doing a vacation rental, so my wife and I were a little anxious. We were pleasantly surprised. We loved the stay here! We had everything we needed and nice relaxing location to unwind from the stresses of the real world. We came here for our anniversary and loved the peace and quiet. Definitely would stay here again and have already recommended it to everyone that we have talked to. The owners were always quick to respond to our attempts to communicate. We had no problems with the property and was exactly as described. Be prepared for it to rain, but it didn't dampen our experience. Loved the short walk to the beach and being able to walk along the water without tripping over tons of tourists."

  • INCREDIBLE HOST and beautiful setting

"Let me first state that I rarely write reviews and that, when reading them, I usually reject the most positive and the most negative as both unrealistic. I look for a general consensus. When I came across this property for a family vacation, I was struck by the overwhelmingly positive reviews and employing the strategy described above, came to the conclusion that this would be an excellent selection. If you're looking for a out-of-city Hawaii experience on the eastern (more tropical but can be more windy) shore, you cannot go wrong here. We loved being out of Honolulu, but still close enough to experience everything. We hit all the standards - Hanauma Bay, Makapu'u Lighthouse Tour (sunrise, amazing), Ko'Olina Beaches, Kahana Beach bodysurfing, LDS Laie Temple and Polynesian Cultural Center (a little overpriced for what you get, but recognize that price exists to fund college students from other islands attending college at BYU-Hawaii), Matsumoto Shaved Ice (4 times in one week - obsessive, I know), and had scheduled some shark dives that were canceled due to windy conditions. We also took a lesser known zipline called Climbworks near Laie. We had a large group of 7; youngest 10, oldest 72 and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. It is a little expensive as well ($160) but there are 8 dual lines overall, the longest of which is just over half a mile. The views, the guides, and the scenery was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. As great as this all was, it was the unbelievable hosting by Kaina and his family that truly made the vacation special. When Kaina learned we were arriving on Thanksgiving, he and his family made us one of the best dinners we have ever and had it waiting when we arrived! Who does that? On top of that, he was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and from kayaks to snorkeling gear to body boards, he let us borrow them all, including his own mask and fins. This guy and his family were simply amazing, so kind and helpful. He suggested several other things too that we simply did not have the time to accomplish. If you're looking for an amazing host who can recommend and help you make your vacation truly special and desire a unique location to do it from, this is it. Thank you Kaina and family!"
