  • The Quieter Side of Oahu

"This was our first time to O'ahu, and we wanted a quiet ocean front stay without paying an arm and a leg. We chose to stay at this condo for a week, and it was one of our favorite vacations ever. What makes it nice is its far enough away from Waikiki that it's not crowded and doesn't have bad traffic--two things we wanted to avoid while vacationing. It's also super close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Kualoa Ranch (awesome movie site/jungle tours), and awesome beaches. The condo itself is updated and clean, has a great view of the ocean, and was comfortable. Be aware that it doesn't have A/C, but the leaving the windows open and running the fans kept us cool. The building itself is older, but it is well maintained. Arranging the stay itself was pretty simple and painless--the owners are nice and easy to work with. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and it was very nice to come back to a clean and quiet condo every night, a condo that was out of the hustle of Honolulu."

  • Home Away from Home! Steps away from the Beach

"Both my husband and I were both born in Oahu and have visited countless times since our childhood. We've stayed with family, different hotels in Waikiki and Ko Olina a few times. We've never stayed on the North Shore so this time we thought we'd try somewhere different. After reading all the rave review's about Emmanuel's condo at Pat's at Punaluu, we decided to book. We are sure glad we did! My husband, 3 daughters (ages 10, 4 and 3) and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10 nights here. It instantly became our home away from home. The kids loved going swimming almost every morning after breakfast. They couldn't understand why we would want to go to another beach on the days we'd want to venture out to Ala Moana Beach Park and Ko Olina Lagoons. It was great to have snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and sand toys - kids loved them! While in town on our first day, we went to Costco and WalMart so we could stock up with food, snacks and supplies for our stay. We cooked breakfast almost every morning and also grilled steaks on the community BBQ grills. I think the only thing missing as far as cooking utensils would be cooking tongs and a spatula for flipping pancakes and eggs but we made it work! They even had a rice cooker which is essential for Filipinos/Asians! I ran along north shore (even on the beach at times) on mornings and utilized their gym. Their community gym is small with older equipment but if you enjoy working out - you make do with what you have - no excuses! I even did yoga on the grass, under the palm trees with the sound of the ocean waves in the background. How cool is that?! There's no AC in the unit but there are ceiling and floor fans and the tradewinds are your natural AC! The weather was great while we were there June 28-July 8th. Since we've been to Hawaii many times, we knew all the spots we'd want to visit and places we wanted to eat. Drive can be 45-60min to get to different places around the island but we didn't mind the scenic drive and planned ahead on those days. Emmanuel was prompt and precise with his email and text communications. Very easy to work with! We would definitely stay here again."

  • Perfect place for Oahu

"Stayed at Sunrise beach cottage for four nights on our trip to Oahu with my parents celebrating their 60th anniversary. This was such a cute cottage and right on top of the ocean. Had the most beautiful sunrises and the breeze was nice. No air conditioner, didn't need it, just listen to the ocean and breeze was like being in heaven. Unit is well stocked with everything you would need. Someone even left some Kona coffee for us, was great. We only ate breakfast there and the only thing we had to by was some toilet paper, It's a good system, what ever you need, buy it and leave what you don't use for the next renter. Wish we had more time there. We spent one day on the north shore, one day on the east shore and one day at the Polynesian Cultural Center which is only about 10 miles away. If you go there, they let you come back one more day free which I wish I had more time for. If you watch all the shows and do the lu'au and late show you need almost 2 days to do it all. Also about 1/2 mile south of the cottage was the best meal we had on our 2 weeks in Hawaii. Look for the shrimp trucks, the one with the Thai food was the best and the most for the money. After we ate there we ate at other trucks but only ordered one meal for two of us, was plenty. There are also many nice beaches close by if you don't want to swim in front of the cottage. The only bad thing I would say about this cottage is I wished I had it for a week. If I ever get back, I would stay in the same place. Well worth the price and my parents and wife loved it. I could live there. Mahalo to Paul andKelli Kepka for sharing this magical cottage."

  • A perfect location in a country setting

"Great condo! It was just as described. Clean, well maintained, and appointed. It is also in a great location in the country. Ocean on one side and mountains on the other. We easily traveled to all points on Oahu from here but mostly stayed on the north shore as the beaches and country setting are quiet and stunning! Heidi was a pleasure to work with. Always responsive and accommodating."
