  • Very good!

"Central on the Nth Shore where access to the fantastic winter surf is only a walk or cycle away. Bright and airy you are amongst the coastal rainforest adjacent to the beach where exercise and beach exploration are on your doorstep. Catch the bus or drive to Turtle Bay for a game of golf and get on the juice as the sun sets and listen to the music and jive up a hot tourist tryst!"

  • The View!!!!!!!!!

"The view and location of this place can NOT be beat. Tons of sleeping room, so this house can definitely cater to lots of people. The only "problem" I found, were the bunk beds not being made - so none of our kids could sleep on them! The bunk beds didn't have any sheets, and the sheets I found in the house were all marked "do not use, will be charged". It wasn't a huge issue, we had our 3 kids sleep in the bed together - which was a little crammed, but they dealt with it. My husband and I took the bed in the front room, so we could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, and wake up to the sunrise and ocean waves. The other reason for not giving 5 stars was the shower - although cool in theory, with the skylight and being open/light, it looks rather uninviting and dirty. I'm not sure if it's rusted? The beach the house is on was a little too rough for our kids to swim in (ages 5 & 8, would be ok for older kids/teens), but they enjoyed playing on the beach and getting their feet wet. The house is very close to Sharks Cove, Three Tables and Waimea Bay, where we spent some of our days. Meleana did call us the day we checked in (as I couldn't get the TV to turn on, and it was the start of the Olympics!) and she was very helpful and asked if we needed anything, or needed help booking anything. For the location, I would book this place again. Close to cool beaches, and good eating spots."

  • You will not get better than this!

"My wife and i celebrated our thirty third wedding anniversary by making first ever trip to Oahu from our home in NZ We stayed for a week on the North Shore at the Hula House and were blown away by the beauty and peacefulness that is so definitive of this spot. We were rocked to sleep with the sound of the surf and gentle winds through the windows left open (no bugs or mosqitoes!) The Hosts were superb. So friendly and accommodating with very prompt communication and helpful in getting us through the preliminary arrangements. We were looked after as if we were royalty. I was super blessed to get a really great week of surf at Sunset Point and the host (great surfer and very humble guy) even helped me with local knowledge on the break and heaps of hints in negotiating one of the worlds most awesome surf breaks . We loved riding the bikes every day, swimming at all the sheltered spots close by, drinking Kona coffee (yummmm!) and having the most relaxed and soul restoring holiday ever! We would love to come back next year and bring our whole family."

  • Wonderful and relaxing location

"As a group of six, this was the perfect size property and location to the beach. The property was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. It was great to have the barbecue so we could could cook at home or venture out to the many food trucks or into Haleiwa township for dinner. Great beach access, crystal clear water and safe to swim during the August months. A great time for all."
