  • Great location, great house

"We had a wonderful time staying here - amazing views, easy access to snorkelling, beach, grocery store, food trucks. It's a perfect beach house - relaxed and not 'precious', we didn't spend our time worrying about damage from a bit of sand & damp feet from the beach. Steve was super helpful when we needed anything (eg replaced the non-working coffee pot immediately after I emailed him). Loads of beach & snorkelling gear to use - reef shoes (vital), beach towels, body boards. We were a family group of 9 adults (grandparents, parent & adult kids) and we all loved the deck, the views & being able to walk easily to local facilities. We also enjoyed the easy access (even with the heavy weekend traffic) to Waimea valley, Hale'Iwa, turtle beach & north shore area (we had hire cars). Young adults (staying downstairs) used their aircon. Upstairs the living area & bedrooms caught the breeze & generally the ceiling fans were enough to keep the place at a comfortable temp (although elderly grandparents were happy to have aircon in their bedroom). Only thing that might be an issue for some people - the stairs (even to the downstairs studio). None of us found them a problem but some might."

  • Amazing vacation on the north shore made even more memorable at the Billabong House!

"We had an amazing experience with Billabong starting from our initial booking almost a year ago to our departure from their beautiful home at the completion of our vacation. If you want a peaceful vacation retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki then this house is for you! I can't say enough good things about our stay and would highly recommend this house to everyone. Location: The location itself is right in the heart of the north shore. 10 minutes down to Haleiwa for shopping, restaurants, surfboard and SUP rentals, and of course shave ice! 5 minutes to Sharks Cove, Foodland (grocery store) and Waimea Bay. Ted's Bakery is about a mile away where you can indulge in some amazing pastries, pie and fantastic breakfast and lunch plates. A little farther up the coast is Turtle Bay, the famous north shore shrimp trucks and the Polynesian Cultural Center. There are also two farmers markets close by: Waimea Bay on Thursday afternoon and at Sunset Elementary on Saturday morning. If you love fresh seafood, call North Shore Fish Express in Haleiwa and ask what their daily catch is. They will deliver right to the house! Property: The house was exactly as advertised on VRBO. The view belongs in a tourism magazine and you can't beat the 30 second walk down to the beach. It had every amenity that we needed to make our group of 13 feel like we were at home. The kitchens were well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. There were plenty of staples (paper towl, toilet paper, laundry detergent, trash bags, etc) to get us through our 8 day stay. There were more than enough beach towels to get us through our daily trips down to the beach. The ping pong table was enjoyed by the kids, along with the beach toys and body boards. The house was clean and neat when we arrived and all the appliances and utilities were in great condition. We felt very secure with our small children on the property. Locked gates to get in and out of the property were excellent. Customer service: The booking process was easy and Charlotte was very helpful when it came to answering questions about the house before we arrived in HI. The local property manager, Keiko, did an excellent job from start to finish. She was very sweet and helpful any time we contacted her. We left a few items at the house when we departed and she called as soon as they were found and promptly mailed them to us."

  • Awesome stay in a great beach front home.

"We stayed for one week in unit B2. The house was very clean, well taken care of, and up to date. Very nice for our family of 5. We really enjoyed the overlook and were able to watch whales almost every day at sunset. Very nice area, quiet, and friendly. we hope to stay here on our next visit."

  • Spectacular Views

"We had such a wonderful time! The house was spacious and comfortable for me and my family. The views from the beach were absolutely breath taking and the beach provided us with lots of fun in the sun during the day. We loved the location as well, it was a quick trip by car to the town of Haleiwa. I would recommend this spot to anyone with a family. You just cant go wrong here!"
