  • Peaceful and well appointed

"Plumeria House on Tropical Waters was a great house and we had a wonderful time. It was well-appointed, with a luxurious master bedroom and a super-comfy king size bed. Love the open layout of the kitchen/dining/living-room area, as cooking and conversation complimented our Christmas so well. Cindy and Paul were gracious hosts, and I appreciate their every effort for making us feel that we were well taken care of. The location is perfectly situated between Sunset Beach and Haleiwa —— and a stone's throw from Foodland and awesome food trucks. Beach access was very easy, and we took full advantage of it! Note for those interested in booking: At the time I booked, I was confused by the pictures on HomeAway and thought that I was booking a house with a direct ocean view. Plumeria house is one of 3 houses on the Tropical Waters property but isn't directly on the shore as with the other 2 houses -- nonetheless we had a great Christmas stay in Pupukea at the private and peaceful Plumeria house!"

  • Amazing

"Incredible property on the beach. You need a vehicle but the property was great. Howard was friendly and easy to deal with. Literally out the gate and hello rocky point. The waves were huge while we were there but all the neighbors were friendly and helpful in pointing us in the right directions. Where to swim, how to boogie board and even a little history. Beach was quiet. Even to go watch the surfers was enjoyable and relaxing. A short drive to turtle beach, turtle bay, Waimea bay and Halewai. You won't be disappointed with this property."

  • Great location

"A well appointed house which made for a relaxing family holiday. The interior of the house is very attractive and well cared for. We had more than enough room for 4 adults. The kitchen is well-equipped as are the bathrooms with more than enough towels provided for the bathroom as well as beach use. It is lovely to sit in the garden and enjoy breakfast. Velzyland Beach is about a two minute walk. Brian is a great host who does all he can to make your stay enjoyable. If you want to stay on the Nth Shore this is a great location for day trips and just lazing at the beach. Some traffic noise can be heard from the Kamehameha Highway."

"Our experience started with our reserving this home. The owners are amazing to work with; we were immediately cared for with every question. We had no idea how beautiful this home was. When we pulled up our family was thrilled! We are a family of 8 and were happy to see that there was so much room for all of us. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was amazing (well stocked), all the appliances were brand new, and they provide even down to the small details of the ice chests and chairs for the beach. Our 2 favorite parts were the incredible lanai where we would go to first thing in the morning to lay on the lounge chairs to drink our coffee and sit at the large table out there for our meals that we ate at home. The other favorite was the "yard"! It is so beautiful and lush! Most of us continued to walk around and view the plants and views. (Oh! I want to go back!) Also, we walked almost every morning or night to the famous Ted's Bakery. It is a very short walk and one of the highlights of the trip. Things we did that were were: kayaking (Kahana River & Bay), hiking to a waterfall (Maunawili), snorkeling at Shark's Cove, shops at Haleiwa (get shaved ice or acai bowl), Dole Plantation, Green World Coffee, and LOTS of fantastic beach time. The shrimp trucks are to die for! So...if you want a trip that is this side of heaven and an incredible place to stay...this is your place!!!"
