  • Hawaii Heaven is truly Paradise

"We stayed for a week with 4 adults and 4 kiddos and had the time of our lives. This house was beautiful and steps away for the roaring waves on the beach. If you are wanting to get away from the "tourist trap" of Honolulu...the best thing to do is rent a home and this is the one that should be on your list. The beach was gorgeous; however, a couple of days the waves were way to strong to get in, but no worries there is Waimea Beach 5 minutes down the road that is perfect for the kiddos and to snorkel. Not to mention if you want to get great local food hit the food trucks, Teddy's, or the village near by (Haleiwa). In addition, one of the families took advantage of the beautiful sunsets and had professional family pictures taken one night! The Master Suite is to die for...with the wonderful views to the ocean and the the breeze flowing through. Downstairs we had the patio doors open all day and night to enjoy the island air. Throughout the property there was numerous amenities we enjoyed from ping pong, pool toys, DVDs, games and our friendly little geckos visited us daily. If you are planning to stay in Ohau this place is a must! Thanks so much Dan - we had an awesome time!"

  • Another fantastic stay at Lohi Kai

"This was our third stay in Alice's beautiful beach house & it was perfect as usual! The upgrade is wonderful, we loved the new wooden floor downstairs & were happy to see the familiar comfortable furniture upstairs, complete with beautiful new coverings. I think the new windows in the bedrooms are great & love that you can still hear the ocean, just not as loud as before. There is nothing better than having your morning cup of tea out on the deck watching the ocean & the occasional beach walker. I was surprised one morning to see a stand- up paddle boarder catch a wave in to shore with a freshly caught fish between his teeth! How good is that?!!! We reluctantly packed our bags to come home, filled with fond memories of our time here once again,we can't wait to come back. Thank you Alice for providing us with the perfect place to spend our holidays."

  • Loved every minute of our stay.

"This was our first trip to Hawaii and we could not have asked for better. Shark's Cove Hideaway was fantastic. Conveniently located, easily accessed, amazing views! The property was wonderfully comfortable for 3 of us to enjoy and we loved that it was right across the street from the beach, walking, trail, and Shark's Cove. Foodland market was just a short walk away. We loved being able to enjoy the food trucks nightly! I would highly recommend staying a Shark's Cove Hideaway and l look forward to an opportunity to return! Thank you!"

  • Very good location

"We just returned from spending a week in the Ginger House. The location was great. Easy to get to the market some food trucks. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor Memorial and Dole Pineapple as well as the beach and golf activities. We were quite close to everything except for the Pearl Harbor Memorial. We went on a Saturday morning so the traffic would not be with the commuters. The Ginger House has a nice layout but there were a few maintenance problems that needed to be corrected. The management has been contacted and I am assuming these items will be taken care of. A real plus for this house is the provision of bikes, snorkel equipment and beach footwear. Very much appreciated. We also loved the room air only had rooms that we were using turned on. Also, the ceiling fans helped a great deal. The deck outside was great with a beautiful view of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped - just needed salt & pepper shakers!! The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We were a family of 5 (4 adults & 1 child) and the space was just right for us. I would suggest you arrive at this house during the it could be very difficult to find in the dark. I certainly would recommend this home for your vacation."
