  • Very good!

"Central on the Nth Shore where access to the fantastic winter surf is only a walk or cycle away. Bright and airy you are amongst the coastal rainforest adjacent to the beach where exercise and beach exploration are on your doorstep. Catch the bus or drive to Turtle Bay for a game of golf and get on the juice as the sun sets and listen to the music and jive up a hot tourist tryst!"

  • Very good location

"We just returned from spending a week in the Ginger House. The location was great. Easy to get to the market some food trucks. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor Memorial and Dole Pineapple as well as the beach and golf activities. We were quite close to everything except for the Pearl Harbor Memorial. We went on a Saturday morning so the traffic would not be with the commuters. The Ginger House has a nice layout but there were a few maintenance problems that needed to be corrected. The management has been contacted and I am assuming these items will be taken care of. A real plus for this house is the provision of bikes, snorkel equipment and beach footwear. Very much appreciated. We also loved the room air conditioning........so only had rooms that we were using turned on. Also, the ceiling fans helped a great deal. The deck outside was great with a beautiful view of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped - just needed salt & pepper shakers!! The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We were a family of 5 (4 adults & 1 child) and the space was just right for us. I would suggest you arrive at this house during the day.....as it could be very difficult to find in the dark. I certainly would recommend this home for your vacation."

  • Beautiful Home - Basket of Heaven

"The house is so phenomenal. It is even prettier in person. It is roomy and cozy all at the same time. The layout is perfect. 4800 SF of lusciousness! I love that each bedroom has it's own bathroom and lanai. It was more than enough room for all 8 of us whether we wanted to hang out together or have some quiet time. We had breakfast and dinner together most every day. We loved having breakfast out on the wrap around porch. The property itself is so amazing because it has coconuts, limes, avocados, bananas, and papayas. Plus the landscaping is so well taken care of that we enjoyed just hanging out in the yard. There were beautiful birds, funny chickens, and happy roosters. The pool is wonderful and refreshing. It is the perfect setting because it is close to everything but set back enough to enjoy nature. The ocean is right across the street. You can walk to the beaches. If you go out from the house to the right.....you can stroll along the beautiful beaches and enjoy the scenery. Just keep your eyes on the ocean. The water can come in quick. For swimming, you can also go to the beaches to the left. You can walk or drive to Shark's Cove. It's right across from the food trucks next to FoodLand. The water felt wonderful, the views are magnificent, and the sun felt so warm. We got to see some amazing surfing. So cool! We went Whale Watching, Hang gliding (Mr. Bill's), watched the perfect sunset at Turtle Bay Resort Club, and had an unforgettable experience at the Polynesian Cultural Center. There are so many great places to eat but most days we cooked in the ginormous gourmet kitchen. We also did a lot of shopping. There are tons of great places to walk through. Many unique items in Waliema and a lot of little shops near the Polynesian Cultural Center. Michael is the perfect host. He made sure that we got into the house and gave us great tips on where to eat. We had a question about the wi-fi and he answered us immediately. The property was so relaxing that we felt like we were home. We will never ever forget our vacation there and we plan to come back in another year. If we could rate it higher than 5 stars we would."

  • Perfect location

"I have been to every island and Oahu a dozen times, I never stay in hotels and have always had good luck with rentals. This is the best yet, I can't imagine staying anywhere else from here on. The bikes and snorkel gear were a plus and used daily. This is a very quiet setting and only food trucks for night life, this is Hawaii at its best. Foodland is a short walk away and a very good market. I will most certainly return. I went Hang gliding and paddle boarding, I recommend both and I'm 69."
