  • Waialua Honu Hale Beachfront Home...PERFECT!

"You can't get much closer to the beach than this lovely home. We found ourselves drawn to the lawn furniture in the yard and sat for hours everyday mesmerized by the ocean view. We loved being able to cook our own meals if we wanted in the well stocked kitchen. It was nice to arrive and find an assortment of staples in the cupboard and a grocery store in close proximity. Great restaurant's nearby when we didn't want to cook. This was our first time renting a home instead of staying at a resort...the way to go!!! The process was easy, working with the home owner was delightful. The housekeeper who greeted us on arrival felt like a new friend upon our departure. There were 4 of us, except over the first weekend when my daughter's BF arrived. The house is spacious, decorated in beach theme, beautiful view from the front windows, outdoor showers, comfortable beds and pretty much looks just like the pictures you can view on the listing. We thought we really lucked out on the first time VRBO experience. We loved the North Shore and the beautiful beaches, cute little towns...we made one trip into the Honolulu hustle and bustle midweek, and couldn't wait to get back to our private sweet retreat. On average you will see maybe 5 and less than 10 beachcombers walk by all day! We absolutely enjoyed every minute of this vacation and this house. We shared rental info with several interested friends who kept up with us on Facebook during our trip...selfishly this means more people to share booking times with...lol!"

  • Wedding Stay-cation

"My wife and I just stayed at the Lost ranch the week prior to our wedding that was held at Dillingham Ranch. The home and property are amazing and gave us close access to our wedding venue. The remoteness and quiet were amazing while having all the amenities we could ever need. The views during the day are great and even better at night. All of the rooms are comfortable and our family who came from off island to stay with us loved the home and grounds. There is plenty of fruit trees and nature to take in while at the Lost Ranch that you won't want to leave. Craig was also a pleasure to work with and always responsive to inquiries. This is an amazing home to enjoy the North Shore for a long weekend or full vacation. You'll need a vehicle with plenty of clearance since part of the road back to the ranch can be rough but it's worth it."

  • Heaven on Oahu!

"It’s difficult to find the words to express how nice our stay at Konane Kai was. It was one of those vacations where everything just fell into place. To start, the condo is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable and private that we felt at home right away. Everything is first class (including designer furniture and artwork/photography by G. Brad Lewis and Kim Taylor Reece)! And the million-dollar, 180 degree view! My husband kept planning outings and all I wanted to do was to sit on the balcony – er, lanai – watching turtles galore (in the water and sunning themselves on the beach), tons (literally!) of whales, gorgeous rainbows, and record-breaking surf. (Not to mention the weekend night "squidders!" There is really no way to describe this phenomenon, so you will just have to experience it yourself!!) When we did go out, we had easy access to quaint historic Hale’iwa with its cute little restaurants, food trucks (YUM!), and shops. It reminded me of my 1960s summers on Long Beach Island, NJ. We were even lucky enough to be there during the rare “Eddie” surf competition at Waimea Bay – what a thrill! The wonderful memorials and museums of Honolulu/Waikiki Beach were just over 30 minutes away, along a beautiful route, but it was always nice at the end of the day to return “home.” Thank you so much, Mark and Jane, for sharing your place with us. It was a magical month we will never forget!"
