  • Wonderful North Shore Condo

"Exactly as described, a wonderfully maintained condo with everything you need for your stay. Mark, the owner, was great to work with. It is just steps from the beach and it is a short drive or take the bike path to Haleiwa. The North Shore beaches are within easy driving distance. The condo grounds are well maintained. Quiet, friendly atmosphere with good neighbors. I had a wonderful stay but next time I might bring my fishing gear as the locals were telling me about the great fishing from the beach."

  • Stay here for a vacation of a lifetime

"We stayed at Hale Aloha for a week and absolutely loved our time on the property. We were looking to get away from the traditional tourist spots in Waikiki and we didn't want to stay in a huge hotel. We wanted a vacation that was unique -- where we could really soak up the peacefulness and beauty of Hawaii AND also have the comfort of luxury home. When we found Hale Aloha, we got both. I can't recommend it more. The wrap around deck has beautiful views of the beach and it was big enough that we could all hang out together, BBQ, and chill with our family. The property is perfectly landscaped and you can tell how much time and care is put into keeping it up. We got to enjoy kayaks and boogie boards, we used the tennis court every day, and we even played soccer on the big field. Definitely a perfect location for an active group that doesn't want to be cooped up in the house. I also can't say enough about the private beach. It's unreal. It's just steps away from the house, and in the 10+ times we visited the beach, we rarely saw another person there. The best part is that it's a safe beach for kids and you can take beautiful walks up and down the coastline. Greg, the property owner, told us that the TV show LOST was filmed there. He was right: it looks exactly like the TV show. The house is comfortable and beautifully set up with all the amenities that we needed. We were able to cook big meals, do laundry, hook up music throughout the house, watch TV, etc. We thought the privacy of the different suites was a HUGE plus. With a big family, we were each able to have our own little nook for some peace and quiet. For anyone traveling with a family... you'll know, this is important! Lastly... working with Greg was an absolute pleasure. He was so accommodating to all our requests and needs. He gave us great recommendations of things to do on the island. The entire rental process was easy and we felt taken care of the entire time. We had such a wonderful vacation. I can't wait to go back!"

  • Awesome first time rental!!

"This was the first time for us to take our kids to Hawaii. (We've only been one other time.) We were so excited to share all the wonderful things about Hawaii that we fell in love with during our first visit. I spent hours searching through rental homes in different areas hoping that we would find the perfect home for us. As it turns out, we did! We drove up to the house and received a warm "Aloha" welcome, and as we settled our party of 7 in, it felt like we had come home. The first day there my kids were in the water, enjoying the evening with a couple of turtles that decided to chill by our part of the beach. Every day there were turtles that stopped by! The last evening we were able to do some body surfing, there was a huge turtle that stayed to play in the waves with us. I've never seen a turtle riding the waves before, except in "Finding Nemo" but somehow I don't think that counts. ;) I wish we could have caught that on camera! We had plenty of activities planned for our week and were worried about the drive time to get to them. It wasn't too bad. We could get to anywhere on the island in a reasonable amount of time. Our favorite was the Polynesian Cultural Center, which was only a short drive away. We also enjoyed shopping in old, downtown Hale'iwa and meeting some of the locals. Everyone was super friendly and fun to talk with! I would highly recommend the Honu Hale for anyone looking for a more peaceful and quiet experience, but still right on the beach! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!"

  • Location! Location! Location!

"This was our third trip to the North Shore and by far our favorite home to stay in. Jamie was both accommodating and made us feel assured that everything for our stay was taken care of. Waialua Retreat is a treasure. The perfect location to explore and relax. It's far enough from the crowds to have your own private family vacation but close enough to activities, great food and entertainment. The house is beautiful and when you walk out the back door your a handful of steps from the beach! We made good use of the kayaks, jacuzzi and beach supplies. There's everything a family needs to enjoy Oahu. Can't wait for our next stay."
