  • Magical stay

"We stayed here for a month with our two little boys. We had been planning this trip forever. We have stayed in Hawaii many times before, and this was by far the best. If you want a fancy house...this isn't it. It's an old house. Some peeling paint...rusty original bedroom doorknobs..old furniture....etc. but we LOVED it. Coming "home" each day was the best part. It is EXACTLY as advertised: right on the sand. Super private beach. Charming, authentic, local residential street. Very clean. We went to bed each night listening to the ocean. Tons and tons of turtles every single day. The house next door to the right was empty the whole month except for 2 days...we were told it's been owned by same family we felt like we had a VERY private backyard space and made it even quieter at night. The property manager, Robert, was always available and quick to tend to any needs. Outdoor shower, deck, beach chairs, large table to eat dinner outside, laundry room, view of ocean. 10 minutes max drive to Haleiwa, our fave town. Local Coffee shop right down the street Brew & Foam highly recommended. Great house!!!!"

  • Stay here for a vacation of a lifetime

"We stayed at Hale Aloha for a week and absolutely loved our time on the property. We were looking to get away from the traditional tourist spots in Waikiki and we didn't want to stay in a huge hotel. We wanted a vacation that was unique -- where we could really soak up the peacefulness and beauty of Hawaii AND also have the comfort of luxury home. When we found Hale Aloha, we got both. I can't recommend it more. The wrap around deck has beautiful views of the beach and it was big enough that we could all hang out together, BBQ, and chill with our family. The property is perfectly landscaped and you can tell how much time and care is put into keeping it up. We got to enjoy kayaks and boogie boards, we used the tennis court every day, and we even played soccer on the big field. Definitely a perfect location for an active group that doesn't want to be cooped up in the house. I also can't say enough about the private beach. It's unreal. It's just steps away from the house, and in the 10+ times we visited the beach, we rarely saw another person there. The best part is that it's a safe beach for kids and you can take beautiful walks up and down the coastline. Greg, the property owner, told us that the TV show LOST was filmed there. He was right: it looks exactly like the TV show. The house is comfortable and beautifully set up with all the amenities that we needed. We were able to cook big meals, do laundry, hook up music throughout the house, watch TV, etc. We thought the privacy of the different suites was a HUGE plus. With a big family, we were each able to have our own little nook for some peace and quiet. For anyone traveling with a family... you'll know, this is important! Lastly... working with Greg was an absolute pleasure. He was so accommodating to all our requests and needs. He gave us great recommendations of things to do on the island. The entire rental process was easy and we felt taken care of the entire time. We had such a wonderful vacation. I can't wait to go back!"

  • Heaven on Oahu!

"It’s difficult to find the words to express how nice our stay at Konane Kai was. It was one of those vacations where everything just fell into place. To start, the condo is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable and private that we felt at home right away. Everything is first class (including designer furniture and artwork/photography by G. Brad Lewis and Kim Taylor Reece)! And the million-dollar, 180 degree view! My husband kept planning outings and all I wanted to do was to sit on the balcony – er, lanai – watching turtles galore (in the water and sunning themselves on the beach), tons (literally!) of whales, gorgeous rainbows, and record-breaking surf. (Not to mention the weekend night "squidders!" There is really no way to describe this phenomenon, so you will just have to experience it yourself!!) When we did go out, we had easy access to quaint historic Hale’iwa with its cute little restaurants, food trucks (YUM!), and shops. It reminded me of my 1960s summers on Long Beach Island, NJ. We were even lucky enough to be there during the rare “Eddie” surf competition at Waimea Bay – what a thrill! The wonderful memorials and museums of Honolulu/Waikiki Beach were just over 30 minutes away, along a beautiful route, but it was always nice at the end of the day to return “home.” Thank you so much, Mark and Jane, for sharing your place with us. It was a magical month we will never forget!"

  • Staycation

"We stay at this lovely home every June. There is nothing we needed that the home didn't have. The views are amazing and the lanai is the best place to enjoy your evening cocktail after a long fun day at the beach or ranch. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!"
