  • Beautiful house in a great location

"We have stayed in many Hawaiian rental properties, but this was one of the best. The homeowners have gone above and beyond to make sure the house is exceptionally clean and well appointed; there were many thoughtful touches. The house is perfectly nestled between 2 other homes and sits back from the busy main road. Though it shares a gravel alley, it has its own driveway that can hold two cars. Despite being near 2 other homes, it is a private tropical oasis. We never saw any of the neighbors for the 10 days we were there. The wrap around porch was by far my favorite spot: the perfect place to sip coffee in the mornings, listening to the birds come to life as the sun rose. Inside, the house is comfortable and well planned. There is one bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed. Despite not having a/c, it was very cool and comfortable. Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms, both air conditioned. The master suite is huge, with a queen sized bed and sitting area. The closet was big enough to serve as a little "bedroom" for our toddler, and could fit a pack n play and fan. The bathroom has a wet room, with a separate stand up shower and tub. Perfect for families with little kids. We could get the whole family clean in one room! The other bedroom has two full sized beds, an on-suite bathroom and a view of the ocean from the beds. The closet is stocked with toys. This house clearly belongs to a family that love their little ones. We didn't have to rent any equipment. There are 2 pack n plays, a booster seat, books and games. In the back yard, there's a little shed that has snorkel equipment, bikes, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, water shoes--you name it! All the equipment was organized, clean and disinfected; supplies were also handy for us to return them in the same condition. The kids enjoyed playing soccer in the backyard, chasing geckos and watching the chicken families (we were greeted by 2 mother hens with baby chickens). And, for those that are concerned about island roosters: their crowing did not bother our sleep as the a/c sound drowned them out. There are several beaches nearby, a couple within walking distance, though walking with small kids is not advisable since the road is busy and has no sidewalk. Depending on the tides, the beaches were calm enough for our 2- and 6 year old. We were at a beach every day. Cons: the 4th "BR" is the den. Go to Guadalajara Grill. Mahalo to Robert for being such a kind "Aloha ambassador"!"

  • Love Pat's at Punaluu

"Thank you Betty! We had a great time and loved staying in your beautiful condo. Everything we needed was there. The condo is clean and well stocked. It was humid while we were there and Betty brought us a new, powerful fan that kept us very comfortable. She responded to questions quickly and took care of everything we needed. This is our second stay in this complex and we plan to stay again when we go to Oahu. We have 2 kids and they love ocean here. It is always quiet and the reef makes for a nice and easy swim with no waves. I would definitely stay again!!!"

  • Peaceful Beachfront Location

"If you are looking for a more private beach location, this is the place! Wander out to the beach in your pajamas and a cup of your morning brew to enjoy your beach. The only other people you will see are some surfers who like to get their rides in before their work day begins. The hosts Leland and Wendy were most responsive and you may very well see Leland out for his morning surfing session..."

  • What a Little Gem

"Absolutely loved our stay at this property, a quaint beach house totally our style, nicely renovated. The locals that lived around this house were very friendly and helpful.Position wise was perfect for surfing, right amongst some great breaks.I would only suggest to keep the trees pruned to a level as not to obstruct your ocean/surf views whilst sitting on the verandah enjoying breakfast, lunch or sunset drinks. Would definitely love to come back and stay here again one day. Very HAPPY Aussies."
