  • Hard to beat this!

"This is exactly the house and location that we were looking for. Sunsets every night! Comfy house with everything we needed. Snorkeling right up the road. The grocery store is only a few blocks away and the food truck court is great! We did not want to leave paradise!"

  • Aussie Family of Five

"Sharks Cove getaway house was just perfect for us. Family of 5 with a 14year old girl and 2 12 year old boys. Massive main bedroom with comfy king bed and air conditioning made sleeping easy. Was in a perfect location close to food vans and foodland and across from snorkeling beach. Easy bike access across the road to hit all the famous beaches and ride up to get our morning Acai bowl from the van opposite Pipeline. Bit of traffic noise and rooster noise but adds to the experience. The house itself was very clean and easy to find things. The bbq didn't work but that's because both gas bottles were empty. There were bikes but the ones allocated to the front unit weren't able to be used. I got one working ok but the chain kept falling off. Don't rely on bikes as part of the package. Be great if they did work though. One bike didn't have a tube in it, and there were no tools to change the flat tyre or to tighten up the handlebars on one of the other bikes. I think having good working bikes would be an asset as we didn't drive anywhere and loved riding but the cost of renting that many bikes for the week works out expensive. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed as was the laundry which made it easy to have clean dry towels daily. The air mattress was great and easy to use. Loved sitting out on the lani each night. Thanks for the best holiday. We will defiantly be back and recommend your home to our many aussie friends who visit."

  • Family trip

"Lost ranch is a wonderful home for families of any age to stay. The view is amazing and the spacious property and home allowed space for all. Discovering all the fruit trees was a delight! Stickball on the lawn and lounging in the pool were just a few of the activities we enjoyed with a BBQ each night. Craig is friendly and responsive to all needs. The cows/pigs/peacocks were the highlight for the kids. It is located out of town which was what we wanted but nice to know ahead of arrival."

  • Awesome Beach House!

"My family and I stayed here this past weekend, we enjoyed our stay so much that my family is already wanting to plan to go back in December! People have to understand that for the price of this rental, it will have "minor" flaws. I say "minor" because if you expect a newer renovation (i.e. renovated within the past 2 years) then there is NO way the rental price for this place would be what it is. If you want a newly remodeled beach rental, I hope you expect to pay at least $800-$1000 a night. Addressing the complaints in previous reviews (which made me have some reservations on renting this rental): -there being too few blankets. My family and I treated this like a camping trip so we brought sleeping bags. However, when arriving we arrived to see the beds were topped off with blankets in each room which would be sufficient enough. During our stay, it was windy and cold but we found ourselves sleeping with our sleeping bag unzipped and not needing to be covered. -The kitchen dirty. During our stay, we found the kitchen to be up to date. The counter tops were clean and there was more than enough dishes and cooking ware for our stay. The only complaint I do have: - There were a LOT of flies but that is out of the owners control. If anything, sliding doors could be added on the other two sliding glass doors to let the breeze in from all angles of the living room and to limit the flies from coming in. Other than those minor flaws, we really did enjoy our stay. The location is AWESOME! The house was totally fine and totally reasonable for the price John charges. This rental totally met our expectations and more. The beach was nice and really appreciated the privacy in front of the house. Can't wait till our next staycation at this rental!"
