  • Wonderful beach cottage

"My family and I just returned from a week on the North Shore at this wonderful property. And we were so sad to say goodbye. The house was lovely and the North Shore is a very special spot. Tamar was wonderful to work with, and she has gone out of her way to make her home feel like your home. The house was newly renovated, and it is really beautiful. The beds are very comfortable with beautiful linens, the kitchen has everything you could need, and my kids ( 5 and 3) loved the outdoor playground. So great to have beach toys, bikes, and towels ready to go. All you really need are groceries! The walk to the beach is 2 minutes, tops. We went everyday, multiple times. And always for the sunset. Close to the grocery store (maybe 6 minutes), yummy food trucks, and some of the most beautiful beaches. And the good news - you are far from the business of Waikiki. We will definitely be back! Mahalo Tamar, for everything. Can't wait for our next trip out!"

  • Fantastic oceanfront cottage early September stay 2016

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I could not have been more pleased with this little gem in North Shore. Team RE was flexible with our arrival and departure dates and were very concise with after hour key arrangements and communication. I noted that there was no AC when considering this property and the weather was very hot while we were there. There are great Windows ceiling fans and the trade winds that cooled the home quickly when we returned from a day of excursions. Though we remained on Oahu for a few more days, we were sad to leave this quaint bungalow when we departed. We loved it and wished we stayed here longer. I have already recommended this to others."

  • Mahalo Nui Loa (Thank you very much)

"Being a Kamaaina (one who has lived on the islands for some time) now living in Huntington Beach, California, I was very particular on the location of the rental property we chose to celebrate my son's 21st birthday surf trip in VLand. The house was spacious, clean and perfect in it's location, decorated with island and surf influence. It had more amenities than listed or one can imagine Nikki the property management was warm and friendly in helping us settle in. We could not have asked for a better place to spend an entire week with the Ohana (family). The neighbors greeted us with Aloha and made us feel at home. We plan to return next year for another stay in paradise, if Britt will have us! Aloha nui, The Richardson Ohana"

  • Wonderful location and gorgeous condo, a bit noisy

"LOCATION: perfect. Right on a beach great for snorkeling/swimming and turtle watching, with easy access to surfing spots throughout Haleiwa. Far enough from town to feel remote, not touristy, with beautiful surrounding parks and adjacent beaches. Didn't perceive any safety issues. CONDO: gorgeous. Impeccably clean (and I'm fussy!) with high end decor and great kitchen stuff. We cooked every meal in the condo. Soft sheets and plenty of fluffy towels. They were so kind to leave snorkel masks (clean!), beach chairs and dedicated beach towels. SMALL CRITICISMS: the bedroom adjoins the parking lot and has no ocean view, so we made up the comfortable futon in the living room. It was great for the two of us, but might be a bit uncomfortable for larger groups. The bathroom in the bedroom was small but lovely. The 2nd bath was somewhat small but easily usable and, again, beautifully remodeled. NOT A PROBLEM: no air conditioning. We loved the breezy December temperature and used fans for total comfort. The screen door onto the patio doesn't lock (neither does the back bedroom door), but we didn't tell the owners while we were there, so not a legit complaint. We felt safe, though it was a bit disconcerting to have a couple of residents walk by right outside the unit, which is ground floor. Not a big deal. MAJOR ISSUE: the parking lot noise made it impossible to sleep in the adjacent bedroom. People weren't loud partiers, but with windows open, every footstep and car could be heard. We slept in the living room facing the ocean, and were "serenaded" by a crowing rooster every morning from 4:30 - 5:30 am and occasionally at other times. We're early risers, so not a huge deal, but expect to be awakened by the pretty rooster immediately outside the ground floor unit behind a chain link fence. The chickens weren't a problem, nor were the many beautiful wild birds. We could, however, hear every neighbor as they moved furniture (probably futons converted to beds at night). OWNERS: lovely. Never intrusive, always immediately responsive. They seem to take real pride in maintaining this unit and accommodating guest needs. This is worth an extra star! Overall, for our needs, we may try to find a quieter spot, maybe a house. But this condo is a great value for the location and how beautiful and well maintained it is."
