"I stayed at this beautiful home with my daughter, her husband and three grandchildren. We loved it! The house is so spacious and everywhere you look there is a beautiful view! The living room & kitchen feel like they go on for miles. The house has steps leading down to the beach. The water is gorgeous, it is literally an aqua blue. We sat outside every day in total awe of the breathtaking ocean. The view could easily be on a postcard. I would return in a heartbeat!"

  • Outstanding value, great stay in Oahu away from the busy areas!

"This is our third experience with VRBO (our second booking directly). The owner and property manger responded to my email inquiries quickly, were both very professional and accommodating. The unit itself is quite spacious, modernized with nice furnishings and very clean upon arrival. A tasty bottle of wine and chocolates were an added touch and very much appreciated! Many living amenities and necessities were available; for instance, there are enough utensils/dishes for a week's worth of two meals per day for a couple. From the unit, there is quick access to the lower parking lot (visitors and placard parking) from the lower lobby and down the stairs. The complex is secure and guarded 24/7 and is way from the hustle and bustle of Oahu. The northwest side of the island has excellent hiking and scenery with quiet beaches nearby. That said, you must consider with tighter security, the property rules are stringent, especially with the parking placard and visitor pass. Be mindful the location does add extra time to travel and sightseeing other areas of Oahu. In exchange for being quiet and tranquil, this was very acceptable. Though the unit was well kept, the building itself is older and shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but note we are used to having a five gallon per minute waterfall at home :) Aside from these very minor things, we felt it was outstanding value for the nightly rate asked. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again and highly recommend this unit to anyone looking! Please kindly take a second to indicate if this review was helpful so I can focus my future efforts accordingly, thank you!"

  • Awesome Aukina Home

"We were 4 people (2 teens) staying 10 days. First time using VRBO. The home layout and amenities suited us perfectly. Big modern kitchen, open common areas and private bedrooms. The pool was fantastic bonus. The location is ideal, steps from beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended. We would look into staying here again if we return to Hawaii. Thanks VRBO."

  • Exactly like pictures

"My daughters and son paid all expenses for me to celebrate my 70s birthday here. We loved this place and had a wonderful time. Plenty of towels and bedding, along with all the other things promised. We were grateful for the extras, like the little cooler and the boards. Though the rental is a little worn as far as needing paint touch ups, you need to expect that near the beach. My daughters and I loved the roominess and clean, comfortable beds especially. There were condiments and basic spices, etc., along with food items that were fresh. The owner left us a basket of breakfast snacks and coffee too. She is very friendly and helpful. The walk to the beach was short and easy. We watched the sunset on Sunset Beach almost every night. There was plenty of hot water for showers, but each person needs to wait until the other is done due to affecting the water pressure if two tried to shower at the same time.. It wasn't a problem for us. Little geckos kept the mosquitos away. We only saw a few bugs and ants--just needed to keep things in the fridge and sealed in containers in the cupboards. The only drawback for a couple in our party was the roosters waking them up at three and four in the morning. It was later on the days it rained (4:30 a.m.). We kept our windows open, so we could hear the neighbor's dog started barking each night at bedtime, but it wasn't a problem for me personally. We only used the air conditioners for a short time one evening to cool because of the high humidity from the hurricanes we arrived between. The fans were enough through the night the rest of the time as gentle breezes blew through the windows. If you want a true tropical experience, stay here, but go to the crowded city hotels if you cannot handle a few inconveniences of animal noise. At least this place is far enough off of the road where the traffic noises are not a problem and the surf can still be heard. We had fun with the chickens and a old stray cat that visited (though we wouldn't let it in the house). We named the cat Meowee (it didn't really meow or bother us). Clothesline, outdoor shower, hose and washer and dryer were great helps. This place is well stocked for cooking and lacked nothing in the way of convenience. We got my birthday cake at Ted's bakery and it was very rich and delicious. This place is central to everything. Don't miss the Polynesian Cultural Center or Temple and Visitor's Center! Thanks for the fantastic memories!"
