  • Above the hustle and bustle

"Claudia's place is located on a hill overlooking the Koko Crater. If you want some quiet and solitude before you head out to activities on Oahu, I recommend this rental. It is very clean, well equipped and quiet, did I say quiet. A place for a great night's rest. This was our second stay at the condo, due in part, to our host, Claudia. She was, again, very helpful about things to do, places to see and places to eat."

  • Awesome vacation home

"We just came back from a Honolulu company get together consisting of 9 adults and 2 toddlers. Sonya was great and she responded to our every question very quickly and in great details. The home is situated in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. And this house offered enough room/bed for each and every one. The kitchen was packed with all the modern appliances, and all the essentials you will need. There were enough towels for everyone in our group and some. The bathroom was great, paper towels, tissue papers were supplied. Like the other reviewer advised, you just have to bring your own bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap/body wash) The house is exactly how it was advertised, no more, no less. The location was great and close enough to the tourist locations we wanted to see. The pool was great, unfortunately, we only utilized it twice during our stay due to a very windy and cold condition. (I'm sure it is so much wonderful in the summer). We all enjoyed this Hawaii trip because we had this great relaxing home to get home too after a day's adventure. I would definitely recommend this place."

  • Charming Bunglaw with Incredible Views

"Makapu'u is a 2 bedroom 2 bath traditional Hawaiian bungalow right on the oceans edge with unobstructed views for miles. This charming bungalow is like stepping back into time with modern amenities. There is a large modern and updated kitchen as well as the main bathroom. The first thing when we pulled in the driveway were the views! It doesn't get any better than this and you are right on the edge of the ocean. From the covered patio or the large windows across the front of the house there are views! We spent the majority of our ten days here sitting on the patio watching the whales. We even had a monk seal swim right up to us one day and we watched him from the edge of the property. Beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach toys for kids are all available in the sheds provided. I heard there was some update in snorkel equipment planned and we mentioned to them that items were broken. The management of this property is very accessible and I am sure if we asked for some other snorkel gear they would of accommodated us. Makapu'u and the other two houses that are a part of this compound have their own small beach and pier. The houses and the gardens are maintained beautifully with pride of ownership. Makapu'u is the last and most private of the three houses. It has it's own little fenced yard and vegetation landscape that provides privacy while on the patio and the hot tub (which also has views of the ocean!) You do share a driveway and parking area with the two other houses, but since this house is the last of three on the drive, no one comes into your yard. We met the couples and families that stayed in the other homes and found everyone to be friendly and great neighbors. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner of the properties (Mike and his dog Kawala) usually come by once a day to check on things like the hot tubs and any other maintenance items that need to be done. Because of his attention to his properties is why they are in such great condition. I should also mention they have top notch cleaners and it was spotless inside too when we arrived. Mike has a catamaran anchored out front, I highly recommend asking him about booking a sail out to Rabbit Island. Mike is an expert sailor and his family has lived on the Island for generations. He is very knowledgeable and very entertaining! There is noise from the road traffic behind the house so don't expect complete tranquility but this house is absolutely worth it!"
