  • Beautiful hotel close to beach!

"My fiancé and I stayed at the Ilikai recently for 9 days, this was our first trip to Hawaii. Terry made the booking and check in process very simple and was quick to respond to our questions. (Thanks Terry!) When we arrived, our room wasn't quite ready yet so we had a drink at Cinnamons, the cute little bar onsite. Very good food, drinks and staff! We came here everyday for a drink or at least to say hi to the bar staff. Both Derick and Alana were so kind and helpful in answering all our questions about the area. Special thanks to them for making our stay so memorable! We then got the message that our room was ready so we got all settled in. Our suite looked exactly as the pictures, clean, neat and stocked with all the essentials (coffee, some spices, some grooming care, beach mats, chair and umbrella). The kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed, bathroom has a nice big shower. Ample closet space and big lanai. It was a little noisy due to being on the city view side but much to be expected. This hotel is in a great location, minutes to the beach and right on the marina and has a beautiful lobby and courtyard. The buses stop right outside the hotel and run quite frequently. Ala Moana mall is a few minutes away by bus or a 15 minute walk, Walmart is near there and reasonable for groceries and liquor. In the other direction is Waikiki, which offers an abundance of restaurants and high end shopping stores. Our favourite restaurant was Doraku, best sushi we've ever had! Go for happy hour between 4-6pm. Our only complaint on this trip, if we had to pick something would be, the bed was quite firm for our liking and the curtains let in too much light. Other than that, we had an amazing time here and would definitely return! will most likely try an ocean view room next to see the view from the other side!"

"The condo is nice and completely remodeled but the building itself seems old. I actually thought I read you could rent or check out beach items from the Koko resorts office but they had nothing and one of the men in the office looked perplexed when I asked. I also thought there was a hide a bed in the couch but there isn't. I did request a roll away bed but all they have are blow up beds. They only had a twin size available when I asked. It's not exactly a "block" from beach. Maybe a Hawaiian block. This room is on the 25th floor and with the windows open at night there is a lot of traffic noise in the morning especially when its garbage day. There is a beautiful view of diamond head and a view of the ocean and very relaxing to sit on lanai. Don't go to the front desk and ask for anything they will tell you to contact the company you rented from."

  • Amazing Stay At HGVC Grand Waikikian

"We had an amazing time at the Grand Waikikian - we were lucky enough to have Heidi book a 3 bedroom penthouse for us. The room and the views from the 36th floor were stunning. Heidi was always more then helpful and very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend dealing with Heidi and staying that the Grand Waikikian and the Hilton Hawaiian Village."
