  • Great Place to stay for our Family Vacation.

"When we were traveling from the airport to our vacation rental, my daughter noticed some of the area we travelled through was a little sketchy. She asked if the home we were renting was nice. I indicated it was. When we arrived at the home we were not disappointed. The home is spacious yet cozy. My 3 oldest kids had their own rooms and my youngest made himself at home on the daybed. My family really enjoyed the pool. We went to Snorkel Bobs and rented some gear for the week. After learning to snorkel in the pool, we went to Hanauma Bay. It was awesome. This home is close to shopping and Waikiki Beach. It is not far from other attractions like the Sea Life Aquarium and Sandy's Beach. The Polynesian Cultural Center and other North Shore attractions are only 30 to 45 minutes away. The area was a little slower and much less crowded than Waikiki. The neighborhood is good. My family never felt unsafe. It is clear Mark has recently made some improvements to the property. Some are still in process but they did not affect our stay. Mark was very helpful. Any questions I had were quickly answered. After we left, my security deposit was quickly returned. This was my first time using HomeAway.com to find a place to stay. Having a home to stay in is so much nicer than a hotel. This home's private pool, the ability to park out front and a place for my amazing wife, myself and our 4 great kids to stretch out and not feel crowded really made the vacation great. Next time I am in Hawaii, I will see if this house is available."

  • We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Hawaii

"We looked at a lot of properties for a friends and family vacation that was leading up to a Hawaii wedding (though the wedding wasn't at the house). We wanted a place that was impressive and was different than a block of rooms in a hotel or resort. In all my searching, nothing else came close to the value and luxury we got with the Kahala estate. It surpassed our expectations. It was impeccably maintained and luxurious, with every amenity you could ask for. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and everyone had their own connecting bathroom. Everything from the main hall to the lagoon pool to the outdoor grill and patio (which was amazing - the grill was huge, well kept, and able to handle cooking for 10 people, and we were outdoors on that patio eating dinner many nights) gives the the impression of tropical paradise. Everyone was impressed by the place and thanked me again and again for finding it. It was in a quiet neighborhood, but with easy access to beaches, grocery stores, and local attractions (Waikiki and Diamond Head in particular, though we were all over the island that week). Even with 10 adults under one roof, we never felt crowded or in each other's way, even in high traffic areas like the kitchen, which was stocked with all the kitchen equipment and accessory needs for the group. Nikki was very easy to communicate with, answered every question quickly, and was a pleasure to deal with. We cannot recommend this place enough for any large group."

  • We didn't want to leave!

"We rented this home for a family reunion/vacation. The house was very comfortable and the outdoor areas were perfect for relaxing with the family. The neighborhood is excellent. I would suggest visitors rent a car while staying there. We rented one and were able to drive to several beaches on the island and could make several runs to the Safeway for groceries. Also, it was good to be able to drive into Waikiki some evenings for dinner/walking around. While there is a bus stop in front of the house, the limited schedule can impact your planning. Whole Foods is about a 30 min walk from the house. The store has great food but is expensive for basics. Would highly recommend this property to visitors. We would love to return to this house."

  • Exceptional House

"This house was simply the best house I have ever rented. We were met by the property manager upon arrival, and Sherry greeted us with a personal phone call as well. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was clean and well decorated. It was stock with plenty of food, fruits, snacks, and drinks, more than we could finish. The ocean view from the patio was exceptional. We spent plenty of time just relaxing there. We were also happy with all the beach supplies that the house prepared for us - towels, chair, gears, coolers, etc. It was more that we had ever expected. The location was ideal for our first time on the island. We were less than 30 minutes drive from Waikiki and the airport. It's also very close to Hanauma Bay for snorkeling. I don't think I could have chosen a better house than this one."
