  • Great hideaway

"This is really about 20-25 min out from Honolulu because of traffic on a normal day, but it was perfect for us! It is so easy to shoot to the Northshore and explore the rest of the island. We loved having an isolated beach pretty much to ourselves every evening. Listening to the waves at night with the doors open was heavenly. I would highly recommend staying here was very comfy with two people, would be tight with more though."

  • " This is Hawaii ! " as we expected.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just in entering the house, all young families shouted with joy "Hawaii, cheer!" looking out to the ocean in front. The location is truly great. To the east KOKO head,to the west a lovely local beachpark and in the front ,wide blue sea and far offshore sea deepblue with white wave tops. Beutiful!,never boring senenry ,indeed. Though covered by coral reef inshore, somewhere in reef caves we could find many fishes as in Hanauma Bay. In the evening we had great barbecue parties on the wide terrace cooking the local foods got at near-by Wholefood or COSTCO and beefs, vegetables fruits are good and reasonable as same in Tokyo. The house stands along with the highway and we had some fear of noise but the central cooling system does work and we could almost shutout it. A terrace lamp and kitchen disposal got wrong once but maintenance people came and fixed them very soon. So,we had no trouble at all. If somethings to add for more comfortabe , more lighting over the entire terrace, shelter cover for tables and chairs against sudden rain shower and safety measures for hammmock riders not to fall on the stone walls aside. Anyway,we all family, had a very, very good time during the week long stay. Thank you very much ,Hawaii Beach Homes ! Aloha from Kawamoto's, Tokyo Japan top far"

  • Fun, Slightly Quirky Place with a Fantastic Location

"We stayed at Liz Taylor's (as we came to call it) over Christmas for two weeks in 2014 (disregard above date). Our two kids, age 8 and 9.5, and my parents joined us and we had such a great time. As other mention, there are some quirks and in a lot of ways you can see the house is set up for catering type situations (weddings in particular) - example: a really big kitchen without as much cabinet space as you would expect. But we found places for everything and had more than most would due to the length of our stay. The open floor plan is great. Indoor pool was awesome for the kiddos. But the real kicker is the ocean front - the view is great, the little beach is nice, and the bay is shallow for a long way out - I could go out a couple of hundred yards and be only waist deep (at low tide, you could go further). Our kids are both strong swimmers, but we traveled to go out and get in some surf. We would take the lounge chairs down and sit in the water and read - that calm and nice. Nice enough access into the heart of Honolulu, but also nice to be out of the area. We spent a lot of time over on the Windward side and this is a quick jump around the point. As others have said, Albert was great and the team was always very responsive to any questions we had. A great option to consider versus hotels in Honolulu proper, especially if you have more than 4 people. Highly recommnded! And say hi to the ducks for us ..."

  • Great Christmas Vacation

"The house was so amazing. Had pretty much everything we needed, age range of travelers from 28-78. All rooms were excellent, master bedroom/bathroom with lanai was incredible. 3 full shower/bathrooms in the house (+1 outdoor shower) so never any issue finding a bathroom or a shower. The 3 kayaks were great, definitely recommend making a trip out to the blue hole for some snorkeling...we saw 4 or 5 turtles there and just as many fish as you can see at Hanauma Bay without the crowds or the lines. The pool was great as is the kitchen and patio area. We ate a majority of our meals at the house but it is a relatively short drive into Waikiki for some more action, or to the excellent restaurants at the Kahala. Grocery stores just a few minutes away. Beach out in front of the house is not fabulous, water is very shallow with lots of rock and coral until you reach the surf (which is a long way out there). But we spent all of time up at the pool when we weren't in the kayaks or snorkeling, so it was no problem for us."
