  • Loved the house and location!

"We had a fantastic time at The Banyan Tree celebrating our family reunion! The location was ideal, we were just 15 minutes from Waikiki, and within 5 minutes to a catholic church, gas station, grocery store, COSTCO, Ross, pharmacy and other stores. This was just perfect. The house is beautiful. It has a really open and airy feeling about it, we felt right at home. The kitchen was a joy to be in. Everything you need was at your disposal. Dining indoors or outdoors was a nice touch to our daily routines, and being beach front gave us all a chance to paddle board and take a dip when we were just hanging around the house, which was most of the time! It is a shallow and calm beach, which made it ideal for the little kids to enjoy too. Ryan, the owner, made extra efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible, so thank you Ryan! We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Absolutely Perfect!!

"As my son said, "This was the best vacation ever", and this is in great part to the perfect home of Mike and Melanie's! The location in Hawaii Kai on Portlock was so refreshing being out of Waikiki. We had 11 family members ranging from 18 to 82 staying together and the layout was perfect. My brother loves to cook and was so impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and utensils, not to mention glasses and plates. There were ample towels for indoors and out, beach chairs, ice chest, snorkeling gear and boogie boards. I forgot how muggy it can be so it was nice to be able to sit outside for a bit, but then go into the air conditioned house to cool off. Our favorite time was sitting by the pool first thing in the morning, having coffee and smelling the plumerias. I can't recommend staying here enough! Melanie and Mike are fantastic owners Mahalo Nui Loa"
