"My sister and I took our 85 yr old mom to Hawaii for a trip of a lifetime and stayed in this unit for a week. It was fabulous!!! Jennifer was always patient with me,answering all questions and giving us some great tips!! The unit was very clean and comfortable with spectacular views of the harbor and ocean!!! We took advantage of these views every morning and evening from the spacious balcony!!! There is a King size bed with a pull out sofa. Spacious bathroom with plenty of towels. The kitchen was well equipped with all appliances and dishes needed. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and more for enjoying time on the beach. There are washer and dryers just down the hall. Downstairs, Cinamon's has great breakfast with plate size pancakes! The staff at the Ilikai were friendly and always helpful. It was sad to leave but easy to pack up because we didn't have to do anything to clean unit (cleaning is done after you leave) just turn off air, lights and lock the door.
It was the perfect place to stay!!!!
The Hilton Hawaiian Village, next door has spectacular fireworks on Friday nights!! And some great restaurants with beach views.
Perfect location at the quieter end of Waikiki.
Walking distance to shopping at the Ala Moana Center, restaurants, beach access just past pool and down ramp.
Tour bus picks up out front by the flag pole. We booked tours through Polynesian Adventure tours, ( All day around the island tour, pearl harbor, and the Polynesian Culture Center). They were ALL fantastic!!! The trolley also stops by the flag pole. It's best to buy a one day trolley pass ($25) for all lines then the next day pass is free. We took the red line for historic downtown. Great tour with Quincy:) Also took the purple line to Aloha Stadium swap meet (great purchases, same items in town but much cheaper at swap meet), The swap meet is only on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pink line was great to take when we had walked all day but wanted to go further down beach at night($2 hop on hop off).
Duke's is a fabulous place to eat or go for drinks by the beach! The lunch buffet is a must!!! Just a little further down the street is Duke's statue, and just across the street the Hyatt has a farmers market. It's on Thursday only starting at 4 pm. Great selections of fruits, vegetables, and Hawaiian breads and pasteries!!!
This was a perfect trip for my sister, mom and myself!!!
If your planning a trip to Hawaii you'd LOVE staying at this unit!!!"
