  • Great View! Nice Place!

"I stayed here from 1/27/15 to 1/1/16 with my husband, my two in-laws, and my sister in-law. It was a little cramped with 5 people, the second bedroom isn't enclosed by a real wall, instead there are sliding panels, and the futon bed is not the most comfortable thing in the world - but other then that unit was pretty nice! I do echo the other reviews that say that the unit needs a little TLC in the bathrooms especially - but it was nothing too bad. There was a ton of things to use in the kitchen and the owners left us a lot of fun pool and beach things to use. We loved the view, we loved the location of the apartment. It was such a quick walk to the beach and the pool and it was great being a top of everything. The building itself had bands playing every few nights in the lobby area which was really nice. PROS: Great location. The pool and beach are right there and it's a easy drive to Pearl Harbor, Dimond head, etc. Good amount of pool equipment and kitchen equipment to use and tons of towels. CONS: You have a pay to valet park ($28 a nigh). A little cramped and the condo needs a little bit of TLC. Overall I think is a decent value for the price."

  • Fantastic location for a Famiky Holiday

"We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids aged 14, 12, 11 & 8). This condo was perfect for our needs. Walking distance to the beach, Hawaiian Hilton lagoon, Ala Moana shopping centre, 10 min walk to the heart of Waikiki. The perfect place to relax, nearby restaurants & pubs & you can even sit in the balcony & watch the Hawaiian Hilton infamous luau! And did I mention the Friday night fireworks. A perfect holiday in paradise. Thanks Ramona!"

  • Illikai #1508

"My husband and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Beverly's condo in the Illikai and highly recommend it. The view is outstanding and the location was good for our purpose (husband at a conference at the convention center while I goofed off in Oahu, traveling by foot or bus). The price is a good value for the area. The most important thing in a vacation (or business) rental are, in order, (1) cleanliness, (2) a good bed (for a good night's sleet), (3) quiet (for that same good night's sleep), and (4) a good shower. Beverly's condo came through with flying colors. It was clean, the king bed was super comfortable, there was virtually no noise from the neighbors, and the shower was excellent. An added bonus was the million dollar view off the lanai and Beverly's (and manager Kat's) responsiveness as a host. Morning coffee and breakfast on the lanai was a great way to start each day, looking out over the marina and watching the early-bird surfers. As noted by others, the apartment gets afternoon sun, but we just made sure to be gone in the afternoons...leaving the curtains closed to keep out the sun in the hottest part of the day. The apartment itself stayed cool enough and once the sun was low we were able to sit out on the lanai again to watch the sunset and to enjoy a dinner at home, using the wonderfully fresh ingredients we purchased at the nearby Foodland in the Ala Moana or the farmer's market. The apartment is somewhat dated, the dinnerware and utensils are rather low-end, the carpet could be replaced, and the knives were barely sharp enough to be of much use slicing the vegetables or fresh ahi we bought. But those detriments were minor annoyances to an otherwise excellent and well-priced Waikiki lodging. The view and the apartment's comfort more than made up for it. We highly recommend the Illikai #1508 for a couple wanting an ocean view in walking distance of the beach. It is conveniently located between the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Ala Moana Center, and on several well-positioned bus lines. Thanks, Beverly!"
