"This was my first VRBO experience and I was very impressed!!
I stayed in unit 1007. From the first contact with Kai, through my arrival and departure experience with Thon, this was a great experience. This unit exceeded my expectations!
The unit was immaculate and a perfect for size for 1-3 people.
I loved having the kitchenette, which featured a full sized stove, refrigerator and microwave. There was lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. They supplied us with ample bath towels as well as beach towels. The bed and pillows were okay, which obviously is going to come down to individual preference (I am picky and rarely find a hotel bed that I sleep well on).
The facilities were also great. I used the pool area several times. It should be noted that from 8am-9am, the pool is only supposed to be open for lap swimming and individual aerobics. Not a problem for me, but families with young children should be aware. I also had lunch at the little cafe on the recreation deck and it was quite delicious. The bbq area is also really nice. I didn't use it on this visit, but have stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed using them with family.
I had a car and used the parking garage, which was easy to access, and had plenty of space available, close to the elevators in my tower. There was a Safeway up the road about 1-1.5 miles (on Kapahuluu Ave). The beach was an easy walk two blocks down. Also lots of places to eat or grab a snack in the general walking area. I did eat dinner one night at Side Street Inn up on Kapahuluu Ave and they had really good local food.
I would definitely recommend renting from this company again and plan to use them again for future travels to Hawaii. I spent considerable time researching and looking at all of my options and this was the best value for my money. If I had tried to stay in this hotel going through traditional venues, I would have easily spent another $50-$75 per day on rental, resort fees and parking."
