"First trip to Hawaii and wanted to stay in Waikiki in order to be walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, and other tourist attractions. All the hotels were very expensive (easily twice per night of this condo), did not offer a kitchen, multiple bed and bath rooms, or the amount of space. Other condos I considered on Waikiki did not look to be well maintained, or offer the extra bath room that was a real plus.
At first, driving to and finding this unit was a little troublesome due to road construction, one-way streets, and the google/apple maps wanting to take you down a dead-end street to the side of the building you cannot enter from. After a few minutes, we found our way in, up to the room, and WOW! Clean, well furnished, and a lot of welcomed extras I did not expect.
I am going to list the cons first, but these are all minor and a meant to offer a fair review:
-Lanai view is not great
-Main sliding door to Lanai needed maintenance (very minor)
-This area of Waikiki is a little run-down - expect to see more homeless, empty lots, broken sidewalks
-The provided parking space was a little bit of a challenge to get into with a full-size car
-Master bedroom smoke alarm would go off when making toast (needed to always have the door shut)
-Price and location - less than half the hotels, and about a 7 min walk to Waikiki beach and shops/restaurants/aquarium/zoo
-Two bed rooms plus a sleeper sofa (we were 4, but could accommodate 6)
-Extra half bath outside master bedroom (kids did not need to disturb us when our door was closed)
-A/C units worked really well since we were coming from cold climate and not use to 80 degree every day
-Rooftop - beautiful ocean views, renovated bar area, and couple of nice community grills
-Furnished, full kitchen, and just 3 min walk from 24/7 ABC store for grocery items
-Big LCD TV in family room, smaller one in master bedroom
-Free, fast WiFi
-Extras: master BR closet had beach chairs, beach mats, bags, picnic basket, and a lot of other very useful things (we made good use of)
Finally, Patty was extremely friendly, helpful, and always available. We needed to have medical supplies delivered to the unit before we checked-in and she took care of all the arrangements. I cannot express how helpful that was given the effort it takes to travel with a medical condition. You will not find anyone on Hawaii with better customer service! Patty - Mahalo!"
