  • Great location, family friendly!

"We stayed at this property the week of July 4, 2016 and it was the perfect place for our small family! We travelled with a 21 month old and the condo fit all our needs. Only a short walk to the supermarket, to the zoo, the beach and main shopping areas of Waikiki, but removed enough that it was on a quieter street. It has a wonderful west facing view of the canal and all the amenities we needed! We would definitely return and the management is extremely friendly and helpful. Pros: - The small kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and has everything you need. - In-suite laundry was one of best conveniences (i.e. allowed us to pack light and utilise cloth diapering for our son). - Huge bedroom and king bed with lots of room to spare, and large closet space. - Decent sized living/eating area, but would be tight with 4 adults. - Great restaurants and take-out steps away (Marukame Udon). - Rooftop deck and pool were great, with views of the ocean. Cons: - Older complex, but well maintained. - Scary outdoor walkway to get to the unit on the 15th floor - not for anyone afraid of heights! - Though the unit has been updated (new counters, etc.) and is very clean, but could use a bit more work. - A/C units are great, but a bit noisy. Tips: - Bring your soap/shampoo/conditioner/laundry detergent - Supply your own beach mats and towels"

  • Perfect location if you are looking for less hectic beach area on Waikiki Beach!

"Views for this condo area breathtaking of the lagoon and ocean. You also have views of the Marina and parking lot but the lagoon and ocean views as well as accessability to the beaches make this facility one of the nicest on Waikiki beach. I walked most or the beach and a number of hotels have very little to no beach at all; especially closer to downtown Waikiki Beach area. Those downtown are on the other side of the street from the beach. If the beach and some seclusion are your priority, this end of the beach is where you want to be. You can go down two to three blocks if you want to be in the crowds. The restaurant, Cinnamons, in the hotel lobby is a good option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. More casual but open to the views of Marina & Beach. Good food and great drink specials. Very reasonable prices in comparison to some of the restaurants we visited during our stay. If you are looking for more upscale dining, the Ilikai has Sarento's on the top floor - sweeping views of Honolulu. Most restaurants and shopping are within walking distance from the Ilikai. Condo itself is very comfortable; beachy theme; not extravagent. Kitchen fully stocked if you prefer to cook during your stay. We ate in mainly for breakfasts and lunch - it saved both time and money to have the option of a fully stocked kitchen. Views when all drapes are open is phenominal. We did not spend a great deal of time in the condo as we explored the island daily. This facility is within 20 minutes of Pearl Harbor; 15 minutes from Diamond Head and no more than 1 hour to the North Shore and most parts of the island. Owner is professional to work with and is helpful in regards to top attractions to see on the island. This was one of the most pleasant vacations our family has taken - part due to the mere fact that it is Hawaii - the other is the convenience of this location to so many attractions and beach/ocean amenities. Our children are 23 and 24 - this was a College Graduation present as well as a 30 year anniversary trip for my husband and myself. I could not have wished for a better trip. The kids had plenty to do on their own - hiking trails, surfing lesson at the Hilton Hawaiian Village next door. Access to Ilikai concierge was available. Valet parking at facility was $28.00 per day if you rent a vehicle which we did. Parking near by was in the $24 range in the Marina. We opted for valet for the convenience/exceptional service."

  • Perfect Waikiki getaway

"We stayed here for two months on a recent work visit to Honolulu and we were extremely pleased with this choice. The location is perfect - it is just a short walk to beautiful Waikiki beach, with lots of convenient stores and great restaurants nearby, and excellent nearby bus links to Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Chinatown, downtown Honolulu and more. In the middle of buzzing Waikiki, this is a quiet and restful oasis - it is set back from the busy road, so there is not too much traffic noise, and all the other guests were quiet and considerate. This is definitely a great option if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing base from which to enjoy everything Honolulu has to offer. The building has a great pool and shared courtyard area for relaxing outside, as well as a shared grill option for cookouts. The service we experienced was also faultless - the staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating, and our rental hosts were extremely gracious and helpful with all our queries and requests. The condo itself is very well-equipped - very comfortable, extremely clean, and furnished with high-quality supplies and fittings, all of which we found to be excellent value compared to other properties we researched nearby. Because we were working during our stay, and needed to remain connected to colleagues back in Europe, the high-speed and very reliable internet was extremely valuable. In sum, we had an extremely positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend this rental."

  • Awesome Vacation Condo

"We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful condo. It has a very well equipped kitchen that we used a lot during our stay. The condo is clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The mountain view is very nice with lots of rainbows due to the constant rain in the mountaintops. Being a corner unit, there are windows on two sides which allows a nice breeze through the condo on most days. We only used the air conditioner a few times during our 80 day stay. Also because of a northeast mountain view, the condo is a lot cooler than having the hot sun all day. The Waikiki Banyan is in a great location that is close to the beach, stores and restaurants. We were able to walk everywhere and did not have a car for our entire stay even though there is a parking spot provided with the condo. The owners are awesome, helpful and very easy to deal with. We highly recommend this condo to others and will be returning ourselves in the future."
