  • Awesome Experience

"This was my first VRBO experience and I was very impressed!! I stayed in unit 1007. From the first contact with Kai, through my arrival and departure experience with Thon, this was a great experience. This unit exceeded my expectations! The unit was immaculate and a perfect for size for 1-3 people. I loved having the kitchenette, which featured a full sized stove, refrigerator and microwave. There was lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. They supplied us with ample bath towels as well as beach towels. The bed and pillows were okay, which obviously is going to come down to individual preference (I am picky and rarely find a hotel bed that I sleep well on). The facilities were also great. I used the pool area several times. It should be noted that from 8am-9am, the pool is only supposed to be open for lap swimming and individual aerobics. Not a problem for me, but families with young children should be aware. I also had lunch at the little cafe on the recreation deck and it was quite delicious. The bbq area is also really nice. I didn't use it on this visit, but have stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed using them with family. I had a car and used the parking garage, which was easy to access, and had plenty of space available, close to the elevators in my tower. There was a Safeway up the road about 1-1.5 miles (on Kapahuluu Ave). The beach was an easy walk two blocks down. Also lots of places to eat or grab a snack in the general walking area. I did eat dinner one night at Side Street Inn up on Kapahuluu Ave and they had really good local food. I would definitely recommend renting from this company again and plan to use them again for future travels to Hawaii. I spent considerable time researching and looking at all of my options and this was the best value for my money. If I had tried to stay in this hotel going through traditional venues, I would have easily spent another $50-$75 per day on rental, resort fees and parking."

  • Great View! Nice Place!

"I stayed here from 1/27/15 to 1/1/16 with my husband, my two in-laws, and my sister in-law. It was a little cramped with 5 people, the second bedroom isn't enclosed by a real wall, instead there are sliding panels, and the futon bed is not the most comfortable thing in the world - but other then that unit was pretty nice! I do echo the other reviews that say that the unit needs a little TLC in the bathrooms especially - but it was nothing too bad. There was a ton of things to use in the kitchen and the owners left us a lot of fun pool and beach things to use. We loved the view, we loved the location of the apartment. It was such a quick walk to the beach and the pool and it was great being a top of everything. The building itself had bands playing every few nights in the lobby area which was really nice. PROS: Great location. The pool and beach are right there and it's a easy drive to Pearl Harbor, Dimond head, etc. Good amount of pool equipment and kitchen equipment to use and tons of towels. CONS: You have a pay to valet park ($28 a nigh). A little cramped and the condo needs a little bit of TLC. Overall I think is a decent value for the price."

  • Beautiful views!

"The unit was clean, the master bed was comfortable, there was a nice breeze in early morning while having our coffee and tea out on the lanai. Loved watching the boats come into harbor. The fire works on Friday night were phenomenal - had the best view. The living dining room combination is very nice. The lanais were clean and adequately furnished. Everything is conveniently located near this unit. A few items of concern: the master tub drain was very slow to empty (about 1/2 hour) after the first morning shower - I informed the the management office and was told this would be corrected that afternoon. This issue was not addressed until the following day after going back to the office to again inform them of the problem. The living area rug was curled on one end and this produced a tripping hazard. The beds do not have fitted sheets and the the bed had to be remade every morning because the bottom sheet pulled completely out on one side. The WIFI connection did not work on the second day and again it took until the next day to correct this issue even though it was brought to the attention of the management staff. A few of the drinking glasses were not clean and had to be washed before use."
