  • Awesome Experience

"This was my first VRBO experience and I was very impressed!! I stayed in unit 1007. From the first contact with Kai, through my arrival and departure experience with Thon, this was a great experience. This unit exceeded my expectations! The unit was immaculate and a perfect for size for 1-3 people. I loved having the kitchenette, which featured a full sized stove, refrigerator and microwave. There was lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. They supplied us with ample bath towels as well as beach towels. The bed and pillows were okay, which obviously is going to come down to individual preference (I am picky and rarely find a hotel bed that I sleep well on). The facilities were also great. I used the pool area several times. It should be noted that from 8am-9am, the pool is only supposed to be open for lap swimming and individual aerobics. Not a problem for me, but families with young children should be aware. I also had lunch at the little cafe on the recreation deck and it was quite delicious. The bbq area is also really nice. I didn't use it on this visit, but have stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed using them with family. I had a car and used the parking garage, which was easy to access, and had plenty of space available, close to the elevators in my tower. There was a Safeway up the road about 1-1.5 miles (on Kapahuluu Ave). The beach was an easy walk two blocks down. Also lots of places to eat or grab a snack in the general walking area. I did eat dinner one night at Side Street Inn up on Kapahuluu Ave and they had really good local food. I would definitely recommend renting from this company again and plan to use them again for future travels to Hawaii. I spent considerable time researching and looking at all of my options and this was the best value for my money. If I had tried to stay in this hotel going through traditional venues, I would have easily spent another $50-$75 per day on rental, resort fees and parking."

  • Great location, view, and living space

"This condo was perfect for the two of us. We loved that we could easily walk to the Kapaluhu neighborhood to eat at local restaurants. Being on the 28th floor allowed for excellent views of the ocean. It was a treat to sit on the balcony for breakfast or cocktails. We stayed for 10 days, so we really enjoyed having more space than a hotel room. The condo was very clean and easy to access (it was convenient to not need to carry a key)- no lines to wait in for check-in. We rented a car for a few days and it was great to not have to pay for parking. I thought we might do some cooking, but it turns out we only ate breakfast in. However, the condo was well stocked and had a full sized refrigerator so it would have been easy to eat in. Owners were a pleasure to work with. The listing photos and description were accurate. We have booked this property again and can't wait to return."

  • Great Condo for Exploring Waikiki

"Our group of cousins had an excellent time in Uncle Ernie's condo. It is a bit small in size but worked just fine for our group of three people. We LOVED the view of Diamond Head and never tired of looking at it! The condo is lovely and has everything you need for your stay - kitchen supplies, plenty of bath and beach towels, beach equipment that is stored on the lanai. The building that the condo is in is nice, but showing it's age just a bit in small ways (the elevator is slow and the hall carpets are the worse for wear) but the lobby and the condo itself are clean and attractive. The location is perfect - easy walking distance to EVERYTHING. I liked that we were in Waikiki but all we had to do was walk to the beach and go left to immediately be away from most of the hustle and bustle. Restaurants and ABC stores are everywhere and easy to walk to in minutes. It's a HUGE perk that this condo has free parking to go with it. We were happy to have a car to explore more of the island and VERY happy to be able to park it conveniently and at no extra cost. We were delighted with our choice of a condo!"
