  • Honolulu Marathon Vacation

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose this location due to its proximity to the Marathon finish line near the Zoo. We were pleasantly surprised and happy how close it actually was to the beach and the downtown area. Everything you need is close by. The added security features are very nice to have and leave you with peace of mind. The property may look a little older from the outside, but everything in our room was up to date and functional. No complaints from us with anything. We plan on returning and using this same place. The quiet end of Waikiki but accessible to everything!"

  • Good value, great location, quiet and clean

"We'd never been to Waikiki or Oahu before. After seeing the huge swarms of visitors (I had no idea it was so crowded!) I'm very glad we ended up in the quieter zone. This condo building is on an alley-like street between hotels, and just 2 short blocks from the beach. It's also a block from the park and the zoo, and not far from Diamond Head. As others have mentioned, the unit was spotless and had a well-equipped kitchen. (If you have a car, get groceries at Food Pantry 5 blocks away, or drive to Safeway on Kapahulu about 10 minutes away.) The bathrooms had soap, lotion and shampoo samples to get us through the first couple of days. It's not quite as large or bright as the promotional photos imply, but it was fine overall - nothing fancy, a little worn around the edges, but we are value hunters and this was a great value. The management is very responsive; the mattress pad was torn and they replaced it within the day; we had TV issues and heard from the maintenance guy within a short period as well. (I'd recommend calling and not using the Fix It form on their app, which didn't seem to go through.) Minor grumbles: soft bed (I like firm); the fitted sheet was really loose and the corners kept pulling off the mattress during the night. The futon/couch is not very comfy; it slips down and hangs way off the frame. But maybe it's good for sleeping, we didn't need to find out. TV operation is a bit puzzling, with various remotes and channel/volume buttons that need holding for many seconds to get action. (I hear the office has new written instructions for operating the TV; it will be great when these are added to the app or posted in the room.) But you are not in Hawaii to watch TV really, so here are some tips! Walk to the KCC (Kapi'olani Community College) farmer's market on Saturday, it's great. 20-25 minutes up a gradual hill. Mami's Empanada's Food Truck is on your street, at the zoo end. (They do a wonderful Cubano sandwich and also arepas - get the sweet corn one.) Also take advantage of Tiki's 2-5 p.m. happy hour nearby on the patio. The #20 bus a block away goes to Pearl Harbor and the airport. The bus system in general will take you most places - shopping centers, downtown, out to Hanauma Bay - for $2.50. Oh, and there ARE homeless people all over Waikiki, and while that may be unsettling to some, we found those on our street to be decent folks striving to keep the area clean, and pleasant to talk to. Thanks Alli Beach Rentals for a wonderful stay."

  • Great place, great location 12/19/16 - 12/30/16

"We had a difficult time finding the entrance and key since I never received any information about checking in but once we got in the place worked out great for us. If you are planning to stay in Waikiki with teenagers this is your place. My husband and I had our own room with bath & my 16 year old daughter & her friend had their own. We could walk to the beach, the zoo, the mall, restaurants, & the aquarium. Having a kitchen saved us a lot and the washer & dryer was an extra perk. We had a car and parking spot but you really don’t need to rent a car if you are going to stay in Waikiki. There are tour buses you can take to enjoy other areas of the island or take the local transportation. The place was stocked with everything you need for the beach. It was clean and the owner was great. I would stay again."
