  • Very nice place with absolutely no parking

"Great apartment, it fit all of our needs except parking. Good size, amenities were great. However there is no parking in or around the property. At all. There are a few metered spots that you might be lucky to get, or pay lots scattered around."

  • Great location, very nice balcony view

"We stayed here for 4 nights with 3 adults and 2 small children - it was a tight fit, but doable. Valet services and the office staff were very prompt and friendly, and it was the perfect location for us. The kitchen was a bit underwhelming, but functional. We would stay here again and recommend it to others."

  • What we needed

"This place was exactly what my nieces (19 and 23 yrs old) needed. It was centrally located and had great views of both Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach, there is also the canal next to a golf course with lush greenery. I had breakfast on the lanai every morning. We were in extremely reasonable walking distance to Waikiki Beach, great eateries, and shopping. The noise, surprisingly was minimal considering how close we were to "where it all happens". The ABC stores are where it's at- basically on every corner with fresh snacks and groceries, toiletries etc. We did lots of beach bumming and eating which we walked everywhere to. One activity we did which required driving was parasailing- however we rented a car for the week. It's about a 20 minute drive from Hanauma Bay and other parts of Honolulu. We visited the Dole Plantation, again we drove to, in Wahiawa, which is about 45 minutes away and a BEAUTIFUL drive full of lush greenery. Then we also went to the Pearl Harbor Museum but was picked up for that. We also visited Chinatown, which we weren't huge fans of... mostly because we've been to Chinatowns in NYC, San Fransisco and Chicago and that was about 15 minutes away- so we definitely appreciated the parking spot. Upon arrival we called him and he met us out front of the villas, guided us to our parking spot and took us to our condo. The only thing that sort of left us confused and waiting was we never got a real email confirmation from Budi via email, but because he and I had a conversation over the phone, I didn't feel the need to have an official confirmation... maybe I should have? But it came through. During our stay Budi emailed me the confirmation page, and then picked up our payment. Other than that, Budi is nice, friendly and informative. We would definitely stay here again, and if we have a bigger group we might see if Budi has something else available for us before we seek out other properties. Thanks Budi!"

  • How did we love this? Let me count the ways...

"I am sorely tempted to not review this little gem of a perfectly located, adorable, comfortable studio apartment because we want to stay there when we return to Waikiki and it books up very quickly with new and returning guests. The location at the east end of Waikiki is perfect, close enough to walk to the hubbub, but far enough from the congestion and the crowds. The building is a ten story high rise called the Waikiki Grand Hotel. The desk staff is friendly, the building is clean and Daniel's apartment is in a quiet location on the fourth floor. The unit is not on the beach view side, but that is okay -- it feels like a tree house, because at four floors up, you look out onto the leaves and branches of a huge tropical tree. There is a solid wall of windows that you can open and let the tropical breeze in. There is a galley kitchen that is fully stocked with dishes, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom is roomy with shower/tub combo. Daniel supplies plenty of towels, high thread count cotton sheets, etc. There are beach towels and beach chairs supplied for your convenience. Daniel has decorated the place in a clean, modern style with interesting artwork on the walls (always a plus for us). The unit is very clean, with none of the usual tropical schmutz you often find in Hawaiian rentals -- always a plus! The laundry room is in the basement. The machines are new and the cost is minimal. Our laundry was done in under an hour. The laundry room is secure, so you don't have to sit there and watch the machines spin - you can go back upstairs and watch the big screen TV (with cable) in the studio. We stayed four nights and for half of that we had a rental car. You can reserve a parking place in the basement through the front desk, the cost is not high for a full 24 hours (I think from Saturday till Monday it cost 33$ total). Daniel is concerned for his guests' comfort AND he returned our damage deposit in full before our flight home touched down at LAX. We love Honolulu and we'd stayed at a $350+ per night hotel there in the past. Daniel's studio is just as nice as those hotels, it is located in a sweet, convenient spot (oh, there is a Starbucks a block away; an abc store downstairs, everything you might want is a very short stroll away.) We look forward to staying in the studio again!"
