  • Awesome Experience

"This was my first VRBO experience and I was very impressed!! I stayed in unit 1007. From the first contact with Kai, through my arrival and departure experience with Thon, this was a great experience. This unit exceeded my expectations! The unit was immaculate and a perfect for size for 1-3 people. I loved having the kitchenette, which featured a full sized stove, refrigerator and microwave. There was lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. They supplied us with ample bath towels as well as beach towels. The bed and pillows were okay, which obviously is going to come down to individual preference (I am picky and rarely find a hotel bed that I sleep well on). The facilities were also great. I used the pool area several times. It should be noted that from 8am-9am, the pool is only supposed to be open for lap swimming and individual aerobics. Not a problem for me, but families with young children should be aware. I also had lunch at the little cafe on the recreation deck and it was quite delicious. The bbq area is also really nice. I didn't use it on this visit, but have stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed using them with family. I had a car and used the parking garage, which was easy to access, and had plenty of space available, close to the elevators in my tower. There was a Safeway up the road about 1-1.5 miles (on Kapahuluu Ave). The beach was an easy walk two blocks down. Also lots of places to eat or grab a snack in the general walking area. I did eat dinner one night at Side Street Inn up on Kapahuluu Ave and they had really good local food. I would definitely recommend renting from this company again and plan to use them again for future travels to Hawaii. I spent considerable time researching and looking at all of my options and this was the best value for my money. If I had tried to stay in this hotel going through traditional venues, I would have easily spent another $50-$75 per day on rental, resort fees and parking."

  • Absolutely Recommended

"As one of our travelling companions put it, "I'd be content staying here and not going sightseeing." Of course, it is Hawaii so... No complaints whatsoever with the house, grounds and amenities. Very well maintained, clean, functional, luxurious. Location is definitely in a residential area but after being there for a few hours, the pool, waterfall and overall décor proved that one doesn't need to be ocean-front to experience tranquility and a feeling of being in paradise. Within walking distance of a decent beach, great area for joggers and within hiking distance to Diamond Head. Grocery stores and a mall within a quick drive. Once you get your bearings, getting out and about (Waikiki, windward side, north shore) easily achieved with great access to major roads. Should highlight that one of the walk-in showers was a godsend to the octogenarian with us - that allowed her to enjoy the luxuriously done shower and not be as concerned about slipping and such. I could go on...I'd be remiss in saying, anyone coming from San Francisco, please bring Tom some sour dough bread. Even without the bread, he made sure we knew how to work the waterfalls, pool lights, house lights and answered all of our questions. Yvonne also provided great communication and support thru the pre- and post-rental logistics. Can't imagine anyone ever regretting renting this house."

  • Awesome view and location

"My daughter and I stayed in this room for 6 nights. We had stayed in another unit at the Ala Moana the previous week. This property (345943) was definitely superior...a larger room with a full balcony and an amazing view of both the city and the ocean for less money. The sunsets were beautiful. For the price we thought it was great value. It was very clean and comfortable and the owner was very responsive to our last minute request for an extension. Everything promised in the room description was provided and the hotel itself has a pool, exercise room, small shops, laundry facilities, restaurants and a Starbucks. We would not hesitate to return to this property again."
