  • We already contracted for next year

"We thoroughly enjoyed this rental. The owner has a positive, constructive approach to her guests. Heck, we’ve already contracted for next winter. We’re a retired couple about 70. We spend the winter in Hawaii, so we’re living here vs full-on vacationing. (We keep our bikes and Hawaii stuff in a storage rental.) The pictures are accurate. Everything worked fine. We only used the master bedroom, but we both agreed (rare event) the bed was super comfortable. The pool is very convenient, especially if you have children. The Coconut Plantation, where the rental is located, is quiet with minimal traffic. Disney and other resorts are across the street, and their lagoons make vacation life or our life very easy. Since we’re living here, nearby (10-minute drive) is extensive retail in Kapolei, Costco, TJ, Target, Walmart, Ross, etc., and we’re very happy with Loft Yoga (Kapolei) and its variety of Yoga classes and other Yoga classes M-W-F at 8:30AM in the Plantation area referred to as the hammock section, a bunch of Palm trees that look situated for hammocks. Since we spend a lot of time in Hawaii, the community’s extraordinarily effective pest control surprised and delighted us."

  • Beautiful, peaceful house right on a quiet beach

"We loved our stay at the turtle house! The space was tastefully furnished and had a beautiful orientation to the outdoors. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood, away from the highway, and right on the beach. A public access point to the beach is right next to the house, but the beach nonetheless felt quiet and very private. We got the feeling this was more authentic island living, as it seemed most of the people around were locals, and the town of Waialua is tiny and not at all touristy (if you want AMAZING Poke, go to the Waialua General Store, which is just a few minutes away by car.) We loved the house so much that we didn't leave much. The beds were comfortable and the place had everything we needed (including snorkel gear!) The water out front is great to swim in. The front yard that faces the ocean is spacious and has very comfortable chairs for lounging, with a wall of tropical "hedges" ensuring privacy from anyone who may be on the beach. The owner was friendly and responsive. The only (relatively small) downside was that there were a lot of house rules that seemed pretty draconian, so much that we were a bit nervous about messing something up, even though we are very clean and respectful people. I got the sense the owner may have had some bad experiences with prior renters, and I can understand her wanting to keep the house in good shape, so I just chalked it up to that and everything was fine in the end. I highly recommend this place!"

  • Lovely home..

"Sorry its taken so long for me to review! Our hosts, Danny and Anastasia, were reachable within minutes, for questions/suggestions Modern amenities, comfortable beds, having the laundry access was a bonus. The lanai was a wonderful place for peaceful breakfast, or even just a cup of tea. Beach chairs/umbrellas/ice chest/toys - all of the stuff one needs for a great day at the beach Kuhio Plaza location is FANTASTIC, only a few blocks off of the beach, shopping close by. So many fast food places nearby, but I believe when visiting somewhere new, you must partake in local libations, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We rented a car (jeep) which was a bit of a challenge trying to park, but by the last day I'd figured it out. YOU REALLY DONT NEED A RENTAL CAR. If you wanted to rent for a day or 2 there are several local rentals nearby, but also the main vendors as well. All in All a fantastic time, wonderful location, and would definitely suggest this gem for your travel needs."

  • Good Apartment

"We enjoyed our stay in Hawaii at Kari's place. Was good and spacious enough for a family of 6. Neighbour is quiet, though there was some road construction while we were there. Overall was very good."
