  • Family of five over Thanksgiving

"We stayed in this wonderfull Ewa Beach home over Thanksgiving break. The property manager was very friendly and accomadating, the house itself was beautiful and the sea breeze that came through when the patio doors were open was amazing. We went to bed each night with the patio doors open and were lulled to sleep by the waves crashing on the seawall. The views from the back yard and seawall were absolutely beautiful the pictures posted on the website truly do not do them justice. This was a once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii to visit our son who is stationed there and we could not have had a better week....weather was beautiful, we were so close to everything we needed and the accommodations were perfect for our family of five. Mahalo for the wonderful memories."

  • Authentic Hawaiian Theme

"We rented both Ewa and Hula Moon locations for our parents wedding anniversary, 10 adults. Both units were clean and decorated with a true Hawaiian theme. The beach was secluded, private, but rocky. I would not recommend it for small children as the currant and tide are quite strong. Dave the owner was fantastic when we told him one of the ceiling fans was broken – he came out within a few hours and replaced it! We knew the units didn’t have AC when we rented them, however it did not cool down much during mid- July and was quite warm in the evening to try to sleep. We recommend Germaine’s if you want to see a great Luau – only 25 minutes from Ewa Beach. Also make the drive to Kualoa Ranch on the north side of island, we took the Mountains – Jungle Expedition tour as well as the Ocean Voyage tour….both were excellent. Great place to eat there also and a souvenir shop that was awesome."

  • Great Time in a Great House!

"We stayed here with friends before, during and after our wedding on Oahu. The house was very nice, homey, roomy, well equipped with everything you need for the beach including towels, and a well stocked kitchen with everything to make whatever meal you'd like (minus the food of course, which was easily purchased at local grocery stores, or Costco nearby). Since it was Mid-June, it was very hot in the house except for the 2 bedrooms which have a/c, however even with the trade winds, the rest of the house was very very hot especially during mid day to evenings. There are ceiling fans in main room, kitchen and bedrooms, but there really needs to be another a/c in the living area since the other 2 are upstairs in bedrooms and cannot cool the entire house even with the portable fans. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, and I would recommend new curtains for the sliding back door, and rent during other times of the year that aren't quite so hot. As other reviews said, the neighborhood does look sketchy, however, it is just local working class people, and older retired locals. We were never worried about things being stolen or taken from the house while we were away. We were away a good majority of each day, and the location is great if you want some place quiet, easy shopping and parking for free! We hung out a lot in the backyard, had a cookout using the grill for hamburgers and hot dogs, it was perfect! I would give this house 5 stars, but with the massive heat inside the house, I just couldn't. However, everything else was perfect, great WiFi, DVD player, TV's were large and worked great, and the roomy kitchen was awesome! Beds were extremely comfortable which is a huge plus! (Safe in master bedroom closet isn't usable, however we felt very safe here without using it.) You should probably get beach shoes for walking on the beach as the sand is very course and does wear your soles of your feet down quickly. We gathered Sea Glass and some tiny shells on the beach each day to make some crafty items to remember our wonderful stay here! The lady who manages the house for Rick is amazing, she would come over and help with anything immediately and always very friendly. Neighbors to the right were very friendly as well! I have a friend who I recommended the house to and she's bringing her family in December! I hope she has half of the fun we had at this very special house! It truly was a wonderful experience! Thank you Rick for such a wonderful property! Mahalo!"

  • Peace on Earth

"I don't even know where to begin... I guess I will start with how much I desperately miss this house and Hawaii. We just returned from my annual trip to Hawaii and we had yet another glorious day in one of the beautiful houses in Ewa Beach. This time it was this quaint little cottage that me and my husband spent many evenings outside on the lawn listening to the ocean, feeling the breeze and enjoying life. There were many evenings and mornings that we grab yourselves a cup of coffee walk down to the beach which was less than a minute away from our Hale, just to catch a sunrise or sunset. Everything we need it was at our fingertips towells, boogie boards, snorkel gear, shampoo, in all the different Essentials that we would probably need to cook/bbq when we wanted too! Definitely one of my favorite parts of checking into this beautiful Cottage was finding fresh pineapple waiting for us. Darla, Lori and Danielle really take pride in making sure your stay is not only extremely accommodating but they really take it a step further and make it feel like home. I don't think I could ever thank them enough for always taking care of us. I really didn't want to leave ever and cannot wait to come back. In Ewa Beach we were literally within minutes of the North Shore, short drive to the Disney resort (where I got the best massage ever) and we really enjoyed being able to see the fireworks in Waikiki from the beach behind our property! We had our own personal little spot on the beach and a perfect view of Diamond Head without even having to drive into Honolulu. We were just a married couple celebrating our anniversary and it was definitely the perfect size for us but it would also be quite enough for a small family. Please take your time and enjoy the back lawn area...it was one of our favorite spots!"
