  • Very Relaxing

"We had a wonderful time at this beach house, my family each had a beautiful room and enjoyed the beach and the gorgeous view of Waikiki and Diamond Head. It is close to every thing, it was a nice drive to the Dole Plantation, Disney Resort ( Lobster Roll was Amazing ) Germaine's Luau and Waikiki/ Pearl Harbor was only 25 min away. Karen is so sweet, helpful and a wonderful host. It was so nice to relax and the house is a good size where everyone can do their own thing, play cards, watch movies (the most DVD's I have seen in my life) read a magazine, watch the view or swim in the ocean. It was nice to BBQ and have family dinners and big home made breakfast together. I love hearing the ocean at night when I was falling a sleep, it was so relaxing. I can not wait to go back."

  • Great Family Memories Created on Ewa Beach

"We took our 3 young adult daughters and their husbands with us to Oahu to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and stayed in this house that had plenty of room for all of us. There were 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a large great room with lots of comfortable seating. The huge kitchen was outstanding with lots of counter space, high end appliances, ample seating at counter as well as at a full dining table. In addition, we ate many meals on the first floor lanai where we watched the sun set from a table that fit all 8 of us. The kitchen cabinets were stocked with almost every pot, pan and small appliance you can imagine. We shopped at the Safeway down the street (about 6 minutes away) and had no problem preparing meals for 8 and enjoying them comfortably seated. The view of the ocean from the back of the house was gorgeous. This property is by far the nicest on the street, and there are some run down properties around it, but it felt like an oasis. The few locals that we came in contact with were very nice. There was pretty good surf and we took advantage of the full surfboard, the boogie boards and the kayak that are conveniently available in the garage. We also really appreciated the collection of water shoes (all 8 of us found ones to fit our feet!) left for use and HIGHLY RECOMMEND wearing them as there is some coral in the ocean at the location and it can be a bit rough on your feet. The description of the property by the owner is very thorough and if you read it carefully you will realize the many amenities that are there to enjoy. Communication with the property manager and Victoria (owner) before and during our stay was seamless. The only reason we are giving 4 stars and not 5 is because of the lack of air conditioning (with the exception of one unit in the one downstairs bedroom). We were aware that this was the case, and there was great effort to keep things cool with abundant ceiling fans, floor fans, opening doors, etc., but in August, we Californians still found it warmer than we would have liked....the good news is we had the option of going out the back door and cooling off in the ocean!"

  • Family of six vacation

"The house was fantastic! Two adults and 4 kids from 17 to 8. The beach was very close and just located out the back gate and a short public path. At times you would hear someone walk by but they were always quiet and you would only hear footsteps. The neighbors in front were very friendly. We loved the use of the boogie boards and they were used at least twice a day. It was hard to get the 8, 10, and 12 year olds to leave and do anything else. FYI one of the great memories is the boys finding an inch long gecko in their room. After that they would search the yard for more for hours. The kitchen was well stocked which was great when we forgot to buy butter. It was great to be able to wash clothes and towels while staying at home. You are near a military base which never bothered us with random gun practicing fire. I have stayed previously on different parts of the island and was pleasantly surprised the located worked well for our vacation. The only thing I missed was a neighborhood bar for adult time. We arrived the day before a tropical storm and we were greeted with extra flashlights and candles along with fruit and chocolates. Before and after the storm arrived they made sure we were okay. We would definetly stay here again or use any of the other properties they menage due to how well they treated this property and us."

  • Great Time in a Great House!

"We stayed here with friends before, during and after our wedding on Oahu. The house was very nice, homey, roomy, well equipped with everything you need for the beach including towels, and a well stocked kitchen with everything to make whatever meal you'd like (minus the food of course, which was easily purchased at local grocery stores, or Costco nearby). Since it was Mid-June, it was very hot in the house except for the 2 bedrooms which have a/c, however even with the trade winds, the rest of the house was very very hot especially during mid day to evenings. There are ceiling fans in main room, kitchen and bedrooms, but there really needs to be another a/c in the living area since the other 2 are upstairs in bedrooms and cannot cool the entire house even with the portable fans. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, and I would recommend new curtains for the sliding back door, and rent during other times of the year that aren't quite so hot. As other reviews said, the neighborhood does look sketchy, however, it is just local working class people, and older retired locals. We were never worried about things being stolen or taken from the house while we were away. We were away a good majority of each day, and the location is great if you want some place quiet, easy shopping and parking for free! We hung out a lot in the backyard, had a cookout using the grill for hamburgers and hot dogs, it was perfect! I would give this house 5 stars, but with the massive heat inside the house, I just couldn't. However, everything else was perfect, great WiFi, DVD player, TV's were large and worked great, and the roomy kitchen was awesome! Beds were extremely comfortable which is a huge plus! (Safe in master bedroom closet isn't usable, however we felt very safe here without using it.) You should probably get beach shoes for walking on the beach as the sand is very course and does wear your soles of your feet down quickly. We gathered Sea Glass and some tiny shells on the beach each day to make some crafty items to remember our wonderful stay here! The lady who manages the house for Rick is amazing, she would come over and help with anything immediately and always very friendly. Neighbors to the right were very friendly as well! I have a friend who I recommended the house to and she's bringing her family in December! I hope she has half of the fun we had at this very special house! It truly was a wonderful experience! Thank you Rick for such a wonderful property! Mahalo!"
