  • Perfect Getaway Spot

"Walking into the condo you can't help but first notice the amazing ocean view. I was looking for something away from the touristy areas, and that is just what we found. My husband and I enjoyed our days at the beaches full of locals, the hikes and walks around the end of the island and in the hills near the condo. Of course, you are not far from tourist attractions when you want to head into Honolulu or Laie or somewhere else for the day. I'm a person who prefers to cook most of my meals when on vacation, and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. There's also leftover items like olive oil, spices, etc. for your use. We added to the collection with items we needed that weren't already there. (I love a kitchen like this when on holiday, so you don't have to buy every little thing you may need.) The owner have 2 beach chairs and a boogie board you can use. You do need to provide your own beach towels (I couldn't convince my husband to donate those we purchased to the condo, sorry.) The owners have a binder of very helpful information for things to do, where to shop, where to eat. There's a smart TV so you can use your own Netflix account or watch cable or a movie on the DVD player on a rainy afternoon. The internet never had an issue, which is such a welcome change from other places I've stayed. Definitely a recommended location to stay."

  • So peaceful and restful.

"We loved staying at your condo in Makaha. The views are spectacular from your lanai. The sunsets were amazing. Slept well every night with the waves crashing. Didn't need the air conditioning with the breeze coming through. Place was well appointed and clean. Pool and hot tub were well kept up and access to beach and snorkeling just down below. We were hoping to swim with the dolphins in at Makua or Yokahama beach down the road. Maybe next time. Fish at Makua and beach in front of condo were diverse. We were lucky to have gotten some snorkeling in before the swell came in but enjoyed watching the surfers at Makaha Surf beach that day. Loved the local Hawaiian feel of the area and how peaceful, quiet and beautiful the beaches were with the mountain range as backdrop. Such a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. We will be back."

  • Wolnderful Experience!

"This is a fabulous condo perched on the prettiest beach in all of Oahu. The condo itself is extremely clean and well decorated, and stocked with everything you could want, including beach accessories. The owner, Togo, is a most generous and kind individual who greets you and makes you feel welcome. This was my second time staying at this condominium, but my first time staying with Togo. I will definitely return, and cannot recommend it to you more highly."

  • Large property great for a couple families.

"We loved this house for our 10 people stay, we had 2 families and an extra adult. The A/C works amazing upstairs and in the downstairs there are lots of fans. You can also open a patio door with screen in each room as well as the kitchen living room area. We loved the large upstairs kitchen and decor was very nice. We didn't spend much time in the downstairs living area but it was neat that there was a whole other kitchen and living room if you wanted to have another area to use. The pool is not heated but you get used to the temp in about 2 minutes and it is fine, our kids had a blast and it was awesome that there was bookie boards, inflatables and snorkel gear flippers form other people that had left them there. The fridge having an ice maker was great for drinks and the blenders worked well for margaritas. there are several coffee makers to enjoy the amazing Hawaiian coffee and a Keureg machine as well. The wrap around deck was beautiful, the front of the home faces the ocean for spectacular sunsets and the rear and sides face the mountains making sunrises amazing as well. Every bedroom has a bathroom plus on extra one down stairs so there is no need to fight over showers or anything else. The wifi worked reasonably well considering we had around 10 people connected nice cable TV. You are minutes away from the beach (about a kilometer) and the beaches are not nearly as crowded as ones by Honolulu. The little town has some convenience stores and small grocery stores but we did make the 30 minute trip to the larger town several times to hit up Target or a movie etc. The only downside of this place is perhaps the location as it is in a low income area, the town and general subdivision felt a bit worn down and the local parks and facilities were really kind of gross. I don't say that to be snobby but if you are expecting a glamourus sub division with pristine sidewalks etc be prepared (the local convenience store locks the cooler you get drinks from and there is a security guard out front) There are also large dogs in everyone's gated homes to protect them, they don't cause problems but are a bit intimidating when you walk past. We never felt unsafe here but I did want to mention it. Compared to the other neighborhoods of Hawaii that I have stayed in its not particularly lovely. That being said I really did like the property so you get more good than bad. Location, layout and amenities were great, clean. Very nice manager."
