  • COZY COTTAGE w/PRIVACY on GORGEOUS manicured land

"This adorable country cottage is well maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and very well equipped -- and includes two full bathrooms (one is accessible from outdoors) w/plenty of towels (including beach and lounging towels), covered washer and dryer, BBQ (charcoal) grill and a well stocked kitchen area. The covered south facing lanai provides plenty shade all day, but the HUGE grassy area is perfect for lounging in the sun (all day). The unit is especially well suited for those seeking privacy, and peace and quiet. Marian (the host) is a dream to work with, very hospitable - but allows for complete privacy. She and her husband (and beautiful dog Ruby) live in the main house also on the grounds, hundreds of yards away - so it is as if you have the entire 2 acres parcel of pristine and manicured gardens to yourself. The private gate and driveway access to the cottage, is separate from the one the owners use (on the other side of the property). The setting is truly serene, indeed idyllic for the visitor seeking peace, quiet and rest - but yet very close access to the nearby secluded local beach. Other North Shore attractions are only 10 minutes away by car. This part of the island cools nicely most evenings, but there is a window unit air conditioner in the living room which sufficiently cools the entire cottage if needed. Everything in the cottage worked very well, was well maintained - and very, very clean. It is clear that much love and care has gone into the place over the years. Star gazing on a clear light is will delight anyone (there are even binoculars in the unit). This is my second visit, and my wife and hope to return many more times!"

  • Serene tropical stay by the ocean

"This place was exactly what I had in mind when scouting for places to stay in Oahu with my husband and two kids (14, 10). The house was just as it was pictured and it was just enough space to enjoy our week there. The grounds were well-kept, the unit was clean and well-maintained. It is an attached unit, but we only heard our neighbors once or twice (I hope it was the same for them). They give you warnings about having a sensitive septic system, which I was paranoid about in regards to keeping the sand out, but we didn't have any issues. The outdoor shower and hose was great for getting rid of that excess sand that makes its way into everything. The other units are super close, but if you don't have privacy issues, then it's not a problem because the windows need to be open for ventilation and cooling as there is no AC in the unit. The fans and ocean breeze did a pretty good job of keeping it bearable during the day and the nights were perfect. We went in October when the water gets rougher on North Shore so unfortunately we didn't get calm water by us or get to snorkle right out front. Be prepared for the same if you go between Oct-April, but it is still nice to be right on the water. There are bays close by that have calmer water such as Waimea Bay. The beach right down the road was so close and private, but again, the waters were a bit rough during our stay. We stopped at Costco on the way to the house, however, there's a Food Land just a few miles up the road, past Haleiwa, that would be better to get food so you don't over-buy at Costco. We hardly ate out, which was nice. We did, however, make a few stops at Matsumoto's Shave Ice. :) Yum! And the shrimp trucks in Haleiwa. We loved the ocean views as well as the mountains. There's a polo field next door so we had fun petting the horses and there are some friendly neighborhood cats as well. And frogs! My husband and daughter had fun catching them at night. Our trip was a great mix of activities (Diamond Head, Army Museum, Manoa Falls, Pearl Harbor, Byodo-In Temple, Dole Plantation, Polynesian Cultural Center) and just relaxing on the different beaches or at the house. Such a fantastic trip. Thanks for the memories!"

  • Family of six vacation

"The house was fantastic! Two adults and 4 kids from 17 to 8. The beach was very close and just located out the back gate and a short public path. At times you would hear someone walk by but they were always quiet and you would only hear footsteps. The neighbors in front were very friendly. We loved the use of the boogie boards and they were used at least twice a day. It was hard to get the 8, 10, and 12 year olds to leave and do anything else. FYI one of the great memories is the boys finding an inch long gecko in their room. After that they would search the yard for more for hours. The kitchen was well stocked which was great when we forgot to buy butter. It was great to be able to wash clothes and towels while staying at home. You are near a military base which never bothered us with random gun practicing fire. I have stayed previously on different parts of the island and was pleasantly surprised the located worked well for our vacation. The only thing I missed was a neighborhood bar for adult time. We arrived the day before a tropical storm and we were greeted with extra flashlights and candles along with fruit and chocolates. Before and after the storm arrived they made sure we were okay. We would definetly stay here again or use any of the other properties they menage due to how well they treated this property and us."

  • I recommended it to my boss

"I am so glad my family of six and a baby went with Murial's 3-bedroom condo at Ko Olina! The entire experience was hassle-free with Murial's timely responses to inquiries and requests (extra parking, extra keys, baby high chair, etc.); Patrick the greeter who helped us get settled with our luggage and parking the moment we arrived; and the villa staff who were very pleasant and helpful - maintenance arrived within 2 minutes of texting Patrick about a little issue. The Ko Olina Villas location is so picturesque. The condo is spotless, the appliances and finishes are high end, and everything was totally functional we just settled right in. We'd either walk to the beach via the private gate, luxuriate in the pools while sipping drinks from the bar, walk to the nearby restaurants and shops for some Hawaiian dining and shopping, or simply relax on the lanai. A major mall with Costco is just an interstate exit away. We walked to Paradise Cove for our luau experience and also explored the Disney Aulani nearby. It was a memorable vacation I can't think of anything that's not positive, I recommended Murial's place to my boss!!"
