  • Lovely host, great place

"The location of this little basement apartment is amazing--across the street from the huge lakefront park, a half block to the water. Yet it is quiet, with sufficient parking and great amenities. Access is through the host's dining room but she is quite discreet and makes it as private as possible. Karen went out of her way to make it feel like a special visit--she clearly loves her town and we do too. It was a lovely retreat and the only downside was not being able to spend more time there."

  • 25th Anniversary Stay

"My Wife and I stayed for 4 days. What a peaceful place. We felt like we were on our own island on Monday and Tuesday as the summer season had just ended. The early evenings were our favorite times to either hang out on the wrap around deck or go sit on the personal dock. The walk down to the cottage and to the dock was not to bad but coming back up can work you a little;-) The local Osprey paid us a visit twice and lots of deer walking around. Kayaking was very nice and we explored the cove and then all the way down to the Yacht club. Monday we were picked up at our personal dock by a fishing guide and went for a half day trip. My wife landed a 14lb Pike. We let that one go and kept the 5lb pike we caught for dinner. The drive down the rough dirt road and then the hike down the hill to the cottage make you feel like you just left the busy world and have found a secret hideaway. We drove to Harrison and another 7 miles and took the 3 north back to the 90. Beautiful sights to see. The floating walkway around the Coeur D'Alene resort was something we did twice. Leo was always available for any questions when I called and more than willing to serve if we needed anything. It was a blessed stay for us and we were reminded how nice it was as we traveled home back into the world. Our second flight had to make an emergency landing in Medford, OR as they thought there was a fire:-( 4 hour delay but we finally made it home to CA. We are looking at coming back with our 4 kids in summer of 2016."

  • Valentines Weekend Getaway

"My family and I (14 of us) were looking for a place close to CDA that would allow such a large group. This was the only close option we could find without paying an arm and a leg. Extremely close to CDA resort and restaurants. We were able to move furniture and comfortable fit all of us in the living room to enjoy hanging out near the kitchen. Everyone was able to sleep comfortably. There were 11 adults and 3 children. Great place if you want to spend some time near the lake but don't want to pay the lakefront price! Only draw back is parking. Make sure to carpool!!"

  • Absolutely Stunning!

"When looking for a place to stay in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho we stumbled across this gem on VRBO. When you walk in the front door and into the living room the view is absolutely stunning! This condo is equiped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Everything is clean and in good working order. My husband and I are definitely staying here again. We stayed 8 nights and it was a fabulous! The owners make it so easy with their detailed list of getting to the lockbox to get your key, how to turn on tv, how to leave the unit, ideas on things to do and restaurants to try. We loved LePeep's restaurant which is downstairs next to the condo, great breakfast and lunch. We also loved Anthony's restaurant which is a quick walk from the condo and we loved Cedar's restaurant on the water. They have an early menu from 4:00-5:30, they don't tell you about it you have to ask for the early menu. Soup or Salad bar and entrée with baked potato or mashed potatoes and vegetables for $19.95. We went at 4:30 and had a table right next to window on Coeur d' Alene Lake. Great location!"
