  • Great Family Vacation Home

"Our 3 generation family just completed our vacation at the DOCTOR's Inn. This home is very clean, very spacious and extremely well-located to everything we enjoy doing. Everything you need is provided. There was plenty of space for everyone including a basement bedroom and bathroom, perfect for a teenager. The laundry facilities were wonderful and very helpful when traveling with young children or flying in from a long distance and you need to travel light. The grandchildren loved the beautiful parks and beach, all within a very short walk from the home. The young adults could walk to the pier for parasailing and boating and we all enjoyed walking to the downtown area for the great restaurants and the occasional ice cream cone or snow one. Though the home is older, it is maintained, including air-conditioning, and the owners are generous with what they provide for your use. The price is right for the space, parking and location provided. We look forward to returning!"

  • Excellent Location!

"Loved this home and the proximity to downtown CdA. Located on the Centennial Trail for a safe bike ride to town or to ride the trail. Loved the master on the main and the comfy and firm memory foam mattress. The decor has a local flavor."

  • Nice house built in 1960

"I stayed with my family in January, five of us in total, and we had a lovely time. The biggest problem we had was the gas fireplace, and that was because we didn't know how to operate it (duh). You have to open the yellow valve on the gas line, push the knob on the fake logs in to turn it, and hold the knob pressed in to the "Pilot" position for about 10 seconds before pressing the starter clicker (button on the left (but still front) side of the black box the knob is on). You should hear it hissing very quietly if you're doing it right. You should be able to see the pilot flame nestled between the "logs" if you get it started. The kitchen is pretty fully equipped, but check to make sure the cookie sheet fits in the oven before you put cookies or scones or whatever on it, because the oven is pretty small. We made it work with a disposable foil baking tin. The oven runs a little cool, by the way. I saw a review saying there were tents in the front yard when the RV park was full. Not a problem for us in January, but the RV park was (surprisingly) full. I didn't expect that. If I'm ever in this area again in cold weather, I'd consider this house again."
