  • Wonderful Vacation Memories

"I had the pleasure of staying at the twin lakes home for a week long vacation with my daughter, Grandchildren and four year old Great Granddaughter. We rented both floors and I can honestly say that there was something in the house for all the activities you want on a vacation . The layout of the house, gorgeous yards, tables and chairs, along with all the amenities that come with the house are suitable for all ages and are of very good quality. The attention to detail on everything from the spices and silverware in the kitchen cabinets to the life jackets and fishing poles in the boat house were excellent. If you're looking for a quality place to have a vacation or getaway, with unmatched views and a place that just feels like a home, then my suggestion would be stay here. Without question this was our best family vacation ever."

  • Perfect Summer Vacation

"This was our first time to northern Idaho and we were very happy to stay at the Osprey Nest. It was my wife, me, our 11 month old and my mother in the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed for an 8 day stay and the size of the deck was great. My one concern leading into the trip was the high expected temps (95) and that the cabin didn't have A/C. Since the house faces east, only 20% humidity during the day, is shaded by the trees, and has good wind off the lake, temps in the house were never a problem. The biggest surprise was how close great hiking was to the cabin. About 0.2 miles from the house Gold Hill ascends about 1400 ft in about 3 miles to a great lookout of downtown Sandpoint and the bridges. In eight days, we were able to mountain bike at Schweitzer, race in the Sandpoint Long Bridge Swim, go charter fishing for Kamloops, hike about 20 miles, bum around Sandpoint a couple days shopping, rent a boat for the day and most importantly just relax by the lake. On the last day of the trip my wife and I both agreed, it would be hard to take another week long vacation anywhere but Sandpoint and the Osprey Nest."
