"Our vacation to Hayden Lake was one of my favorite, most enjoyable vacations ever. The location offers people the perfect mix between relaxation and lots to keep you busy. The property is beautiful with the house located in the woods between the road and the lake. The steep but sturdy stairs run down from the road to the house and then down to the sun deck and then down to the lake. The house and sun deck provide a great view of the lake and the mountains that surround it. There are chipmunks everywhere and lots of birds to watch. Our favorite was the lake access with the dock, floating dock, whoosh pad, and water trampoline. These along with the sun deck and game room are shared with people renting from a neighboring rental owned by the same owner. For us, this turned out to be a extra bonus because we have an only child and he met 2 great kids and they all played together. The lake was a refreshing temperature that that is cold when you jump in but easy to get use to. Our family of 3 visited in August for 11 days and the temperatures ranged from mid 70's to 90s. Every day was sunny. The lake was smooth, perfect for boating and water sports, with very little boat traffic. We sure wished we owned a ski boat because this location would be a great place to learn. Even without a boat we stayed entertained with fishing, swimming, and playing on the whoosh pad and trampoline. When we arrived we found a small, clean, cozy house. The remodeled kitchen was great with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. We ate most meals at the house. Nit picky things: would be nice if there was a better quality pan for making breakfast (There were 2 regular size pans, one is o.k. and the other does not lie flat on the the stove so it is difficult to cook with). More dinner sized plates would be great. We would have ran the dishwasher less often if we had a few more plates. Bring spices you want other than salt and pepper. We also had lots of fun with the Foosball table. The playing surface is not flat, but that just made the game into challenge foosball and had us all laughing. Karla was great to work with and I appreciate that she gave clear instructions on what she expected. We had a blast at the theme park Silverwood that is about 20 min drive away. The Hiawatha bike trail is about 30 min drive located in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. The trail runs about 15 miles, mostly down hill or flat, great views and bike rental."
