  • Perfect Summer Vacation

"This was our first time to northern Idaho and we were very happy to stay at the Osprey Nest. It was my wife, me, our 11 month old and my mother in the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed for an 8 day stay and the size of the deck was great. My one concern leading into the trip was the high expected temps (95) and that the cabin didn't have A/C. Since the house faces east, only 20% humidity during the day, is shaded by the trees, and has good wind off the lake, temps in the house were never a problem. The biggest surprise was how close great hiking was to the cabin. About 0.2 miles from the house Gold Hill ascends about 1400 ft in about 3 miles to a great lookout of downtown Sandpoint and the bridges. In eight days, we were able to mountain bike at Schweitzer, race in the Sandpoint Long Bridge Swim, go charter fishing for Kamloops, hike about 20 miles, bum around Sandpoint a couple days shopping, rent a boat for the day and most importantly just relax by the lake. On the last day of the trip my wife and I both agreed, it would be hard to take another week long vacation anywhere but Sandpoint and the Osprey Nest."

  • Fabulous Place to stay!

"We rented this property in June 2016 and could not have been more pleased! It was well stocked with all you needed in the kitchen as well as for sleeping with comfortable beds and pillows. It was in an excellent location to walk to town, a gorgeous view, and plenty of room for the 5 adults that we had. It was all that the photos show and more. Will definitely recommend this to family and friends with no hesitation."

  • Winter views and walks on the shore

"Wonderful place to stay for a few days while skiing Schweitzer and visiting Sandpoint. We liked the Ponder Point location with easy 10 minute access to Sandpoint and easy access to Schweitzer mountain. The lake loses about 6--8 feet of water in the winter months, but it turned out that this made it wonderful for walking on the shore line and exploring the area - ttoal surprise that we loved each morning. The view and the lighting from the living room are wonderful. Hot tub views can't be beat. Nice downstairs for tv watching and lounging which keeps the upstairs for conversation and reading and looking across the lake. Kitchen was great for cooking and eating with kids as well. Two notes - home is a little dark upstairs, but nothing that causes problems. Floors are a little slippery for kids (and adults) in socks. We were a small group, but you the price was perfect for the quality and convenience of this house, even with just our 4 person family. We kept saying that it must be incredible in the summer because of all the outdoor amenities, but even in winter, it was a blast. Thank you for letting us share your home."

  • Wonderful 4th of July holiday

"My parents, my husband, our 1 year lab and me had a wonderful 4th of July holiday. The house is so comfortable that we never left and just enjoyed the house. The deck was especially wonderful as it was fenced and our lab could not jump off. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the game room was great. We loved playing pool. Will definitely hope to rent it again."
