"This is a great property converted to a rental in just the past year. It's got great basics and offered the perfect amount of room for 9 adults and three children below the age of three. The boathouse especially is a lovely setting with a nice open floorplan and fantastic views. A great place to wake up. The kitchens were well stocked, organized and clean. Two refrigerators in the main house and another in the boathouse gave us ample space for all the food and beverages we packed for the long weekend. The dock was huge and gave room for us all to hang out, plus there was ample cushioned seating. With there were more chaise lounges (there were just two), but that's a small detail. The property needs some tlc from the rental company - trimming or removal of weeds (some of them thorny) (especially around the main house firepit but also along paths), maintenance and repairs to the dock (it was unattached to one of it's poles, had a loose board and peeling paint. There was no gas grill, as advertised, and this was a bit of an issue to us as we planned three dinners around grilling. There were two charcoal grills - one rusted over and on a weak plastic stand set out on the main house's deck. It was not usable. Another tucked away under the shed that we pulled into action, after rehabbing the grill itself. Charcoal was not provided. I strongly recommend to the rental company that they either buy a nice gas grill or change the ad to be accurate, and go the extra mile to provide charcoal, lighter fluid etc. I also recommend that they provide some ready-to-use firewood (dry, split) for the firepits. We bought our own and used the charcoal grill on the deck as a 'firepit' instead of sitting among the weeds around the real firepit. Also, one of the coffee makers leaked and was not usable for that reason. The bedrooms were well appointed, comfortable and offered lots of storage for belongings. Walk-in closets in each bedroom made great sleeping rooms for the three little ones, and noise from the common areas did not affect them at all. Overall, we had a great stay and it accomodated a large group of adults plus children very well. It's a very private, attractive, serene setting and the owner clearly put a lot of love and planning into its design and details, and it was well stocked. The property just needs some sprucing up and tlc from the rental company that manages it. When you book, ask specifically about the grill situation and the dock repairs."

  • Much more than we expected!!

"We continue to say, "what a great getaway"! Whether swimming off the private dock in water that is so clear you can see the bottom, paddle boating, having coffee in the morning on your choice of decks (while watching the breathtaking view as the sun rises over the mountains that meet the lake), or grilling in the evening, there could not have been a better way to relax and just enjoy nature. While there, we visited the charming town of Sandpoint, taking in the Farmer's Market and the many specialty shops. As the bottle of wine Donna left for us was so delicious, we just had to visit the wine shop. In addition to the surroundings, the amenities of the home left nothing to be desired. We looked forward to sleeping in such quiet surroundings in the most comfortable beds with luxury linens. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer! We will be back but intend to spend a week next year. Thank you for your hospitality; it is obvious you truly enjoy sharing your home with others!"

  • Christmas trip to sandpoint

"You're condo was warm and very well equipped. Comfortable bed. We loved the welcome touch of the bottle of wine on Christmas Day. We did find the reed infusers a bit strong. So we moved them to the bathroom. Very walkable to town. Great place to stay, would definitely come back"

  • The facility was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed.

"The townhouse was well done and kitchen had everything one would need. We only had one hiccup. The description of what beds where in what rooms was different that what was actually there, but we were able to adjust and everyone was very comfortable. Downtown was an easy walk from the place and we rented a jet ski and pontoon boat which were also easy to walk to. I would recommend this to others."
