  • Perfect for large family.

"We came to Couer d'Aline for a reunion of my husband's family. Since our immediate family doesn't get to spend a lot of time together, I wanted a place that would house the 10 of us (including 3 small children) under one roof. I also wanted to be walking distance to the lake and at least one park. It's like we won the lottery. It also had a large, fenced yard which worked very well for the larger family get-togethers-an additional 30 or so people for dinners and games. This was so much better than going to a commercial venue: we were able to cook in the spacious kitchen (which had plenty of utensils and pots and pans, etc.) and seat everyone around the several tables on the deck and patio. And the kids had plenty of room to run around. There is a small beach a couple of blocks away and Mary kindly provided beach chairs, towels and floats. Downtown and McEuen park are within a mile. Trails on Tubb's hill are also only a couple of blocks away. Mary made sure that we had everything we needed: a pac 'n play for the 2-year old, detergent for the washer, shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms, snacks and drinks available when we arrived. She also very graciously allowed us 2 extra hours to check out. In summary, I would say that the property more than met our expectations and needs. I would definitely recommend this for a large group."

  • Mountain Paradise

"This cabin is amazing. If you're looking to get off the grid and see one of the best sunrises as well as one of the best star gazing places, then here you go! My husband and I stayed here with our two young boys (ages 9 and 5), and absolutely loved this place and the town of Victor. I think it would be better for a couple, then for a family of 4 (or 2 couples) - we didn't use the air mattress, but made a makeshift bed out of about the 5-6 comforter blankets available. But overall, the fresh clean air and peacefulness of the place can't be beat. If you want to be near the Grand Tetons and Jackson, but have a quite, remote place at the same time, I would highly recommend staying here."

  • For a ski condo this place is great!!

"Very impressive for a compact condo! Although compact the kitchen was very well appointed even for a classically trained chef....gas stove!! My brothers and I take a ski vacation every year and sun valley doesn't disappoint! With 2 queen beds and a bunk plus 2 full bathrooms the condo has a lot of space and spaghetti bolognese on super bowl Sunday after a day of skiing??! Can't be beat!"

  • Retreat Facilitator

"Our women’s retreat (20 or less) needed a new home that was more accommodating for some of our members with mobility issues, especially one who uses a walker. We’ve found the perfect home at this location in Crane Shores! Not only can we cook our own meals easily with the large kitchen and have everyone find a place at a table (dining table and use the 2 furnished card tables), but we can all comfortably gather in a large circle in the living room for our group discussions. Having the hot tub to relax in after hiking and the fire ring for s’mores and singing in the evening were a bonus for our group. With a diverse group of ladies, this location in Donnelly works well for our “free time” on Saturdays—some off to Gold Fork Hot Springs, others hiking on trails at Ponderosa State Park, and others like to explore McCall. On our retreat evaluation, there were mostly positive comments about the house—“fabulous”, “clean”, “nicely furnished”, “beds were comfortable”, “spacious”. Our women’s group will return for a fourth year and would recommend this house for a family reunion or retreat."
