  • Beautiful home / spectacular views -- Family Thanksgiving trip

"We stayed at this house over Thanksgiving to spend time with family from the nearby Spokane area. The house was everything that was advertised in the description and more. The owner was extremely helpful and answered several questions by phone and email before we arrived. During our stay, the owner was available for questions with immediate responses by phone and text messaging. The main floor was an open floor plan with the kitchen flowing into the dining room and living area. This worked especially well for those of us watching the football and basketball games on the large flat screen TV in the living area. The chef’s kitchen was stocked with everything you need, high end appliances and looked out towards the lake/city/mountain views. As described, the kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms at the back of the house have 3 levels of large decks with spectacular views of Hayden Lake, the nearby valley, city lights and the mountains that frame the valley. All of the bedrooms had comfortable beds and large closets. Each room also came with a view. The master bedroom was really over the top with a large flat screen TV, fire place, huge walk-in closet, large bathroom with a steam/shower room and luxurious bath that had the best views in the house. The interiors were beautifully decorated and you could tell that the owners put a lot of attention into the details. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked with bedding, towels, and personal care amenities. Each day we enjoyed watching the local deer and even had some wild turkeys stop by. Our visit also included a trip into nearby Coeur D’Alene for some holiday festivities that included a little bar-hopping and a stroll on the lakefront boardwalk with holiday lights. Overall, this property was terrific and we will have memories from this trip that will last a lifetime. We are looking forward to our next visit to the ‘Castle House’!"

  • Perfect Location, Beautiful Home, Incredible Views

"This was our second year visiting Teton Valley to ski at Grand Targhee. The first year we stayed off of Ski Hill Road with the intention of being closer to the ski area. Although a nice place, it lacked character and views. We spent a lot of time going through all the options for a rental in the area that would satisfy our need for a well rounded vacation. This home was simply perfect. From the minute we arrived, we felt right at home. We met the caretaker shortly after we arrived and he was available to ensure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The views of the Tetons in the mornings and evenings were breathtaking. It was so nice to relax and watch the sunrise and sunset everyday with the most spectacular show of light on the Tetons. The house was very well laid out with the bedrooms on the second floor and a gathering area that had huge comfortable bean bags to kick back in front of a large picture window looking out at the mountains. No expense was spared on the comfortable beds and high quality linens and towels. There were even large thick towels for the hot tub. The main floor was very nice with a great kitchen(it had everything we needed), dining room and very comfortable family room. One of the biggest highlights was the wood burning fireplace. The room included two very comfortable couches and an HD TV. The home is beautifully decorated with amazing detail that brought out the essence of the Teton Valley. The hot tub was well maintained and we used it every evening after skiing. Driggs was only 3.5 miles away and Victor was worth the 12 mile drive to visit the Moonshine Liquor store that had an incredible selection of nice wines. The local Vodka distillery is right down the road. Even if you do not drink alcohol or specifically vodka/bourbon, you would still be fascinated by the tour. They have won national wards and are a local business. Of course the skiing was amazing, we love the local feel of the Grand Targhee Ski Area. They have every level of skiing and we enjoyed being up on the mountain daily. The extra five minute drive to Targhee is so worth it when you wake up to a view of the mountains. If you are considering a trip to the Teton Valley, this is in our opinion one of the highest quality VRBO's that we have ever stayed in. We will definitely come again and have already recommended it to close friends and relatives."

  • Great condo for a big group

"Picked up the keys after hours from the lock box at the property management office. The condo was really nice with plenty of space for everyone. Its nice having the kitchen, living room, and dining room all together. Even when we were all in that space it didn't feel like we were crammed in. Would definitely stay here again!"

  • Great location, price is right !

"My husband and I stayed at this location for 30 days so he could complete Ironman Coeur d' Alene. The house has everything you need, and all appliances are in good working order. It was very clean and the location cannot be beat for the price. We drove cross country and arrived a few days earlier than planned, Lauren could not have been more accommodating. The place was ready for our arrival. We had a great time and will take away wonder memories of our time in Idaho. Great place, great town !!!"
