  • Centrally Ketchum location, spacious, perfect for multi-generational family gathering, great hosts

"Our family of five, grandparents, parents and 11-month-old, just spent four terrific nights at the Harriman Ketchum Townhouse. There are two king-bed master bedrooms with bathrooms as well as a queen bed with bathroom, which was perfect. If you're multi-generational, suggest the older generation stay in the master bedroom on the top level, which is where the living/dining/kitchen areas are, and let the younger generations use the downstairs area, which requires climbing stairs more. The main floor, which is the top floor, had a huge living, dining, kitchen combo with high ceilings and great views of the surrounding mountains and nearby aspens. We spent any time indoors in this area. Plenty of room for the toddler to play and crawl around while the adults conversed. The showers provide a powerful spray (good after a long day hiking or skiing), and there's a large jacuzzi for soaking. We were able to park one of our cars in the attached garage, which can be very useful in bad weather. The entire description of the home was accurate, including the part about the Western-based theme, including a large, stuffed elk head in the living room and a huge bison in the upstairs master bedroom. The home was immaculate when we arrived, but not impersonal: There were interesting historical photos from the owner and his ancestors, and some good books about their contributions, which made the townhouse feel like a home. The property manager, who is a gem, provided a high chair, a pack-n-play, a full box of age-specific toys (!), gates for the top and bottom of the stairs, and a high-quality backpack for holding the toddler while hiking or walking, as well as good brochures about various activities, bus schedules, etc. She called to discover when we wanted to arrive and then made sure to meet us, on our schedule. WAY ABOVE and beyond. You are only 2-4 short blocks to all that downtown Ketchum has to offer, but in the residential area, so it's very quiet at night. We enjoyed local restaurants Perry's, Il Naso, and The Sawtooth Club, all of which were within easy walking distance. We took the gondola to the Roadhouse Restaurant on Bald Mountain and our son-in-law went fly fishing (successfully!) just two blocks from the house. All in all, it was a stellar choice for our family. We highly recommend it to anyone and hope to return."

  • Thanksgiving Memories

"We were very impressed with the condo we stayed in. The local area manager did a great job of answering our questions and helping make our stay wonderful. We were able to accommodate all of our family from Montana and cook a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. A very nice unit with 3 bathrooms which was necessary for our 3 families. The view was breathtaking looking over the lake every day and the occasional deer that graze on the grass. We did take a drive up to Gozzer Road to check out the golf course. This condo is a short drive from Couer d Alene, which we did make a couple of times to embrace the Black Friday shopping and attend the parade and lighting ceremony. The underground parking is nice with the weather changing during the winter months. The condo had ample dishes to serve all of us. I highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants a wonderful place to stay."
