  • Ideal Downtown Chicago Location

"We were very pleased with our choice in accommodations. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL and peaceful street in the Gold Coast area. This brownstone was perfect for our family (2 Adults, 2 kids (7 & 9) and our adult friend). The spaces were perfectly sized and more than enough room for all of us. All the supplies were there as needed, such as paper goods, linens for all pull outs and regular bedrooms. The kitchen was complete and was perfect for all our leftovers from the very nearby restaurants. We were in walking distance to The Drake, Hancock Tower, and all of the Mag Mile and Riverwalk. The beach was close by, but we ran out of time to walk over there. Perfect location. The off site parking was a little pricey ($36/day) but was attended by Steve, who's very personable and befriended our daughters each time we visited our vehicle. Be sure to make sure you're not blocked in on the night before you'd like to leave, as they pack this space full during the day with people working close by. You can move your car from space to space, but they discourage In/Out privileges. We would definitely consider this property again if we were to return to Chicago with our children. We could choose a smaller property upstairs if it were available for us as a couple. Thanks to the owners for offering this property to us! Wendy"

  • Suitable property in an excellent location

"This was our first time staying in the Gold Coast and the convenience plus pleasant neighborhood are the essential features of this property. The Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and TV room are all fine for a beach/city vacation but it's really not for 4 paying adults per suite (8 total across two units). The air mattresses leaked but our young adult children were only with us for a few days so they survived. It's really 3 adults per unit max (two actually paying) maybe 4 with kids."

  • Quiet and close to great shopping and food

"Very quaint and rustic third floor room space. Perfect for us and our son who loved his own area. Has everything you need to have a great time. Love the stained glass in the living room with a window seat to read by. Location is perfect for what we like to do Close to shopping , great places to eat and the beach to take long walks in the morning. Even ran into Lincoln park zoo and checked out the gibbons in the am. Will stop back again next time in Chicago"

  • Great location and space for a group

"My colleagues and I had a great few days at the mansion. It's certainly a unique space, so be prepared for something different. That said, different doesn't mean bad! The location really is great because you're within walking distance of many great restaurants and bars. There are 6 total beds, so unless people are sharing, I'm not sure I would recommend this place for more than 6-8 individuals. However, if you're okay with couches and/or air mattresses, there is plenty of space to spread out. The garage is full of the owner's stuff, so it was a tight fit getting my Toyota Camry in there. Just a heads up if you were planning on bringing a bigger SUV or mini-van."
