  • Convenient and safe location, Gold Coast, Chicago

"We stayed at E Cedar St for 5 nights and it was absolutely lovely. Upstairs is a more formal Great room with one bedroom and bathroom. Downstairs is another bedroom with kitchen bath and dining providing two separate living quarters. Enjoyed the comfortable bedding immensely We found the street very safe and the neighbours extremely helpful and friendly. Advice as to catching cabs, and how to get anywhere was offered freely by helpful neighbours. It certainly is an upmarket area. E Cedar is only one block from Michigan Ave (Mag Mile) so shopping is on the doorstep from Prada to Marshalls. Many restaurants are a very short walk and all the sights are just a cab ride away. We never used public transport but found the cab drivers to be honest and fair. We would thoroughly recommend River Roast at night for both food and ambience. We had deep dish Chicago pizza at the mall off Macy's (light and fluffy pastry) and Garretts popcorn the 7th floor of the Mall thereby avoiding lines. The Chicago architecture tour is a must and the ladies restroom on the 96th floor of the Hancock building is not to be missed. Would stay again at E Cedar and have given it a 5 star rating"

  • A lovely condo on a quiet street right next to everything!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo on Cedar St. right between Rush Street and the Lake! Everything is in walking distance and we love to walk! There are restaurants galore in Chicago, having more 5 star restaurants than any other place in the country. We love Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and Lou Malnatti's is just 1/2 a block away! Uno's and Due's just a few blocks down State Street. The Original Morton's Steak House is also just a block away with the finest steaks anywhere! We had everything we needed in the condo, including a very comfortable king size bed, a priority for us. The neighborhood is elegant and quiet and we loved walking along Oak Street Beach. Michigan Avenue (the Mag Mile) is just a 1/2 block away and we love strolling down to the Hancock Center, Water Tower Place and then farther down across the river to the world famous Art Institute, always a must for us Do take the Architectural Boat Cruise up the river. Chicago is world famous for it's architecture. All in all, we loved staying here and hope to return to this condo on future trips to this wonderful windy city!"

  • Suitable property in an excellent location

"This was our first time staying in the Gold Coast and the convenience plus pleasant neighborhood are the essential features of this property. The Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and TV room are all fine for a beach/city vacation but it's really not for 4 paying adults per suite (8 total across two units). The air mattresses leaked but our young adult children were only with us for a few days so they survived. It's really 3 adults per unit max (two actually paying) maybe 4 with kids."

  • Fabulous!

"We could not have found a better place to stay. Everything is as stated in the description, and more. Location is perfect; close to the beach, restaurants, and public transit. The bed is so comfortable, I want to take it home. We had a minor problem upon arrival that was handled in record time with upmost courtesy. We are excited to come back next year. Thank you."
