  • Great apartment!

"We stayed 7 people in this apartment for 4 days. It has excellent location with groceryshop in groundfloor. Its very short way to bars, shopping, city centre. The view from the apartment is absolutely amazing and its really nice to grab a drink in the livingroom before going out. I would recommend this apartment if you like to live very central and with a view!"

  • a great apartment, living the high life in Chicago

"This is a spacious, very well appointed apartment with great views. Why would anyone stay in a hotel room when you can have all of this space and such a high level of amenities? The kitchen is extremely well stocked, with everything you could need including some things that aren’t normally found such as spices and helpful things like cling wrap. This is ideal if you are interested in some self catering, especially given the supermarket on the ground floor of the building. The apartment was very clean, and the bed very comfortable. Amenities such as the washing machine and dryer (including washing liquid) are very handy for travellers who are away from home on an extended break. The photos are an accurate representation of the property. The location is ideal, close to everything, Even though there’s public transport on the corner you can walk to many places. International guests should note that this is not what we would refer to as a penthouse – in that it is not on the top floor. I have come across this description of a penthouse in the US which seems to refer to just high floors. We thought we would be on the very top floor to avoid any potential noise from upstairs neighbours, so we were initially a bit concerned. We did not have any noise issues, though. There are a few other quibbles. The towels could be newer / better quality. The plastic flowers are not to everyone’s taste (well, not to mine!). The main drawback is the extent to which ‘house rules’ are communicated. On the plus side, they are made clear from the start, which is appreciated. There are, however, many plaques throughout the apartment reminding you of specific rules and warning of a loss of deposit each time. This significantly reduces the feeling of being welcomed. As did the detailed email on the day before we left reminding us of the condition in which we should leave the apartment. Perhaps the owner had a bad experience at some point, as all other communication was quite friendly. On the plus side our deposit was returned to us very quickly."

  • Great Location! Million dollar view! Frat house furnishings!

"Love the location of this place for it's accessibility to downtown, the waterfront, the parks, the Art museum and much more. If you're real adventurous like we were, you can can even walk to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. Only 6.2 miles through fun neighborhoods. As for the view, we could not get enough of it. Stunning! What was really nice is that you have the same view from the living area and both bedrooms. As for the furnishing. Sparse, old and worn out. I'm not sure which condo is pictured here but it sure wasn't the 2br 2ba we rented. In the living area there is a black vinyl sofa that has seen better days. An old brown sofa bed that was probably the best piece there and a gold chair that was stained and thread worn with holes. The underneath of the chair was ripped and hanging on the floor. Two black end tables with chips in them. One had the TV on it. (It also would have been nice to have a television that had cable access). The dinning room table has seen better days also. Along with its miss matched chairs. The two beds were basically a frame, box spring and a mattress. No backboards. Also the carpets could use an upgrade. Especially in the master bedroom where there were actually hole in it. But all in all the location and the view would bring us back. With a little sprucing up of course."
