  • Second time at this location and will go back

"This is our second visit to this penthouse location and it was everything we remembered and hoped for. Outstanding location. You can train in from O'Hare airport and never need a car. The unit is very clean and well equipped and the view is unsurpassed. There are bike rentals nearby which gave us access to Lakeshore Drive. We also walked to the Chicago Theater, the River Walk, Miracle Mile and numerous restaurants."

  • Great home in a peaceful neighborhood.

"We truly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Bittersweet Place condo. Andrea was very helpful and friendly. The condo was clean, spacious, and well stocked with towels for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. It was a 15 minute walk to the 'El' station and only 2 minutes to the bus stop, so we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go. It took about 30-40 minutes to get downtown. We did not have a car, but a parking space was available right in front of the unit. We loved the quiet and pretty neighborhood. We spent most of our evenings sitting on the back patio. We walked to Whole Foods, a pizzeria, and Montrose Beach as well. We cooked all our breakfasts and one dinner in the large kitchen. We loved our visit to Chicago- 4 days was not enough! We would definitely stay here again and reccommend it to others."

  • Ideal Downtown Chicago Location

"We were very pleased with our choice in accommodations. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL and peaceful street in the Gold Coast area. This brownstone was perfect for our family (2 Adults, 2 kids (7 & 9) and our adult friend). The spaces were perfectly sized and more than enough room for all of us. All the supplies were there as needed, such as paper goods, linens for all pull outs and regular bedrooms. The kitchen was complete and was perfect for all our leftovers from the very nearby restaurants. We were in walking distance to The Drake, Hancock Tower, and all of the Mag Mile and Riverwalk. The beach was close by, but we ran out of time to walk over there. Perfect location. The off site parking was a little pricey ($36/day) but was attended by Steve, who's very personable and befriended our daughters each time we visited our vehicle. Be sure to make sure you're not blocked in on the night before you'd like to leave, as they pack this space full during the day with people working close by. You can move your car from space to space, but they discourage In/Out privileges. We would definitely consider this property again if we were to return to Chicago with our children. We could choose a smaller property upstairs if it were available for us as a couple. Thanks to the owners for offering this property to us! Wendy"

  • Business and pleasure ...

"This is such a great place to stay in Chicago! Literally 25 steps from the Grand stop on the Red Line, the location can't be beat, especially with all the restaurants, the river, and the Magnificent Mile all an easy walking distance. Great views of the lake and Chicago 360 (i.e. John Hancock Observatory). I have stayed in other rental properties before, but this was the best appointed--it had everything we needed to feel at home and a grocery store right downstairs. Jim and Jeri-Lou are great about communication before and after the stay. I hope to stay in Penthouse #6 again the next time I come to Chicago in a few months."
