  • Girls Getaway

"We had a large group of ladies come into Chicago for an engagement party - 8 ladies spent the night here, but we hosted a gift exchange with 16 total people and everyone fit comfortably. This was perfect for us and our needs! The house was great and the bedrooms were comfortable. There is grocery store not too far away which was especially convenient when we discovered that there was no coffee provided! (Tho there was a coffee pot which was helpful.) There are some dishes/utensils, but I would recommend bringing your own as there is a random assortment and I wouldn't depend on something being there. Same goes for any cooking utensils/pots/pans/etc. The location was fine - we were unsure about the area but we never felt unsafe. We stayed in January so were unable to use the outdoor space and spent most of the time inside anyways. We had zero problems using Uber to and from the house."

  • Business and pleasure ...

"This is such a great place to stay in Chicago! Literally 25 steps from the Grand stop on the Red Line, the location can't be beat, especially with all the restaurants, the river, and the Magnificent Mile all an easy walking distance. Great views of the lake and Chicago 360 (i.e. John Hancock Observatory). I have stayed in other rental properties before, but this was the best appointed--it had everything we needed to feel at home and a grocery store right downstairs. Jim and Jeri-Lou are great about communication before and after the stay. I hope to stay in Penthouse #6 again the next time I come to Chicago in a few months."

  • Nice Stay in Roscoe Village

"My daughter and I had a nice visit as we moved her into Northwestern. This was our first stay in the penthouse loft and it was very nice. We spent some nice time on the loving deck overlooking Roscoe on some lovely September evenings. Nice kitchen and furnishings. We also had another killer breakfast at Kitsch'n on Roscoe. Those are the best hash browns I've every had! Parking is pretty easy on the side streets. We had no troubles. It was about a 30 min ride to Evanston and the traffic wasn't too bad."

  • Nice birthday weekend

"Went with the family to celebrate my 50th. Location was perfect, 3 blocks from the El, simple almost straight shot from midway (orange to the red). Street was so cute, I felt very safe, lots of places to eat very close by, everything else, just uber or take the El. Place was clean, but did encounter some ants, it happens. Leaky sink, but we put a bowl under it and left message for DAT mgt. Wifi works fine in living room, but not in the back bedrooms. It's a rental, so not a,pot of money out into the bedding, beds were fine, but the comforters were those slick/slippery ones. I would stay again, for sure. Dan was not very prompt to respond to emails, and never heard back after leaving message the sink leaked, so would encourage him in that respect, but otherwise would stay again."
