  • worked out very well in terms of location

"It was a very pleasant stay. A few thing that needs to be looked at - the deck is not safe. the wooden slats on the ground move and are not secured all the w ay around. I had a visitor of a three year old child, and he kept falling. I ended up never using the deck. I feel that an adjustment needs to be made in the price until the deck is fixed. The soap in the shower was empty. the spiral staircase is difficult to get up and down if you have a large suitcase. or are carrying big grocery bags. There needed to have been garbage bags. I bought my own from my son's house. I couldnt figure out how to find cable TV. Instructions need to be left for that. But the flat is full of light. The bed is very comfortable. I was not bothered by noise from the cafe below - i brought along a sound machine. For me the location was perfect. Thank you"

  • Loved Roscoe Village and This House!

"We stayed here with our two grown sons. This trip was a surprise for one of our sons who just graduated college. We brought him to two cubs games, and it didn't hurt any that they won both! We let him sleep in the master bedroom with the awesome Directv! We let our other son have the 2nd bedroom and we took the couch. The flowers in the rooms were just beautiful and you could tell from the backyard garden that the owner has a green thumb! I'm sure the flowers came from her garden! Our unit was on the 1st floor of a 3 story house. The area is so cool, with all the row houses. We had such fun walking to Wrigley and looking at all the different houses. The atmosphere was awesome and we found the residents here so friendly, we didn't want to come back home! We also really enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the deck and listening to the birds, it was so relaxing! We would definitely recommend this to anybody and would love to maybe come again in the future!"

  • This place delivers!

"I stayed here just prior to the July 4th holiday in 2016. Although I am an Illinois native (born in Chicago), I was not familiar with Andersonville. I was definitely not disappointed, the rental and the location would be hard to beat! The apartment is appointed perfectly to bring back memories of Chicago and everything is provided for you. Had I needed anything (which I didn't), I had every confidence that requests would be promptly honored. I was a little concerned about coming without a car but, believe me, for anything within reasonable distance, it is really unnecessary. The public transportation system is excellent and nearby (I was happily surprised that CTA-specific navigation information is now built right in to the popular map applications on mobile devices... how easy is that?). I also had very few plans pre-determined (except for a concert I attended at Wrigley Field), but suggestions from the locals were freely offered. All you have to do is spend some time in downtown Andersonville, enjoy the sights, food, and people and you'll have plenty of new friends before you know it - AND suggestions for places "the locals go to". Perfect! I would love to return here in the future, and perhaps I will, but my recent trip and the lodgings exceeded my expectations."
