  • Cute cottage with a great location

"We enjoyed our week in Cottage C. It's roomy and comfortable on the whole. The layout is a little odd--with two bedrooms and two bathrooms off the kitchen--but it worked surprisingly well to allow everyone privacy and quiet after the kids went to sleep. We loved the outdoor spaces--all the decks and the patio, and especially the little screened porch off the master bedroom. The community of cottages is adorable and quiet (despite one very sour neighbor who seemed offended by our very existence and lost her head when my husband mistakenly came into the parking lot through the exit--God forbid!). I do wish the kitchen were a little more accommodating: Even with all of our meals prepared or prepped in advance, I struggled a little. And I was disappointed by the cleanliness when we arrived: When I wiped off the kitchen table, the cloth came away brown (Yuck!), and the kitchen trash can lid looked like it had never been cleaned before. On the upside, though, it's less than 1/4 mile to the beach at McKinley Street (which is by far the better of the two nearby beaches--quiet and sandy), an easy and pleasant walk. You can literally come here, park your car, and never drive anywhere all week since little restaurants and shops are a half mile down Townline. It's a great spot, on the whole."

  • Peaceful beach retreat

"This was a wonderful beach retreat for a summer weekend. The house had all the amenities listed, so all we needed to do was to bring groceries, clothing, and beach towels! It was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and when it got warm, the a/c brought the temperature down quickly. Large windows let you see all the trees, and zero traffic. You can't beat the block walk to the uncrowded beach, either. Linda made booking this house on short notice very easy. She answered all my questions promptly, and accessing the house was simple. I recommend the Third Coast Spice Cafe in Chesterton for delicious breakfasts and lunches (when you don't want to cook yourself) and the annual Necktie Run in Beverly Shores for any runner who wants a friendly, well-organized 5k race."

  • LOVED IT

"Home from a wonderful week-end stay at this cottage. Home was exceptionally clean and we loved the decorating. So many unique touches. A perfect location for biking Harbor County. A short walk to the beach for a late afternoon lunch after a day of beautiful MI weather for biking. You won't be disappointed staying here."

  • Perfect Family vacation spot

"This is a wonderful home for a family getaway! The space was perfect for our family. The well appointed kitchen had all the amenities to cook wonderful meals and enjoy them on the large screened in porch complete with fireplace! The tranquil environment allowed our family to enjoy our time together immensely. The short walk to the beach was actually quite lovely! This home accomidated our son and daughter in law, our special needs adult daughter and ourselves very well. We enjoyed several restaurants in the area, including delivery from Miller's Pizza! Thank you so very much for a wonderful week!"
