  • July 2016 Family Vacation

"We rented this house for 5 adults and 5 children, all under the age of 7. It was perfect for us. The huge wrap around porch was a big hit with the kids, as they were able to ride their small bikes there. They also enjoyed riding around the cul-de-sac, which was not busy at all. One of the biggest hits for the kids was the front yard was so sandy and they could play in it with their sand toys. The back upstairs balcony was perfect for watching fireworks off in the distance and both balconies for just relaxing in the evening. This was our 4th time at Beachwalk and I can't say anything bad about this place. Plenty of parking both in the front and the back. We did rent a golf cart separately from the house and that was a big hit as well! And only 5 minutes from Blue Chip Casino."

  • Great house in a great location

"We've stayed here four times and will be back next year! A cozy house nestled in the woods - and only a 10-minute walk to the beach. Perfect for families. The owners, Ian and Mariya are wonderful, and there are plently of cute areas nearby to explore. (St. Joe's and New Buffalo, for example.) Lots of bikes in the garage and a huge yard to play in. We love it!"

  • Clean, quaint and perfect!

"For those looking for a small cottage within a short walking distance of the beach, this is great! The cottage itself is a bit dated, but it has been nicely kept and renovated with current technology and comforts. Yes, the houses in this area are close together, but I never felt as if my privacy was being invaded. This is a nice property, as it sits off the road (giving it more privacy and quiet ambiance) and has a small yard with a fire pit and plenty of space for a pet. It also includes off-street parking, which is a major plus! The listing says that it is "parking for two," although I would question that depending on what type of vehicle you drive. Two sedans could fit in this space, but I'm not so sure about two vans. Some things to consider when renting: 1. The cottage has a full kitchen with many tools, dishes and what-nots to help you prepare meals. 2. While there are plastic blinds on the bedroom windows, there are no curtains or shades. There are shades in the living and dining area, but they are shear. This is great for brightening up the room. However, for people like me who prefer a much darker room when sleeping, you may want to think about ways to help you avoid this problem. 3. Within walking distance of the property is a big park and the Michigan City Zoo. Also within the park is a nice splash water park for cooling off. (Please check operating times before going.) 4. The beach was wonderful. Our family visited in August and the water was cool and clean. Locals and vacationers in this area were very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this property to renters."
