  • Rustic Meets Modern

"My mother and her 3 children, 3 in-laws, and 7 grandchildren stayed here from Wednesday to Sunday. What a great birthday present for my mom to have all of us together. The cabin had 4 bedrooms with a door (king, queen/single combo, queen, queen), 1 loft area with a queen bed, and in the basement there were 5 beds sort of in the middle of the basement out in the open. This setup worked great as my mom and all of her kids got a bedroom with a door and the grandkids got the remaining open beds. The cabin had a nice kitchen with dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils along with a dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and a hibachi grill. The living room had a chess set which got a lot of use and it had a kitchen table with a leaf in it for eating and card playing. It also had a satellite TV (I think there were a total of 4 TVs in the house) and a wood burning fireplace which got lots of use. The cabin also had 4.5 baths. Outside the cabin had an outdoor fireplace, a gas grill, and a fire pit along with a deck around the entire house that was great for sitting on or playing cornhole or even laying in the hammock. About 50 yards from the front door of the cabin was another building that had a ping pong table, treadmills, and an open space for exercise. It was a great building to let the grandkids play. With 15 people in a cabin, the outdoor and other building amenities allowed the space to never feel crowded. We loved the experience of the cabin and will go back again. It was an awesome cabin loved by all generations. My only complaint was that the wifi put off a strong signal but the speed was not good. You could not stream music and it took it several minutes to download an app. The best part was that our kids were not constantly on their phones, but since there was really no wifi and no cell service that deep in the woods, we did feel disconnected from the world except for the TV which wasn't a bad thing. It made it had to communicate with ourselves if anyone headed into town for anything. Even texting proved to be difficult."

  • Ladies Golf Trip

"We had 8 women stay here for 2 nights. We absolutely loved the condo. So roomy, so open and in excellent condition! Sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. The convenient location was a big plus. We are also tennis players and we were able to play indoors practically right outside our door. It was really hot that day so it was a welcome relief. With the French Lick Resort across the street, it was so nice not to have to drive. The manager and owner (who I met as I was struggling to get in the condo-security plus building) are so terrific and easy to work with. Abby, the manager, answered all of our questions so promptly and was an absolute delight. Absolute wonderful trip for us. Really beautiful condo."
