  • Perfection!

"PERFECTION. That is the one word to describe a stay at Robinwood Inn! I booked Maybelle’s cabin (the most private) for our 30th wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been better. Literally every moment spent here was a joy- in fact, we’d planned to go into Nashville one day for the cute shops and artistic history, and hike the last day at the gorgeous state park and we wound up not setting foot off the property- it was just TOO relaxing and wonderful! Tyra and Lance clearly put much love and care into making a incredible place to unwind. Such a deft mix of modern and vintage, done with a light hand- just enough ‘decoration’ to make it charming without screaming at you from every corner. YOU WILL FIND NO DUCK DECOYS OR CUTE FISHING SIGNS HERE! (a theme that seems to dominate most cabin rentals ;) Highlights: -Hot Tub! We’d never done it in winter and clearly hot tubs were made for winter nights! Fantastic, super clean, and hot! -Animals! We are animal lovers and hanging out with their big handsome pup, Romeo, who visits for treats, and the chickens and miniature horses who live behind Maybelle’s were so fun- we fed the horses apples, and watch them meander about their day. And there were visits from a beautiful herd of deer, tons of birds- cardinals, bluejays, juncos, etc. -Thoughtful touches! Our cabin had a record player, and tons of records form the 40’s- 80’s. We had a terrific time listening to the songs we listened to when we were first dating... a completely delightful surprise! -Modern wonders! Satellite radio -Big band music was playing when we walked in, and it seemed so perfect that when we weren't playing records we were listening to this: it seemed to go perfectly with Maybelles, which was built in the 30’s. Sparkling jacuzzi tub, with adorable reading light over it. Big, pure white, quality beds! Well stocked kitchen! Cool vintage pieces! Lovely landscaping- even in winter! -The Innkeepers- We wanted to meet the people who had worked so hard on this terrific place, and we did, and they are awesome. But we could have gone our entire stay without talking to them, if we had wanted to be that private. They arrange everything so that your involvement is your choice- another thoughtful touch! Clearly, I can not say enough good things about Robinwood Inn. We have already decided to make this an annual trip if we can for our anniversary, and to return in milder weather. Brown County is beautiful and has lots to enjoy... maybe next time w"

  • Another great family vacation!

"We have stayed in this rental home many times and it's perfect for our family. Lots of space and perfect location. Yard is large and a great space for the kids to run and play as well as bonfires & s'mores at night. New sleeper sofa in family room is a great addition--very comfortable mattress! Walking distance to shops, restaurants and lake. Thanks for another great vacation--the kids look forward to coming to this house!"

  • Fantastic Peaceful Getaway

"My family I recently stayed 5 days, 4 nights and had a great, relaxing time. There were 4 adults, two children, and a teenager and there was more than enough room for all of us. The house was very clean and was stocked with all but food. We arrived Sunday before official check-in time, and Albert was fantastic and let us check-in early! We dropped our bags off and made the short 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach was GORGEOUS!. Soft sands and crystal clear water. On the ultra clear days, Chicago skyline is very visible from the beach. Since the house is located in a community, you also get the benefit of the beach being private!. Monday-Thursday, there were literally only one or two other families on our stretch of beach! The Indiana Dunes and Marquette Park are each a definite must, as both offered amazing views of the lake from the top of a dune. If you are looking for a place that was vibrant nightlife and places to go each night, this will not be the place for you, but if you are looking for a quiet relaxing time with all of the necessities, then this will be perfect. I would definitely stay again, as essentially having the beach to yourself, on a hot sunny day, with nothing but the sound of your kids and the small waves hitting the shore, is priceless. Small bonus, there is a Doe and her two fawns that live in the wooded area behind the house, we got to see them multiple times. :)"

  • Family Perfect!

"Such a good experience! The house was perfect for our large graduation celebration of 15 people. Lots of room and seating and a well equipped kitchen. We especially loved sitting on the front screened in porch with coffee in the morning. And, of course, it helps that Starbucks is just a couple of blocks morning walk. As are several pubs and restaurants! Refreshing to be able to walk everywhere; even our graduation at the Notre Dame campus. The city water....not so good. Be sure to buy some bottled water. Can be bought at Whole Foods in large containers quite reasonably. Would highly recommend and would stay here again...at our next graduation!"
