  • Nice cottage beautiful view and nice clean lake with many things to do.

"Myself and seven of my lady friends go every year on a extended girls weekend. This place was very relaxing but also had many things to do. We had eight of us and slept very comfortably. We floated around off the dock on rafts, did some fishing and rented the pontoon for a day. Long Lake is a beautiful lake and the view is spectacular from the house. I would definitely recommend this for a girls weekend or a family wanting to relax and enjoy the water."

  • Very clean and relaxing

"the cabin was very clean and the owners very friendly. We fished off the dock and out of the boat they provided. the deck was relaxing to sit on in the morning and evening. We were able to see a doe and her two fawns out in the yard almost every day. I was very quiet and relaxing. There was a fully stocked kitchen, and we cooked our own meals. The only thing I wish they had was a DVD player to watch movies in the evening, although we did venture to the movie theater in Stergis, MI (4 miles away) It was quaint and quite enjoyable!"

  • One of the best locations on Lake Oliver

"My Wife and I stayed in this very attractive lake home from August 19 to the 26th. The west shore location provided beautiful sunrise views in the morning and the decks on the lake side of the home became shaded during the afternoon and evening hours. We were able to rent a pontoon from K & C Marine for a reasonable price and during three of the days we spent an hour or so cruising Oliver Lake and the adjoining Olin Lake which is undeveloped. Connected to Olin Lake is the small developed Martin Lake. We were surprised that there was so little traffic on the lake during our stay. The aluminum dock was very sturdy and the water depth at the end of the dock was between two and a half to three feet, with a good sandy bottom for children to play or practice their swimming skills. This property was a convenient location for daily excursions that we enjoyed. Some included the town of Elkhart with the 523 Tap and Grill, the National New York Central Railroad Museum, the Beardsley Mansion, and the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum. Shipshewana offered the Hostetler Hudson Auto Museum and the 5 & 20 Country Kitchen at the corner of 5 and Highway 20. La Grange on State Road 9 offered a close Super Value and Wolcottville offered Coody Browns eating establishment and outside of town, Cook's Bison Ranch . Since this property is located in Amish Country you can expect to see the Amish families and individuals in horse-drawn carriages, on bicycles, or walking by the edge of the roads. There are plenty of Amish owned businesses including restaurants, bakeries, cheese stores, quilt stores and furniture shops. It was a pleasure dealing with Jenessa Boniface, owner, and I would recommend the experience of a stay at this relaxing vacation spot."
